The Inflection Point: California Medicine is Communized

Sacramento is the epicenter of modern wayward healthcare in the USA

By Patrick Wagner, MD, September 30, 2024 3:30 am

Wouldn’t you agree that all the people of America should want to stop fighting and move forward in unity and peace when it comes to medical care, or our financial distresses, or crime, or the border, or nuclear war?    Why can’t we heal our differences and start liking each other again? These conflicts are real and dangerous, the latest a second assassination attempt on a legitimate presidential candidate and a mainstream media running wild.

After all, the USA is the ultimate and only establishment of freedom in world history and is made up of millions of moving parts, no matter how small, but each very important. That means you and me! And we Americans are the envy of the world when we are functioning as a unit. But when we are fighting each other we are the joke of the world and even our own neighborhoods. When we get sick, we make the rest of our countrymen sick.

What is the antidote? The truth! You and I and every other hopefully friend-seeking, unity-seeking representative of freedom in America have a responsibility to make it happen. We can learn the truth and live the truth, so we need to unify and make those great decisions and get on with a focused pursuit of freedom.

As a California physician, I am quite sure that a very wide swath of Californians consider doctors as negligent, complacent, and outright dangerous cowards. “…The last concern on the minds of these turncoat doctors is our present and future health and welfare!”

I understand their concern. And it is likely your concern to one degree or another.

Nevertheless, it is time to brace yourself. We are in the last leg of a race, the fourth quarter of a football game for freedom for ourselves and our posterity. The stakes are high, as these are very serious times. Nobody is going to be laughing at the finish line (at the running out of the clock) on November 5, 2024.

My prognosis as a physician is that you will become calm, peaceful, and thankful, and you will begin healing nicely, if you do the right thing. Please be encouraged, because all of this is out of your and my control, yet under Perfect Control.

The time for mind-numbing and foolish propaganda is ending, thanks to freedom of the press (Thank you California Globe!) for all those discouraged, unsuspecting, lulled, and fully naïve precious people of California and America. Now we have an opportunity to soak up the truth and develop crystal clear discernment. What a weapon that is.

So, let’s talk about that dangerous physician and your future. Sacramento is the epicenter of modern wayward healthcare in the USA. “Managed healthcare” had its beginnings right here in Sacramento in the hospitals I worked in, and  it metastasized to L.A. and San Francisco and the rest of the nation from here. Now we have Newsom and Kamala bidding for the White House! Sacramento ought to be ashamed of herself. Do not make the mistake of thinking medicine is not already “communized,” because it flatly is. And do not make the mistake of assuming that communized medicine is irreversible, because it flatly is.

Why is California medicine communized? It’s because all your doctors are owned and operated by communists. And whose fault is that? It’s your fault and it’s my fault. It’s true. Our “democratic” elections put communists into our elected offices who have taken advantage of the opportunity to exercise unrestrained, tyrannical, random, arbitrary power and turned you and I into their slaves. And you and I watched it happen. The truth hurts, but we’ve got to face it head on with courage.

Your absentee doctors are wards of the state. They have been weaponized by the developing communist healthcare system to be your enemy. Do not doubt me, because I am living proof of having escaped that stronghold.  Doctors are immoral, amoral robots. Robots don’t care. They simply follow instructions. And they are now instructed to be disablers. They disable otherwise able-minded and able-bodied citizens and change them into sick, lazy, government dependent blobs without economic initiative, who dishonor good old productive and rewarding hard work. DEI is in high gear. Consider your assets. Consider your freedom. Where are all the jobs?  Why are our businesses closing?

The term “useful idiots” was apparently coined from the Cold War wherein non-communists were manipulated by propaganda and psychological control. Mainstream media has had a lot to do with it. Doctors and patients have lost touch, and we have all become useful idiots.

Trump said it perfectly at the debate on 9/10/24. The communists asked him why he didn’t favor Obamacare. And when he said, “It costs too much, it’s low quality and we can do better” they cackled …” What’s your plan, cuz we have a plan”?

Trump’s not going to sell us out and tell the enemy what we’re up to. That’s not his style. Why would you tell the enemy what you are in the process of doing? That’s a loser strategy. No, Trump said we’ve got some concepts.  Harris cackled again… “Concepts? It takes more than concepts when it comes to healthcare.”

