Gov. Newsom Pushing Covid Vax in California’s ‘Vaccines for All’ Guidelines

California Governor Gavin Newsom is still pushing the Covid vaccine. Even after Newsom’s three years of Covid lockdowns, mandatory masking, social distancing and mandatory Covid vaccines, Newsom, three Western States Governors, and the California Department of Public Health claim “Following Trump’s politicization of CDC, West Coast states issue unified vaccine recommendations — California breaks from future federal guidance with new law.”

These Democrat tyrants have formed a weird alliance to push back against the very necessary reforms made by real doctors and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., to dismantle the Big Pharma control of the CDC, HHS and FDA.

Governor Newsom signed AB 144, an omnibus health trailer bill authorizing California to disregard the Center for Disease Control’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, and instead base future immunization guidance on “credible, independent medical organizations,” including but not limited to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), according to bill analysis.

All of these “credible” independent medical organizations announced their opposition to the CDC’s new guidelines.

In May, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced he would remove the CDC’s recommendation for healthy children and healthy pregnant women to get vaccinated for COVID-19. “I couldn’t be more pleased to announce that, as of today, the COVID vaccine for healthy children and healthy pregnant women has been removed from the CDC’s recommended immunization schedule,” Kennedy said in a video on X.

In the video Secretary Kennedy appeared with National Institutes of Health Director Jay Bhattacharya M.D., PhD, and Food and Drug Administration Director Marty Makary M.D., M.P.H. “There’s no evidence healthy kids need it, and most countries have stopped recommending it for children,” Dr. Makary  said.

The governors of California, Oregon and Washington are doubling down on stupid and dangerous – they are going to continue pushing the covid vaccine on your kids, and have created a three-state “health” alliance to do this.

California Governor Gavin Newsom, Washington Governor Bob Ferguson, and Oregon Governor Tina Kotek announced they will launch a new “West Coast Health Alliance “to ensure residents remain protected by science, not politics.”

The governors of California, Oregon and Washington notoriously were the worst tyrants during Covid, locking down their states, and imposing the most draconian mandates – mandatory masks, vaccines, mass job loss, closed schools, and coercing (forcing) children and employees to take the Covid vaccine to “get back to normal.”

Their Trump derangement syndrome is showing.

Here is what Gov. Newsom’s plan via budget legislation allows:

Revises statewide requirements and guidance related to the provision of immunizations and the coverage and delivery of various preventive health care services, including the following:

a. Establishes baseline recommendations for preventive services, items, and immunizations recommended, as of January 1, 2025, by the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

b. Authorizes the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to modify or supplement the baseline recommendations, taking into consideration guidance and recommendations from additional medical and scientific organizations, including, but not limited to, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).

c. Authorizes CDPH to incorporate subsequent evidence based recommendations from USPSTF, ACIP, or HRSA, to the extent the department determines them to promote public health.

d. Requires CDPH to publish the baseline recommendations, including any modification or supplement, and that any updates, modifications, or supplements are deemed effective on the date of publication.

e. Replaces references to USPSTF, ACIP, or HRSA for coverage preventive services and items, and for the administration of vaccines by various health professionals and other personnel and entities, with references to these federal recommendations as they existed on January 1, 2025, as modified or supplemented by CDPH pursuant to its authority under the baseline recommendations.

Notably, bill analysis also states that “Until January 1, 2030, extends protection of liability for any injury caused by an act or omission in prescribing, dispensing, ordering, furnishing, or in the administration of vaccines or other immunizing agents if required by state law or administered in accordance with guidance from CDPH according to its baseline recommendations, unless the act or omission constitutes willful misconduct or gross negligence.”

How is it even legal for the state of California to extend liability to vaccine manufacturers?

Currently, California’s State Public Health Director Dr. Erica Pan, states that everyone aged six months and older should receive COVID-19 vaccines, “with an emphasis on protecting higher-risk individuals, such as infants and toddlers, pregnant persons and others with risks for serious disease.” (Pregnant persons).

Except doctors reported then and now that children are not Covid vectors COVID-19 super spreaders, according to study after study.

Gov. Newsom says, “Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has aggressively weaponized the CDC by purging its vaccine advisory committee, firing all 17 members and replacing them with cherry-picked appointees who include vaccine skeptics.”

However, the facts are that “the Biden administration appointed all of the 17 sitting ACIP members. Thirteen of them were appointed in 2024. These appointments would have prevented the current administration from choosing a majority of the committee until 2028. The prior administration made a concerted effort to lock in public health ideology and limit the incoming administration’s ability to take the proper actions to restore public trust in vaccines.”

“A clean sweep is necessary to reestablish public confidence in vaccine science,” Kennedy said. “ACIP’s new members will prioritize public health and evidence-based medicine. The Committee will no longer function as a rubber stamp for industry profit-taking agendas.”

Gov. Newsom claims Secretary Kennedy “forced out the CDC director, triggered high-level and career-staff resignations, and scheduled expedited meetings where this reshaped panel will vote on critical recommendations that guide national vaccine policy and insurance coverage.” However, there is evidence that the now former CDC Director Susan Monarez had ties with pharmaceutical companies, as did many employees of the CDC.

“The U.S. is home to 4.2% of the world’s population yet we had nearly 20% of the COVID deaths,” Kennedy said. “The people at CDC who oversaw that process, who put masks on our children, who closed our schools, are the people who will be leaving.”

Secretary Kennedy said at NIH they are “Restoring Science & Research: Expanding NIH and agency research into chronic disease prevention, nutrition and metabolic health, food quality, environmental exposures, autism, gut microbiome, precision agriculture, rural and tribal health, vaccine injury, and mental health.”

“For too long health care has used a reactive approach to chronic diseases,” FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary said. “I am pleased to support the findings of the MAHA commission and to promote a more proactive approach, tackling root causes undermining the health and happiness of American children.”

“The MAHA Report provides a blueprint for the entire government to focus on solving the chronic disease crisis facing American children,” NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya said. “We must make America healthy again so our children live longer and healthier lives than we will.”

Our​​ Stance on Vaccines

Vaccines are safe, work well and are the best way to protect against respiratory viruses, including COVID-19, the flu, and RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus). 

CDPH even recommends:

[1] COVID-19 vaccine is available for persons 6 months and older.

[2] Protect infants with either prenatal RSV vaccine or infant dose of nirsevimab or clesrovimab.​

Remember, in California, state employees and legislative staffers were required to be vaccinated with the COVID vaccine, even though Assembly members and Senators were not. As the Globe asked, If the COVID vaccine is really about saving lives, why wasn’t the mandate evenly applied?

At this rate, why don’t all 50 states determine their own vaccine mandates and schedules?
