California Democrats gain only 190 new voters in 200 days

Republicans enjoyed an increase of 48,104 new registrations and 82,723 have No Party Preference

According to a report from California Secretary of State’s office, Democrats have only gained 190 new voter registrations in the last 200 days compared to an increase of 48,104 Republican voters, 82,723 have No Party Preference, and 29,350 “Other” voters since February 10, 2025.

Nearly half of all voters are registered with the Democratic Party, 25 percent are registered with the Republican Party, and 22 percent have no party preference. California is home to nearly 27 million voters who will each receive a ballot in the mail for the upcoming November 4, Prop 50 special election.

The decrease in new Democrat registrations are in-line to a nationwide drop Democrats have suffered during Joe Biden’s presidency.

As reported by The Globe, “between the elections of 2020 and 2024, Democrats lost 2.1 million voters compared to Republicans’ gain of  2.4 million voters. In swing states like Nevada and North Carolina, Democrats are on life support as registration advantages have plunged. Representing a cross-section of age groups and demographics, voters have resoundingly rejected the rhetoric and policies espoused by the Biden administration and the Democrat party at large.”

A recent article in the NY Times summarized a study that found Democrats are hemorrhaging voters, so much so that in four short years during the Biden administration, Republicans erased registration advantages in all 30 states that track voter registration by party, including the key swing states of Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

“That four-year swing toward the Republicans adds up to 4.5 million voters, a deep political hole that could take years for Democrats to climb out from,” the Times reports. The Times analysis found that “fewer and fewer Americans are choosing to be Democrats,” for the first time since 2018.

“I don’t want to say, ‘The death cycle of the Democratic Party,’ but there seems to be no end to this,” said Michael Pruser, who tracks voter registration closely as the director of data science for Decision Desk HQ, an election-analysis site. “There is no silver lining or cavalry coming across the hill. This is month after month, year after year.”

In California, only 190 people in 200 days are choosing to be Democrats which is good news for Republican candidates, but a bad omen for California Democrats who continue to pass burdensome regulations, higher taxes, and obsess over national politics rather than the needs of their constituents.

In a recent interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Vice President J.D. Vance advised Democrats to “Stop sounding like crazy people.” With these pathetic voter registration numbers, California Democrats should heed the Vice President’s advice.

  1. “California Democrats gain only 190 new voters in 200 days”

Unfortunately for the normal people in California, the deranged California Democrats don’t need to register REAL new voters. They can manufacture as many votes as needed to win elections using their corrupt election system – Dominion, no voter id, universal mail-in ballots, ballot harvesting, no time limit on counting votes……Watch what happens to Prop 50.

  2. VOTE NO on PROP 50 and drop your completed ballot in the mail as soon as you have a chance after your ballot arrives. Suggest you skip the “drop box;” just put it in the mail.
Repubs and sensible Dems who oppose this HUGE CHEAT, also known as the Election Rigging Act, need to participate in big numbers on this one.
    VOTE NO on PROP 50.

    1. Should read “Repubs, independents (No Party Preference), and sensible Dems…” There, that’s better.

    2. Agree,Show! I will bring it to the department of elections to vote in person only because I noticed that ,here in Marin, they are allowing voting at a local community center up to eleven days before the election.
Unless they have an official election employee/volunteer there, I would have concerns.
I always thought that there a supposed to be a sort of ‘chain of custody’ with our completed ballots.

      1. Sounds good, Mary! Yes, I also heard that there are some early voting options and if voters want to do that it seems fine as far as I know. I avoid the “drop boxes” only because I have a memory that they are kind of sketchy? For those who mail their ballots as I typically do, you can go to your county’s website and check to see that your ballot arrived and was counted. Where I am in L.A. County, once I signed in to check my ballot’s arrival, from then on in subsequent elections “ballotrax” emailed me that my ballot arrived and had been counted. Voting early allows us time to fix registrar non-receipt of ballots if that should occur. I think that’s the best we’re going to do at this point with “chain of custody,” which, as you know, isn’t what it used to be. Hope that will be rectified soon. 🙂

  3. Thank you for this article.
This is proof that there is no need for Shifty Prop 50.
I wonder what will be the issue that Newsom pulls that finally goes to far with California democrats.

  4. The criminal Democrat thug mafia will ensure that their voting base of illegals and dead people vote at least twice, they’ll create bogus mail-in ballots, and they’ll tweak the voting machines in Democrat controlled cities to ensure an election is stolen.
