Operation New Dawn Success Due To Agencies Working Together

This was a sweeping operation in Chicago that brought together 11 different federal agencies to execute 305 arrests and recover 24 children

I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July. It’s a fundamental celebration of America, and one that truly brings together friends and family to be thankful what we have been given.

And with that, I want pesky Democrats to pay attention to something. They’ve been sitting here picking away at government agencies like the Department of Justice and ICE, and, for that matter, also taking away benefits from local police departments for use elsewhere.

But that hasn’t stopped justice from being served.

One operation in particular I want to talk about is Operation New Dawn, which was reported on right before the weekend. And what’s more, the whole thing took place right under the nose of Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, who insisted his state was a place of “low crime.” Oh, it’s time to prove him wrong. Big time.

United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, Andrew S. Boutros, discussed the operation in the press release. It’s an operation that actually begin within the state starting at the beginning of the summer season, May 1st. With it, FBI Director Kash Patel explains:

“This was a sweeping operation in Chicago that brought together 11 different federal agencies across the government who worked together to execute 305 arrests and recover 24 children – many of whom had been reported kidnapped or missing – as well as charging (those arrested) with robbery, kidnapping, drug trafficking, child exploitation and more.”

As part of this operation, a great deal of drugs and narcotics were also taken in as evidence.

This is absolutely phenomenal.

“As the name New Dawn embodies, it’s the dawn of a new federal law enforcement era when it comes to combating crime in the Northern District of Illinois and being responsive to the people of the District, who want to be and feel safe,” Boutros noted in a statement.

He continued, “During Operation New Dawn, federal law enforcement engaged in rapid, targeted and responsive interventions that interrupted violence in real time. Our law enforcement goal was singular: to tackle the scourge of violence that has gripped this incredible American city for too long.”

And…you may note how Gov. Pritzker hasn’t said anything on the matter. More than likely, he’s fuming that Boutros, working with these agencies, got more done with battling the criminal element than Pritzker could even fathom.

See, that’s the problem with a lot of these Democratic leaders. They like to talk a big game, and they like to say things that they know their followers are going to like. But, as we all know, the action is in the doing. In making sure the criminals are arrested. In making sure innocent people – particularly children – are found safe. In making sure the violence is actually minimized instead of simply saying it’s minimized – something Pritzker sure liked doing.

All I can hope, at this point, is that we see more operations like this. I can think of a handful of cities that could use this kind of operation, where agencies come together and work in unison – alongside local law enforcement – to get the job done.

Christopher Amon, Special Agent in Charge of the ATF Chicago Field Division, really nailed it on the head with this comment – “Law enforcement has always been, and always will be a team sport.”

One more time for the Democrats in the back who continue to try and make rules to divide the efforts of ICE agents from local law enforcement.

It’s time to just break down these silly barriers and simply let the agencies do their thing. They’re making up for the disastrous errors brought in by the Biden administration, and they’ve got the full backing of President Trump – and a newly granted surplus of funds – to get the job done.

Now…will leaders like Pritzker listen? Nah, they’ll likely continue to go off on their rant and say how ICE is a danger or how police can’t be trusted or what have you. Again, though, the proof is in the doing, and Operation New Dawn is that proof. And that’s something Pritzker can’t wipe away, no matter how many times he tries.

I’m proud of these agencies and law enforcement, and will continue pushing my hardest for them to get the job done. Happy Fourth of July, indeed!