I think that you will agree with me that Harris, Clinton, Pelosi, Schumer, Obama, Brown, B. Sanders, Newsom, McCain, Cheney, monopolistic big business (health insurance companies, pharma, medical instrument and device makers like CT and MRI scanners, mainstream media, and every other challenger  who wants to take control over your life and own you, or worse delete you), are burning out. Their pitch is dying. It was a lousy idea, destined not to win but ultimately to die out. It is much, much too expensive.

Do you not strongly disagree with Kamala’s supposition that it takes more than concepts when it comes to healthcare? There is more than one way to skin a cat. Concepts lead to creativity and the resultant action to the completion of alternate strategies. Strategies that work!

Veterinary medicine is a great case in point. Now I am not telling you that I understand the hardship of veterinarians, but I recognize the commitment of those who become veterinarians. And being a human doctor, I struggle with the emotions of human beings, which is a distinct challenge that veterinarians do not suffer. And why would that be? It’s because God created animals as servants to humans.

But there is yet another challenge that I suffer, which veterinarians don’t suffer, and that is payment for services rendered by third party payors.  There is no such thing as healthcare insurance in the world of veterinary medicine, except for maybe big-time racehorses, etc. And I am shouting out to you as loud as I can, via freedom of speech and the press, and exclaiming to you that those third-party payors defined above are ripping you and I off. They are stealing our means of exchange to maximize their power. They are stealing me from you, and you from me! They are all addicted to power, and power means money! They become tolerant, and they need more and more. You get less and less medical treatment and more and more pain and suffering and  I get less and less economic initiative and more and more burned out and destitute.

As a surgeon, I used to treat needle stick infected drug addicts right from the Sacramento streets, everything from draining an abscess, to a shoulder girdle amputation, to the addict dying on my operating table from necrotizing fasciitis and septic shock.   Power addiction ultimately ends in death.  I always warned them to change their ways if they survived, but we surgeons used to say that they would be coming back.

So now back to veterinarians (“vets”). What happens when your lovely  pooch gets sick? You take her to the vet. The vet treats, you pay, and the two of you walk away, with or without your pet. That is simple and fair business. And if there is a pet hospital stay, you pay. Do you think your vet is ripping you off? No. Do you think your vet cares? Of course you do. And you also consider your vet an honest  trustworthy pro, or next time you will seek out an alternate vet, because you have the freedom to choose your vet.  That makes vets highly competitive, and it brings prices down, down, down. Low cost, high and ethical quality is the result. And your vets are very satisfied, being paid to do the job they love to do. It doesn’t get any better than that. I’ve been there and done that, not with dogs and cats, but with humans.

There is a concept called free enterprise medicine, also known as capitalism medicine. It mimics veterinary medicine to a T, and it works well. Human physicians who become free to care again, to exercise their hard-earned skill and judgment again, who are allowed to express their prior experience again, who build a reputation of being kind and gentle and patient and humble again, and trustworthy again, and forgiving again, and glad and cheerful again, and competitive again, and independent again…are awaiting the opportunity to serve you in that capacity.

Why would you continue to take your dog or cat to a veterinary clinic and yet not allow yourself or your family the same privilege? Cash is king, but the government “medical industrial complex” is trying to convince you that it isn’t! From personal experience in this arena, I can tell you with out-and-out certainty that cash is king, and cash will fix everything related to medical economics. Health insurance is counterfeit, and your hard-earned dollars are going straight into Nancy Pelosi’s, John Boehner’s, Anthony Fauci’s, and all the rats included in the medical industrial complex’s bank accounts! It is  true.

Here’s the simple formula for “Concepts” as Kamala put it:

  1. Pay your doctor in full, just like your veterinarian (No health insurance).
  2. No third-party payors, except for a catastrophic medical insurance policy, the kind we used to have in California for fire insurance until the government got involved and morphed it into “The Fair Plan.”  Such a plan used to pay claims very nicely, low premiums, zero deductibles.
  3. Establishment of price for services rendered between doctors and patients. Price according to what the local market will bear, worked out between the doctor and patient.
  4. Establishment of individual tax exempt personal medical savings accounts, with compounding interest. Put as much of your income into these accounts as you wish.
  5. Establish section 2 of the first amendment of the US Constitution, to read…  “Section 2. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of medicine, or prohibiting  the free exercise thereof”.    By doing so, medicine will become tax exempt exactly like religious groups, with 501c3 status.  Medicine is sacrosanct when practiced according to the Hippocratic Oath, so why not?  Is it silly to conduct medical economics the way we conduct religious economics?
  6. Keep the message of “One Nation Under God” alive and well in the minds of Christians and let all the churches know that America needs their vote. Protect and expand our faith in God. And remember that the civic duty or being an informed American citizen and voting is one of the most precious rights endowed upon us by God. Please do not waiver it. Share our message with the churches.

