The California Rifle and Pistol Association rolled out a long list of political endorsements today. The nonprofit organization said “CRPA is proud to endorse these outstanding candidates for the state legislature who support the Second Amendment.”
Some of the politicians listed in the endorsement included Senators Janet Nguyen (R-Midway), Patricia Bates (R-Laguna Niguel), Assemblymen Adam Gray (D-Merced) and candidates Ali Mazarei (R-Riverside) and Bill Essayli (R-Riverside).
Founded in 1875 CRPA works to “defend the civil and constitutional rights of individuals to choose to responsibly own and use firearms.” CRPA is also the official state association of the National Rifle Association (NRA), and works together with the NRA in California. But CRPA is controlled by its own independent Board of Directors.
The organization did not disclose how much money or what resources are being given to each Second Amendment supporter.
