Teen Opinion: Choose The Right Way

All the DOE cared about was DEI and teaching kids if you don’t buy into the woke agenda of the left you must be racist

By Jordan Brace, February 10, 2025 2:52 am

I have always had strong conservative values. I love God, family and country. I believe lying is a sin, honesty and loyalty are crucial and always do the right thing even when it’s most difficult.

Never break hearts or promises, always help people and animals in need, and thank and appreciate our heroes every day. I am pro-life, there are 2 genders and I believe DEI was meant to brainwash and divide us. I don’t see, care or judge by skin color or religion and believe we should all have the same opportunities based on merit and what is truly in our hearts. I believe the Department of Education shouldn’t be raising your children or encouraging them to mutilate their bodies while calling parents trying to protect their children domestic terrorists. I believe in following the law and if you come into our country illegally you shouldn’t be here. I believe in punishing criminals and keeping violent criminals behind bars while protecting their victims. I believe in America first, Veterans before illegals and there should never be a homeless veteran. I support and respect President Donald Trump, our Flag and those who disrespect them and our country need to leave our country. Those are my beliefs and the only way I know how to live.

I thought most of the people in my life had similar beliefs, I was wrong. I write op-eds for the California Globe and I am very grateful to them for publishing my work. I wrote an op-ed on the California School System being a complete failure and because of that piece I was invited on Fox News, the Trace Gallagher show, where I explained and expressed my opinions and gave the reasoning behind writing it on that subject.

After my op-ed was published and after I appeared on Fox News, all of a sudden there were people spreading rumors about me that were and are completely false. They claimed I am homophobic, a racist, I hate my school and I want to take women’s rights to abortion away.

None of that is true but this is what I do believe. I personally believe abortion is murder, I am certainly not racist or homophobic and my op-ed clearly referred to the California public school system. Because of a woke DOE public schools are failing kids who are then failing their classes, test scores are at an all time low, school books were replaced with sex books, story time was replaced with drag shows and as these kids are being groomed and pushed through the public school system uneducated and unprepared for any kind of successful future.

Meanwhile, all the DOE cared about was DEI and teaching kids if you don’t buy into the woke agenda of the left you must be racist.

I was mocked, laughed at, put down and bullied until I sank into such a deep depression I had a difficult time pulling out of it. I had panic attacks at the thought of even going outside. I was called racist, a Nazi which is ridiculous because I’m Jewish, I had people insult my looks and try to cut me down for the very moral code I live by. I’ve been bullied for my political and moral beliefs before, but this was at an entirely new level.

Because of this my self esteem suffered and I don’t trust as easily as I used to. When I tried to explain what I meant in my op-ed and on Fox News people refused to listen. My life became very difficult for a while because of the bullying and losing people I considered close to me. As difficult and painful as this has been I refuse to compromise my morals and ethics because of it. I will not give others the power to intimidate me or tear me down. I hope I can reach other kids, teens and adults and help them do the same, to support them so they don’t feel alone, so they don’t feel like they have nowhere to turn if they are bullied for any reason and to hold on to what they know is right even in the face of adversity.

I look at all that President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have endured and still do and what I went through certainly pales in comparison. Their strength and determination, love of God, family and country, of always doing the right thing gives me the strength to face whatever comes my way. I am blessed to have an amazing family and my true friends who have stood by me and I stand with all of them and all those who have to endure the pain and feeling of isolation from bullying.

Please know you are not alone and there is help. Let’s all put an end to bullying and lift each other up rather than tearing each other down. Make someone feel special today because in God’s eyes we are all special. Only you can choose your path, please make sure it’s the Right Way.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell my story.
