Mainstream Media Covid Fear Porn is Back

‘From the outset, it was clear that the COVID-19 vaccines would NOT prevent infection by or transmission of SARS-CoV-2’

Mainstream Media content that deliberately and enticingly plays on people’s fears about disaster, disease and death is referred to as “Fear Porn,” according to the Urban Dictionary. Fear porn was used during the Covid pandemic – and it is being used again today.

This headline from the Orange County Register oozes fear porn:

California’s COVID booster rates are dismal as new shot debuts. More sickness ahead?

The subtitle is even worse:

Get the shot, epidemiologist advises: ‘You could be saving your own, or someone else’s, Nana’

In addition to being fear porn to scare you into complying, the epidemiologist surely must be getting something from Big Pharma for his ridiculous statement.

The same fear porn occurred with masking, even after the 2023 authoritative Cochrane study. In March 2023, the Globe reported:

the most recent and thoroughly extensive, comprehensive study is the Cochrane study, completed in February proved wearing a mask may make little to no difference in how many people caught a flu‐like illness/COVID‐like illness (9 studies; 276,917 people); and probably makes little or no difference in how many people have flu/COVID confirmed by a laboratory test (6 studies; 13,919 people).

The Cochrane study was widely accepted by many in medicine as the authoritative mask study.

Dr. Peter McCullough recently wrote about meeting with Professor Robert Clancy—a leading Australian clinical immunologist and a pioneer in the field of mucosal immunology, with 260 publications on the subject:

He explained precisely why COVID-19 shots—designed to induce the production of antibodies against the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 in the blood—cannot prevent infection by or transmission of the virus. The trouble, he explained, is that SARS-CoV-2 replicates rapidly in the nasal mucosa and transmits to other people days before it make it down into the gas exchange region of the lungs and encounters blood antibodies.

This, he further explained, had long been understood about respiratory viruses such as those that cause the common cold and influenza, and this same quality was quickly ascertained about SARS-CoV-2.

Thus, from the outset, it was clear that the COVID-19 vaccines would NOT prevent infection by or transmission of SARS-CoV-2. This reality completely nullified any rationale for vaccine mandates.

“Professor Clancy’s explication of this reality has stuck with me ever since,” Dr. McCullough said. “I was reminded of it yesterday when I friend sent me a link to a paper titled Rethinking next-generation vaccines for coronaviruses, influenzaviruses, and other respiratory viruses, by Morens, Taubenberger, and Fauci. As the authors point out:

non-systemic respiratory viruses such as influenza viruses, SARS-CoV-2, and RSV tend to have significantly shorter incubation periods and rapid courses of viral replication. They replicate predominantly in local mucosal tissue, without causing viremia, and do not significantly encounter the systemic immune system or the full force of adaptive immune responses, which take at least 5–7 days to mature, usually well after the peak of viral replication and onward transmission to others. ….

Taking all of these factors into account, it is not surprising that none of the predominantly mucosal respiratory viruses have ever been effectively controlled by vaccines. This observation raises a question of fundamental importance: if natural mucosal respiratory virus infections do not elicit complete and long-term protective immunity against reinfection, how can we expect vaccines, especially systemically administered non-replicating vaccines, to do so? This is a major challenge for future vaccine development, and overcoming it is critical as we work to develop “next-generation” vaccines.

“In other words, in November 2022, Dr. Fauci and his colleagues published a paper in which they demonstrated their clear understanding of what Professor Clancy told me at dinner three months earlier—namely, the COVID-19 vaccines cannot ‘effectively control’ SARS-CoV-2. The initial, much publicized claim that they would prevent infection and transmission was a bald-faced lie.”

This is just one honest physician’s experience. There are many more.

“Average daily COVID cases dropped from 479 at the beginning of August to 410 at the end of August, while the percentage of all deaths due to COVID jumped from 1.3% to 3.5% over that same time period, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (which continues to closely track the metrics while many other counties have eased up),” the OCR reported.

“We’re in terra incognita here,” Noymer said after poring over graphs of latest trends. “During the Delta surge — remember the Delta surge? — it was clear COVID was going hell-for-leather. Now we get these surges, and it’s less predictable.”

The reporter asks, “Will there be rebound infections now that schools are open and Labor Day gatherings are behind us? Will the new COVID boosters be embraced before the post-Thanksgiving spikes, despite a distinctly unenthusiastic populace?”