To introduce these “concepts” into practice is to fix medicine. Health insurance is an evil and corrupt scam, and it always has been. Our nation is flat broke and has been lulled into laziness by all of us useful idiots and via the sweet talk of evil swindlers. Those in power are out of options, as you can’t get blood out of a turnip. Nobody is willing to work unless you can make a living and prosper. But everybody is anxious to work if given the opportunity. Just think of all the jobs out there when we let the free market take off, like a fully loaded 747 into the sunset! No more student debt! Buy that house, build equity, create a family, live the American dream! I’m a senior (old guy), and I’m talking to the rest of you seniors just as sincerely as I am talking to my youngest kid, now 34 years old, and his older brother and sister.

So let us create a path for our future and put government and monopoly back in the box and develop an amazing and improved free enterprise economic system, and then watch our national debt drop to zero. Say hello to your neighbor, start going to the store again when you buy your clothes and trying them on. Get a little exercise. Go to church for Jesus’s sake.

I think what Trump might be saying is as follows: “Americans, tear down that polarizing wall that separates us in our homeland, and build that wall that keeps us the greatest, most exceptional country on planet earth! With God’s guidance, we are becoming free again.”

We Americans have hit an inflection point.  Don’t be an undecided voter and not vote.  Your country’s direction depends on you!  You are important.  “You can keep your doctor if you pay your doctor,” just like your vet. And you will have plenty of money left over for other expenditures and recreation if you do, economically free.

  1. While I do agree the government should have nothing to do with medical care decisions, like most businesses in California and elsewhere, medicine and veterinary services prices have escalated outside the realm of many people’s budgets, especially noticeable since the COVID lockdowns and on-going inflation. When inflation deflates, don’t expect those prices to go down with it.

I have read far too many posts recently where people have to choose between paying vet services or buying food. I personally know at least one person whose dog died due to their inability to pay for veterinary services, and even her long-time vet (among others) declining to accept payment plans. I have been told by two or three established dog rescues that in large numbers, dogs are being surrendered via being tied-up in public places (with desperate hope someone will adopt the dog) due to a family’s inability to afford food for their dog any longer, and their distress at surrendering the dog to animal control. If unable to buy dog food, the family is likely unable to afford vet care either.

Like human medical insurance, pet insurance is okay if you can pay the premiums and work with deductibles and uncovered procedures. No vets I called for our fourth rescue-adopted dog even offered discounts for their services despite the fact we adopted an abandoned dog found trapped in a fence and which we then adopted from a non-profit rescue.

A good bedside manner is a customer service/marketing skill intended to keep customers coming back. It is NOT indicative of someone “caring” about you or your family dog or cat. Medicine and veterinary medicine are operated on a business model, and no longer a service-industry with many, many medical professionals and staff in it exclusively for the money– self-evident in the pricing of its products. And that money incentivizes customer service and the appearance of caring or interest in one’s patients.

Cash payments for medical services reduce medical business model OVERHEAD since it costs money to process insurance claims AND insurers wield rules as filters for payments — conformation to those rules can also cost money. After all, insurance is a business, too, and investors or shareholders expect a return on their financial investments. It is to be expected that the physician-author has a certain view of article elements that differs from the real-time experiences of many of medicine’s customer base and public in general.

  2. This is an understandably timely and disturbing opinion piece. I agree with it almost entirely except for “God creating animals as servants to humans.” The ever-increasing horde of rats in the slough behind our house are hardly serving anyone but themselves. Furthermore, there is no doubt about who is serving whom when it comes to our house cats. But that’s ok. We lovingly serve them 24/7.

  3. Our “democratic” elections were stolen by Democrats with voter fraud and rigged voting machines that enabled communists (aka Democrats) to be installed into our elected offices. The question is how to pry them out of office? They will stop at nothing to keep their power and control?
