The Los Angeles Times warns that “COVID-19 is once again climbing to troubling levels in California.”
Pray tell, is California Governor Gavin Newsom scheming on another lockdown?
But this is the real story lede:
“The rise in COVID comes as the Trump administration has delayed the rollout of the updated vaccine for the fall.”
“There is a lot of COVID out there,” said Dr. Peter Chin-Hong, an infectious disease expert at UC San Francisco. “COVID is coming a little bit later than last year.”
Dr. Peter Chin-Hong might show more concern over California’s latest epic fail – a Government-Created Rodent Plague. Rodent populations are exploding because California politicians outlawed the most effective tools to control them.
Doctors are blaming the latest Covid levels on kids:
Dr. Elizabeth E. Hudson, the regional physician chief of infectious diseases for Kaiser Permanente Southern California says, “With back-to-school season in full swing … we are expecting to see an uptick in COVID in children over the next few weeks and this is already being seen in some parts of the country.”
I thought we already dispelled the false claim that kids are Covid vectors:
“Students have never been a major vector” [for COVID] Dr. Dr. Peter McCullough said in a Globe interview three years ago. “There were no school outbreaks even in the first year,” he said. “And even in the pandemic and second year, there have been no major outbreaks.”
The LA Times calls this “a worrying trend as health officials attempt to navigate a vaccine landscape thrown into uncertainty by delays and decisions from the Trump administration.”
“Navigating a vaccine landscape…” could that be because for the first time in more than three decades there is justified heightened scrutiny on pharmaceutical company’s lengthy list of mandatory vaccines?
It’s all about the shot: “Last year, the federal government had fully green-lighted the annual reformulation of the vaccine by June, in time for a rollout that began in September. This year, however, the Department of Health and Human Services led by vaccine skeptic Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has in effect delayed the rollout of this fall’s COVID shot.”
Can you believe that anyone is still claiming the Covid vaccine is still necessary for school children?
Dr. “Chin-Hong said that the timing of the vaccine rollout is in such flux and he recommends anyone at risk for severe complications from COVID who hasn’t been vaccinated in more than a year to get inoculated now.”
Three years ago while California was still suffering under Gavin Newsom’s statewide covid lockdowns of businesses and schools, I interviewed Dr. Peter McCullough:
As for asymptomatic people, Dr. McCullough says they should not be tested. “Asymptomatic people do not spread the illness,” he said. Dr. McCullough said there are two good papers by CAO and Madewell showing the COVID tests are not cleared by the FDA for asymptomatic screening. “The FDA doesn’t endorse it. The CDC doesn’t endorse it. The WHO doesn’t endorse it. So no one should be getting asymptomatic testing. It should only be done as a diagnostic and for those acutely ill with COVID symptoms.”
“I never advise my patients to do asymptomatic testing,” McCullough added. “Even now, we just do COVID testing when we think there is some clinical question to be answered. And Omicron is basically a viral cold, so common at this time.”
McCullough has continually warned that “all children do not need all vaccines. Which vaccines a child gets should be determined on a risk basis. For example, a child with cystic fibrosis might need the respiratory illness vaccines, but healthy kids probably don’t.”
“Yet these vaccines are given to all children in part, he said, because the people who advise the CDC on which vaccines should be recommended for children have serious conflicts of interest — most take money from Big Pharma. Then schools enact mandates based on those recommendations, leaving parents feeling as if they have no choice.”
“McCullough said the CDC has turned a blind eye to vaccine safety. For example, none of the childhood vaccines have been studied for safety when given in combination.”
McCullough said the recommendation that children take the COVID-19 vaccine, given its alarming safety data, was “the last straw.”
“That act was irresponsible. It triggered the World Council for Health, which is an evidence-based, consensus-driven body to recommend waiting on all the childhood vaccines,” he said.
“Vaccines are not safe or effective enough to mandate,” McCullough said. “Every parent and child unit should be able to make their own decisions free of any pressure, coercion, or threat of reprisal.”
McCullough also cited a recent study by the Children’s Health Defense science team, which showed that combining multiple vaccines is dangerous. Spacing them out and giving them individually — rather than combining three vaccines into one shot, like the measles-mumps-rubella, or MMR, vaccine — is safer, he said.
Yet the LA Times reports:
In a blog post, Dr. Matt Willis, former public health officer for Marin County, wrote that “California’s in the middle of a COVID-19 wave, and statewide rates are among the highest in the nation.”
Well, California is the most populous state in the nation.
And the UCSF doctor Chin-Hong told the LA Times:
People at severe risk for COVID illness include those 65 and older, those who have compromised immune systems, those who are pregnant, and all infants and children age 6 months to 23 months. (Children age 2 to 5 are also at greater risk for complications from COVID compared with older children.) [emphasis the Globe]
Dr. Chin-Hong is still pimping out infants, babies and young children for the compromised Covid shot.
“If they haven’t gotten it in a year, just go ahead, maybe, get it now,” Chin-Hong said. “Because also, the vaccine that’s being proposed [for this fall] is relatively the same formula as last year. … It’s less important to wait.”
“We have a whole new discussion, like, ‘When is it coming? Who is it going to be eligible for? … Do kids have to talk to their pediatrician first? Would pharmacists actually allow them to get it? … Would healthy pregnant people [be able] to get it?” Chin-Hong said.
“Pregnant people.” Well, that explains a lot.
Dr. “McCullough said the vaccine is appropriate for him, but babies are not at risk for it unless their mother has the illness or is an active IV drug user. For most babies, he said, it is a ‘completely unnecessary shot on the first day of life.’”
The LA Department of Health and Human Services calls Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a “vaccine skeptic,” and consequently says he has in effect delayed the rollout of this fall’s COVID shot, rather than the mountains of data that the Covid shots have serious side effects and broad safety concerns.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health claims “current evidence continues to show that the vaccines are safe and effective across all ages.”
We remember what tyrants Public Health officials were during covid. So where are we going with this propaganda?

