With Move to Marin, Gavin and First Partner Newsom’s Grifted Home Back in the News

‘This is a man whose intentions are the exaltation of himself and the furtherance of his own power’

Happy Thanksgiving, California! Gov. Gavin Newsom. (Photo: gov.ca YouTube channel)

California Governor Gavin Newsom, the First Partner and four children will officially be moving back to Marin County, with the governor dividing time between Sacramento and Marin. His office said M/M Newsom want their children to have continuity in their education… starting with a $60,000 per year high school for their oldest daughter in Marin in the fall.

The governor’s office said:

“To ensure continuity in their children’s education, the family will split their time between Sacramento and Marin heading into the coming academic year,” said Governor’s office on Monday. “The family’s children are transitioning grade levels, including to high school this fall. The Governor and First Partner want to create continuity in their children’s education, recognizing the Governor’s term ends in January 2027.”

Most decent, sound people do not begrudge a family making necessary lifestyle adjustments with growing children. However, the people are clearly more gracious than Gavin Newsom and the First Partner.

Remember, this was the governor who locked down California’s pre-school, elementary, middle school, high school and college students during the Covid flu while his children continued attending Sacramento’s very fine Country Day private school… while he and the First Partner attended chi-chi diners in Napa, vacationed in Cabo San Lucas and Costa Rica, and traveled to Montana to visit the First Partner’s family.

Since the Newsoms didn’t buy their 12,000-square-foot $3.7 million in Fair Oaks (Sacramento), they probably have a little left over from the $5.9 million sale of their Marin home.

Here are the details on the Newsom’s real estate deals as Jen Van Laar reported at Redstate:

An LLC registered to Newsom’s cousin, biz partner, and Co-President of PlumpJack, Jeremy Scherer, paid cash for the Fair Oaks estate in December 2018.

In Oct 2019 the LLC gifted the home to the Newsoms free and clear, claiming Newsom was a member of the LLC to avoid a $4,000 Transfer Tax.

In January 2020 the Newsoms received $2.7 million tax-free when they obtained a cash-out refinance.

Newsom’s financial disclosure forms don’t mention the LLC or the gifts, which far exceed the $500 limit…

Stunning that this was done under the nose of California’s Fair Political Practices Commission, who regularly investigate and charge politicians for ethics and campaign violations, and whose mission says it “regulates campaign financing, conflicts of interest, lobbying, and governmental ethics. The Commission’s objectives are to ensure that public officials act in a fair and unbiased manner in the governmental decision-making process, to promote transparency in government, and to foster public trust in the political system.”

Is it any wonder Newsom is under such criticism for running in elite circles?

As Bruce Bawer wrote at Frontpage Mag about the new Gavin Newsom biography, Newsom Unleashed: The Progressive Lust for Unbridled Power:

Gardey Holmes’s cogent and comprehensive book makes eminently clear – and as she herself puts it in her concluding pages – “We should be very wary of a Newsom presidency. This is not a man whose intentions are the betterment of the country. This is a man whose intentions are the exaltation of himself and the furtherance of his own power. And, worst of all, his well-established pattern for seeking such exaltation and power is the advancement of extreme left-wing policies.”

In short, as this book vividly and quite unsettlingly demonstrates, Gavin Newsom makes even the unsavory likes of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama look like rank amateurs when it comes to sheer egotism, megalomania, and vaingloriousness. Every American who cares about the fate of his country should pray that this oily narcissist’s dreams of national power never come to fruition.

As the Globe reported in 2020 in the midst of the Covid flu:

“America’s political elite who deem themselves royalty, and live accordingly, are the same politicians who have been keeping their citizens in states under total lockdown for the purpose of destroying the economy, they mandate the wearing of face masks which they themselves do not wear, they prohibit travel to second homes and family cabins while traveling themselves, are keeping schools locked down, attend funerals while our dead cannot be mourned in a service, and they are thwarting the use of hydroxychloroquine – a known prophylaxis (prevention) to coronavirus, and a successful cure… all to try to force President Donald Trump out of office one way or another.”

The Newsoms have tax delinquencies and unreported income. Let that linger.

  1. It’s a very good thing, if we have to live under the Newsoms, that this series of outrages about our Worst Governor Ever is back in the news. We need to be refreshed on it. Readers here are familiar with Katy Grimes coverage of these outrages, and a rare series of reports they have been, too. As you know.

But also take some time to go over Jen Van Laar’s 2020 Red State report with a fine tooth comb and familiarize yourself with it in addition to Katy’s coverage. Because, you know, you want to be able to follow what HAS TO BE the drama to come, if there is any justice in this world, don’t you? You might even want to also pick up a copy of the new Gavin Newsom biography (who knew?) Newsom Unleashed: The Progressive Lust for Unbridled Power by Gardey Holmes. Looks like page-turning summer beach reading to me!

Katy Grimes: “The Newsoms have tax delinquencies and unreported income. Let that linger.”
That thought is lingering, all right, and will continue to linger, until we finally get some answers from this slithery, slimy governor of ours. And how about maybe we’ll see some consequences, too? The kinds of consequences that are applied to EVERY OTHER PERSON IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, except for you-know-who-Newsom? And Hello? Gavin? That is NOT a point of honor.

    1. Katy Grimes: “The Newsoms have tax delinquencies and unreported income. Let that linger.”

Tax fraud is apparently quite common among the elite in Marin County. My sister-in-law has a friend employed by a writer in Marin. The friend gets paid a $7000/month salary under the table in cash. No disability or unemployment tax collected? Grifters of a feather fly together.

  2. Newsom like operatives entrenched, confident and throwing down the gauntlet thus ordering our contrition.

He and his fellow operatives have amassed all the control they could ever wanted and wished for by virtue the recent CA Supreme Court tax initiative ruling. Read Macheli’s comments posted here 6-22; We’re screwed; now we’ll be bled to literal death. Our death sentence was formally proclaimed.

  3. The “First Partner” looks as smug and self-righteous as the “oily narcissist” Governor in this picture…
(Bet Weinstein enjoyed some of her “pie” when she needed to get a head in the entertainment industry…)
They’re both nauseating individuals, and this expose on their financial chicanery is unsurprising for two puffed-up megalomaniacs….

  4. No doubt hairgel Hitler Newsom and his Weinstein trollop wife (why does she always cock her head to one side in photos like a puzzled poodle?) will be moving into a lavish walled estate with scads of hired help and 24/7 security that economically struggling Californians could only dream of? The Newsom’s will be living the high life in Marin County free of the middle class and poor riffraff thanks to Marin County being the ONLY county in California that has a moratorium on affordable housing building requirements while the hypocritical Newsom regime sues cities like Huntington Beach for failing to provide enough affordable housing.

    1. Huntington Beach profiled for destruction.
The city’s push back in response to the first covid shutdown and it’s opposition to Newsom’s mandates sealed the fate of Huntington Beach.

  5. There’s no way this guy can win a national election. All the opposition needs to do is show clips of multiple cities in CA, including Sac. Simple voiceover: “Here is CA now, and the whole country after 4 years of Newsom”. Mic drop,

  6. Why did these two narcissistics, Newsom and his wife, even have kids if they aren’t going to be around to raise them? What despicable parents!
