Arizona Dem Accuses Jared Kushner of ‘Brazen Corruption’ Over Foreign Investments

Trump advisor Alex Bruesewitz responds: ‘Another far-left whack job is promising to weaponize subpoena power to target her political opponents’

Arizona Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ3) accused Jared Kushner of profiting from foreign government relationships while maintaining influence in international affairs, calling the situation “open, naked, brazen corruption.”

“Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, is shaping US foreign policy while simultaneously soliciting billions from the same foreign governments he’s negotiating with,” Ansari wrote in an April 21 post on X. “It’s open, naked, brazen corruption. Kushner will come under oath and testify & accountability will not stop there.”

Ansari was elected in 2024 and sworn into office in January 2025 after previously serving on the Phoenix City Council from 2021 to 2024, where she was the first Iranian American elected to public office in Arizona.

Kushner, who served as a senior adviser to President Donald Trump during his first administration, founded the investment firm Affinity Partners in 2021 after leaving government.

According to reporting by The New York Times and Reuters, Affinity Partners received a $2 billion investment from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, despite initial objections from the fund’s advisers.

Subsequent reporting from Reuters indicates that the firm has expanded its funding base with additional capital from Gulf state investors, growing its assets under management into the billions.

According to Axios, the firm is now a 30-person operation and has participated in the pending $55 billion buyout of video game maker Electronic Arts, as well as an aborted bid from Paramount to buy Warner Bros. Discovery. Writing for the outlet, business editor Dan Primack suggested, “Kushner was mocked by some as a PE neophyte who raised his fund on the back of political connections — accusations that were emboldened by reports that Saudi PIF’s investment staff recommended against the commitment but were overruled by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. All of that may have been true, although now he can simply point and say: ‘Scoreboard.’”

Kushner has also remained active in international policy discussions involving the Middle East, in a non-official capacity, including participation in diplomatic conversations tied to the Trump administration’s foreign policy network, according to reporting by The Washington Post.

On April 17, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, announced an investigation into Kushner’s financial dealings, citing potential conflicts of interest involving foreign investment and political influence.

In a letter to Kushner one day prior, Raskin raised concerns about his efforts to secure investments from Gulf state-backed funds while maintaining a role in international diplomacy. Kushner has previously denied wrongdoing and has defended his business activities as separate from his prior government service.

On April 18, Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly responded to questions regarding Kushner’s diplomatic role, telling Kyiv Independent reporters, “Trump has a trusted family member in Kushner,” confirming that he serves as “an informal, unpaid advisor.”

Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz responded to Ansari’s comments on X, criticizing the accusation and defending Kushner.

“Shocker. Another far-left whack job is promising to weaponize subpoena power to target her political opponents,” Bruesewitz wrote. “Note that she doesn’t specify a single action Jared has taken that is not in the best interests of America. He’s volunteering at the request of the President. Given his track record, we’re lucky to have him doing so.”

  1. Arizona’s Democrat Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari was born in Seattle, Washington, to parents who immigrated to the United States after fleeing Iran following the Islamic Revolution. Wonder why they had to flee and how much loot did they take with them?

Ansari grew up wealthy and privileged in Scottsdale, Arizona where her father had opened up his successful finance company. She attended Chaparral High School which is one of the top schools in the state where she organized with the Arizona Democratic Party in support of Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign and worked with her mother to tutor Somali refugees. Ansari attended Stanford University, and received a bachelor’s degree in international relations. During college, Ansari interned for Nancy Pelosi. It sounds like she was groomed to be a deep-state Democrat political hack?

After graduation, she worked in the office of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and spent a year working on the Paris Agreement which is a legally binding international treaty that supposedly combats climate change by limiting global temperature rise. Thankfully President Trump initiated the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Agreement for the second time on January 20, 2025.

She completed master’s degree in international relations and politics from St. John’s College, Cambridge in 2016 and continued to be involved in promoting climate action, helping plan the Climate Action 2016 Summit, the Global Climate Action Summit, and the first U.N. Youth Climate Summit.

Despite no previous political experience, Ansari ran in the Phoenix City Council November 2020 election representing Phoenix’s 7th District. She came in second in the general election but she somehow won the runoff election (Democrat voter fraud?) and was installed into office in March 2021. While in office, she attended the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference with Phoenix mayor Kate Gallego, as well as the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference. How did this benefit her constituents in her Phoenix district?

Ansari resigned her City Council seat on March 28, 2024 to run for Arizona’s 3rd congressional district. Ansari raised almost $1.4 million for the campaign. Her campaign received its largest individual contributions from entities owned by her family along with support from various labor unions (including the Carpenters & Joiners Union and Teamsters), legal firms , and leftist political organizations like the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and EMILY’s List. Ansari was endorsed by the pro-Israel lobby group Democratic Majority for Israel (DMFI), and supported continued U.S. military aid to Israel “without additional conditions” along with the expansion of the Abraham Accords during her 2024 election campaign. Ansari won the primary by just 39 votes and somehow won the general election.

Ansari’s financial disclosures from October 2023 showed that she owns two properties in downtown Phoenix and made between $15,000 and $50,000 in 2023 by renting one. Ansari also estimated in the disclosure that her assets were worth between $2.5 million and $8.3 million.

Hmmm, now how did Democrat Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari gain so much wealth in such a short amount of time while being a Democrat politician?

    Open, naked, brazen corruption?
