UC Berkeley TPUSA Event Violently Attacked By Antifa, Far-Left Protestors
The ‘largely peaceful’ protestors were armed with glass bottles, fireworks and tear gas to use against students and attendees

This article has been updated with breaking news related to the identity of the violent Muslim agitator who bloodied a TPUSA event attendee.
On Monday, a coordinated group of violent left-wing activists, including Antifa, assaulted conservatives attending a Turning Point USA event at University of California Berkeley. This was the final campus event of TPUSA’s national “American Comeback” tour. TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk was supposed to attend this event but was murdered by a left-wing assassin in September at a campus event at Utah Valley College.
While chanting “f-ck your dead homie,” referring to the left-wing assassination of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk, a few officers detained a bloodied conservative supporter in a TPUSA “Freedom” t-shirt and an violent agitator who has yet to be identified. The agitator tried his best to avoid the cameras and was subsequently arrested, along with three other individuals, including the bloodied victim shown above.

A communist student organization was also present to stoke chaos while trying to “drown fascism.”

According to KTVU:
UC Berkeley Assistant Vice Chancellor Dan Mogulof told Fox News Digital that the university was aware of the planned protest.
“The protest in question is being organized by a group that has no affiliation with the university,” Mogulof said. “It is not one of our 1,000+ Registered Student Organizations. The university has been absolutely clear: Our student organizations have every right to invite whoever they wish to events on campus. Together with our police force we will, as always, take whatever measures are deemed necessary to have a safe and successful event.”
Mogulof said the protest appeared to be organized by a group called Students Organizing for Liberation, which is not a registered student organization. However, some other groups listed on the protest flyer are recognized campus groups and therefore subject to the Student Code of Conduct.
He added that the university was treating the Turning Point USA event like any other major campus event while upholding First Amendment rights.
“The campus fully supports the rights and ability of every single student organization to invite whatever speakers they wish, regardless of their beliefs or perspectives,” said Mogulof.
In 2017, Attorney Harmeet Dhillon led a successful civil lawsuit against UC Berkeley for similar, violent protests against conservative speakers. Now the U.S. assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, Dhillon has announced that the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice will open an investigation.

To no one’s surprise, POLITICO recycled the tired “largely peaceful protests” in their reporting: “The night of speeches and Q&A, which drew 900 attendees and at least 150 angry but largely peaceful protesters.” According to TPUSA Spokesman Andrew Kolvet, the “largely peaceful” protestors came armed with tear gas, firework, and glass bottles to use against students and attendees.

Despite POLITICO’s bias, the ongoing violence by leftist student organizations and Antifa since Charlie Kirk’s assassination has not quelled since Antifa was designated as a domestic terrorist organization by the Trump administration. As Layla, a Berkeley student, explains above: “”It’s not safe anymore to walk around Berkeley as a conservative, it’s a very dangerous place. Antifa is prevelant. I see by the pictures that protestors are allowed to wear masks to disguise their identity, but California demands that Law Enforcement is not allowed t do same.