Then the reporter complains, “A paltry 15.3% of Californians are up-to-date on their COVID boosters — meaning they got last fall’s shot — and it’s worse in Orange and Los Angeles counties (both 14.3%), worse still in Riverside County (9.1%) and grim in San Bernardino County (7.9%).”

Despite that the latest COVID variants are much more contagious than their predecessors, though less likely to cause severe illness, the OCR pushes more fear porn.

“Unlike 2020 and some extent 2021, most people have had a COVID vaccine by now,” UCLA Epidemiologist Noymer said. “For the people who haven’t had a vaccine, or who haven’t taken boosting seriously, most of them have had at least one COVID infection by now.”

And predictably they go to the CDC: “Vaccine protection wanes over time, so it’s important to stay up to date, the CDC says. Everyone aged 6 months and older should get this year’s vaccine, which helps protect against severe disease, hospitalization and death…” –  despite “from the outset, it was clear that the COVID-19 vaccines would NOT prevent infection by or transmission of SARS-CoV-2.”

Or that Dr. Fauci concluded in 2022, “none of the predominantly mucosal respiratory viruses have ever been effectively controlled by vaccines.”

and

“if natural mucosal respiratory virus infections do not elicit complete and long-term protective immunity against reinfection, how can we expect vaccines, especially systemically administered non-replicating vaccines, to do so?”

We are back at fear porn: Media content that deliberately and enticingly plays on people’s fears about disaster, disease and death.

And as Steve Kirsch reported after exhaustive study, “56% of people who got the COVID shot are or were vaccine injured in some way, a new Rasmussen poll shows. 42% want to sue, but only 75% got vaccinated, so that’s a 56% injury rate which is unprecedented for a vaccine.”

Not only do the covid vaccines NOT prevent infection by or transmission of SARS-CoV-2, the injury rate is off the charts. But the CDC says “everyone aged 6 months and older should get this year’s vaccine, which helps protect against severe disease, hospitalization and death…”

  1. I did not vax, I did not mask, I did not social distance, and I did not get the dread covid disease. I wash my hands, during cold season I stay out of places where lots of people gather, I eat healthy food, I exercise, and get plenty of sunshine. Healthy habits and common sense keep the immune system in good working order.

  2. Gee, what a surprise. The cartoonish jackbooted control freaks have decided not to APOLOGIZE as they should have for the destruction they have wrought in California and elsewhere, but instead are pulling out of the attic the tired old alarmist crap, and they don’t even have the courtesy to disguise it by changing a thing. They said, “hmmm, I think the sheep will go along AGAIN, and then EVERYONE will have to go along. Our beautiful wickedness will shut the whole thing down again. Ah ha HAH!”
Good luck, because except for the teensy-weensiest percentage, I don’t think it will work this time. Not like it did the last time! Count on it.
Or….. there is always the possibility that Round 2 of the Covid Fear Porn Campaign will have more of an effect on the go-along robot union types you recruited to fill out the piles of fake ballots in the boiler rooms and THEY will get the vapors from anxiety and too-tight masks at the worst possible time.

      1. A living nightmare. Those laughing have blood on their hands.
Imagine those government employees will end up with nice government pensions and be rewarded with jobs in big pharma!

        1. These reprobates will all be voting for Harris/Walz of course. If Trump/Vance win, they need to clear out their office spaces on Day One because RFK Jr. will be cleaning house at the FDA.

  3. My wife of 51 years and myself went to a cramped wedding the Saturday before Labor Day. We both got Covid on Labor Day and were able to start taking Paxlovid immediately. I am fully vaxed, my wife is not. We both got over Covid by the following Saturday. There was no difference in the degree of sickness. Can someone tell me why I bother getting the boosters? I am sick on my back for one day after taking a booster shot.

  4. Never got the vaccine, and never got Covid. Meanwhile I know loads of vaccinated people who got Covid, many more than once.

Meanwhile Democrat President Biden signed an Executive Order that anyone working for a company with more than 100 people who didn’t get vaccinated was not allowed to work. Democrat Gov. Newsom signed an Executive Order requiring school children to have Covid Vaccinations, even though kids don’t get Covid symptoms.

“California Becomes First State in Nation to Announce COVID-19 Vaccine Requirements for Schools
After implementing first-in-the-nation school masking and staff vaccination measures, California becomes the first state to announce plans to require student vaccinations – adding the COVID-19 vaccine to list of vaccinations required for school, such as the vaccines for measles, mumps, and rubella

Students will be required to be vaccinated for in person learning starting the term following FDA full approval of the vaccine for their grade span (7-12 and K-6).”