My 94 year old Mother was diagnosed with COVID last week for the first time ever. She lives in Michigan at an Assisted Living Facility. We don’t know where or how she got it and, in reality, right now, it doesn’t matter.
My brother, who lives close to her, took her to the hospital and after finding out she had it, would still visit but wearing a mask. He’s had COVID twice before with Paxlovid after the first bout and got it again two weeks later. Here’s the kicker. He’s had every shot and booster and still got it.
We don’t know when she’s going to be released from the hospital or how COVID is affecting her other health issues. I mean, she is 94.
With all that in mind, we (myself and my siblings) are not screaming for isolation for everyone.
CPUNerd, I know you’re a Globe regular so if you followed the Covid story here, way back when, you already know you may have nothing — or next-to-nothing — to worry about regarding your 94 year old mother. Here in California, Covid tests were shown to be wildly unreliable and inaccurate, and in any case the “Covid” of 2020 is probably now much degraded to something like a mild-to-moderate cold. Is it possible Michigan, like California, is trying to scare people to keep the Covid narrative alive for their own purposes? Also is it possible your brother didn’t receive natural immunity from having Covid BECAUSE he was vaccinated and had been boosted so many times? There is evidence that —- at least in some, maybe not all, cases — this vaccine regimen can damage our immune systems. Thus a regularly vaccinated person may be more vulnerable to picking up random illnesses and Covid too. From my own experience with family on this topic I wonder if one of the complications here is that you are unable to productively talk with your brother about these matters?
I certainly hope I am not speaking out of turn here, but officials have been so untruthful and so wrong for so long that it is becoming more and more difficult to tease out the truth. Wanted to say, though, that your unfortunate situation with your mother (and other family in Michigan) regarding Covid may not be as dire as it appears to be.

Thanks Showandtell..!! You’re 100% correct in everything. Wife and I had COVID in Dec, 2020 and due to Mom, got the moderna shots early 2021. No flu shots, no shingles shots, and not boosters. We have not been sick except for simple head colds that occasionally popup.
As to Michigan’s response, they aren’t saying anything right now. However, we all know that Gruesome will try and do anything to lock down the State to make sure his stupid redistricting scam is passed. I can see him closing the State down until after the November election.
Good thing we now live in Nevada and will end our annual visit to California next week.

So disappointed. What happened to the deaths en masse we were promised? Still surrounded by so many people. I was looking forward to a Bay Area like the one portrayed in the sci-fi novel “The Earth Abides”.
Why do the homeless continue to multiply? People living in filth and squalor with poor sanitation would be a fertile ground for such a “dangerous” disease. Not to mention all the people living on the street with a needle in their arm.

While there are still a very few who will drive alone while wearing masks, there is a microscopic segment of the population who genuinely fear dying from covid. No parasitic organism survives by wiping out its host(s) so covid seems to have evolved to be relatively harmless. From what I see, regular people got tired of the insessant covid hype and then went on about their lives. Then, almost immediately, the narrative slammed into high gear about monkey pox, which most people rightly ignored. So, it seems the narrative creationists have reverted to doomsday covid, and from what I see, no one’s paying any attention to the noise.
Well, they keep voting for people like that stupid pile of dog-schitt like Gavin Newscum and that dumber than a fence post Karen Bass. IQ lower than their shoe size.
I could reply with the observation that texans are all balls and no brains, but having met super decent texans I know that’s not entirely true and quite unfair. There are others who refer to texas as “baja oklahoma,” but that’s just some oklahomans poking sharp sticks at their southern neighbors. However, when I was working out of Denver, COLORADO more than couple of decades ago ago, it was quite hypocritical of some carpetbagging texans who objected to californians being present in colorado, why not just go back to texas, or, why are they in colorado to begin with? How about all those texans who prejudge all california women to be insatiable group sex whores, with texas men swarming around california women like buck goats pursuing a doe in heat, while their jealous texas women hate on california women for merely existing? Some people should look in the mirror before trolling on something they know nothing about.
I know people who got covid at least twice while getting all the shots and boosters. I had covid just once, and while it was the most brutally ill I have ever been in my life, I’ve never had anything remotely resembling it since. I hung out with people from all walks of life who disregarded the mandates and it took a year after the panic over it began before I fell sick. I only personally knew one individual who died from it, there seems to be some controversy over whether it was from intubation or lack of theraputics that contributed to his death. Not too far into the panic I heard about how the covid “vaccination” spike protein jacks up your immune system, so I never got the shot. If I recall right, the original covid varient survival rate was like 99 percent, mostly affecting the elderly, obese and immune compromised. I developed pnuemonia which was cleared up with antibiotics, I had no other medical treatment besides a single dose of acetaminophen at the emergency room. I stayed home during the course of my illness, I suspect if I was hospitalized I would have surely died instead of, I beleve, nearly dying at home. I think that those who brought on the mandates, forbid therapeutic treatment and persecuted anyone who spoke or acted contrary to the narrative wanted a spectacular death count so as to facilitate a permanent, totalitarian grip on the population. That is the only apparent reason to me to explain why politicians and health policy poobahs moved their elderly relatives out of nursing homes before they shoved sick people in while forbidding therapeutics. I think they knew more about how covid worked than they let on, and that makes them truly evil.

Starting in 2019 I didn’t stay home, didn’t wear the stupid mask, met with friends inside buildings, and traveled. Never got sick once! Got lots of dirty looks though, but they were harmless.
