Gavin Newsom Whimpers: ‘White House Blocked Me from Speaking at World Economic Forum’

‘No one in Davos knows who third-rate governor Newscum is or why he is frolicking around Switzerland’

California Governor Gavin Newsom was denied entry into USA House in Davos following pressure from the White House, his spokesman says.

“It Looks like the Donald wields more influence with the WEF than Gavin Newsom,” a Globe reader commented.

The Governor’s office said he was blocked by the Trump administration from speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Wednesday.

Newsom was planning on speaking at an event at the annual gathering of world leaders. Newsom’s office staff said they were told that a “venue-level decision” was made to “not include an elected U.S. official” in the programming, the Los Angeles Times reported. A “fireside chat” was scheduled for Wednesday evening in Davos, with media outlet Fortune.

Newsom commented on X Wednesday, saying, “How weak and pathetic do you have to be to be this scared of a fireside chat?”

White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told Newsweek on Wednesday: “No one in Davos knows who third-rate governor Newscum is or why he is frolicking around Switzerland instead of fixing the many problems he created in California.”

Fortune magazine told Newsweek in an emailed statement on Wednesday, “Governor Newsom had been invited to participate in a Fortune conversation at USA House in Davos. Subsequently, USA House determined it would not be able to accommodate the Governor’s participation and communicated that decision to Fortune.”

While President Donald Trump met with Secretary General of NATO Mark Rutte, and said they formed the framework of a future deal on Greenland and the entire Arctic Region, Newsom was sulking.

“This solution, if consummated, will be a great one for the United States of America, and all NATO Nations,” the President posted to Truth Social.

Newsom tried to upstage the President of the United States at the World Economic Forum, confirming that Newsom has the relevance of a yappy Chihuahua to the Trump administration.

But there is more than meets the eye here.

“The 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum convening in Davos on January 19-23 will be the first without its founder, Klaus Schwab,” RealClearWorld reported. “WEF’s new organizers should use the occasion to distance themselves from Schwab’s worst ideas: stakeholder capitalism, ESG investing and the net-zero energy paradigm.”

Gavin Newsom is a graduate of the World Economic Forum’s “Young Global Leaders” (YGL) program.

As Human Events reported in 2022:

YGL graduates are actually trained in the WEF worldview (and usually earlier in their careers, hence the name of the program).

Some of the most powerful people alive have participated this program. World leaders such as Vladimir Putin, Justin Trudeau, Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel, and business leaders like Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page and Sergey Brin are all listed as YGL alumni.

Dan Crenshaw, Gavin Newsom, Adam Kinzinger, Pete Buttigieg, Nikki Haley, Tulsi Gabbard, Texas Congressman Colin Allred, and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego have all been named as YGLs. If you recognize any relatively young politicians from other nations, chances are they may also be YGLs.

Trudeau, Macron, PM of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern, PM of Finland Sanna Marin, PM of Belgium Alexander De Croo and former PM of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadzeare all listed as YGLs, while President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele and Supreme Leader of North Korea Kim Jong-Un are unspecified WEF members. Though there is no evidence yet that Rishi Sunak – the UK’s newest PM – is named as a YGL, he is still a WEF member, and former PMs Boris Johnson and Tony Blair are both listed as YGL alumni.

Perhaps Gavin Newsom is looking to cash in his WEF Young Global Leaders training and take over where founder Klaus Schwab left off since his presidential campaign isn’t going so well.

Gavin Newsom’s latest PR move, attempting to adopt Donald Trump’s  style and conduct, is an unforced error and demonstrates that Newsom has no idea who and what Donald Trump is. He should fire his PR team for putting out offensive X posts and behaving like an ass is presidential.

Gavin Newsom is obnoxious and rude, whereas Trump, hailing from Queens NY, is a take-no-prisoners tough-guy from Queens and New York developer. He’s a 50-year deal maker, with scores of national and international real estate projects under his belt.

Gavin Newsom is a charlatan.

Newsom took the first shot Tuesday in Davos, when he criticized European leaders over their response to Trump’s foreign policy and his administration’s push to take control of Greenland, calling their approach “pathetic” and “embarrassing,” Newsweek reported. “I can’t take this complicity. People rolling over. I should have bought a bunch of knee pads for all the world leaders,” Newsom told reporters on Tuesday in Davos.

Today there are memes of Newsom and his BFF Alex Soros all over social media, with Newsom wearing kneepads, Newsom in a NASCAR-style suit emblazoned with sponsor patches, and Newsom and Soros embracing, as well as a Newsom Barbie doll wearing kneepads.

And this little gem:

This is a reference to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s take-down of Newsom:

“Governor Newsom, who strikes me as Patrick Bateman meets Sparkle Beach Ken, may be the only Californian who knows less about economics than Kamala Harris.” “He’s here this week with his billionaire sugar daddy, Alex Soros…” “My message to Governor Newsom is the Trump administration is coming to California. We are going to crack down on waste, fraud and abuse.”

We wondered if the photo is evidence that Alex Soros is Newsom’s backer.

As was the case with Kamala Harris’s disastrous presidential campaign, we recommend that Gavin Newsom just keep talking, unburdened by what has been.

  1. Prone to profanity. Vulgarity and chronic invective, it’s great Newsom wasn’t allowed to bore everybody. And why would he even want to? He’s dying of global warming soon anyway.

    1. Ha ha, yes —- soon a victim of global warming anyway so why doesn’t he just take a break and review his action-packed life?
Boo hoo hoo, Poor Gavin. Cut from the spotlight again, just like at the DNC in 2024. You’d think the build-up of multiple humiliations would get to him, but NOOOO, he’s “invincible.” What a jerk.

        1. Unfortunately for him he was not on the stage with a speaking spot as he wished — he was relegated to the plebe pit as I recall

  2. Hey look – our butthurt boy-Governor is unhappy that he didn’t get an opportunity to spew his Trump Derangement Syndrome invective to his globalist alumni members…
Hey Newsom – GO HOME – your state is LITERALLY FALLING APART around you and people are HURTING and your global galavanting IS NOT HELPING your constituents…
We KNOW that you (and your globalist paymasters – nice pic with Soros, by the way – tools….) have Presidential aspirations, but sit down, fly back to Sacramento WHERE YOU BELONG and maybe actually DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE (and not just whine about how much you hate Trump) to help those who have have been HURT by your Democrat playbook….

  3. So did we the taxpayers fund his jaunt to Davos?
It was a sad and pathetic performance, Gov Gav!
How will Izzy spin this on social media?

  4. I live in California. Newsom has been the worst disaster for this state. I don’t understand how he keeps getting re-elected. Larry Elder would have been a better choice

  5. Katy Grimes is 100% correct to offer criticism of Newscum~! Anyone remotely awake knows this, not those Californians who watch “The News”~! Two questions; #1 why does The California Globe not show the photo as we try to post it’s great stories, replacing the connecting photo with the California Globe’s moniker 100% of the time~? This slows down folks reading their stories.
Question number 2, why did Katy Grimes, (great author), block me from her FaceBook page (& all communications) after I strongly criticized Hugh Hewitt for his blunt support for Biden’s “Win” in the 2020 stolen election~?
