In a rousing announcement Monday, Ric Grenell, former acting Director of National intelligence for President Donald Trump, just threw his support behind Max Ukropina for Congress in CA-47, and the importance of an “America First” patriot candidate.
Here we go, Orange County.

“So many people in OC have told me privately that they wish they hadn’t endorsed Scott Baugh a year ago because he’s run a terrible campaign,” Grenell said in a statement to the Globe. “He isn’t accessible and he certainly isn’t showing that he will be a Trump ally.”
“Max is the America First outsider. He hasn’t run for office before so you haven’t heard his name as much – and it’s because he’s been in the private sector creating jobs.”
“What’s clear to me is that Max is the one who can win and go to Washington to help Donald Trump. “
Ukropina, an Orange County business owner and fifth-generation Californian, is running for CA-47 as an outsider, and on the issues common sense voters are focused on: the Border, Education, cost-of-living and inflation, energy, and California’s escalating crime.
RollCall.com says the race in the open California district could be pivotal to House control.
California’s 47th Congressional District in Orange County has a long list of candidates vying for the Rep. Katie Porter congressional seat, with current Porter running for the U.S. Senate seat held by the late Dianne Feinstein.
As of last summer, the top two candidates for fundraising were former GOP Assemblyman Scott Baugh and State Senator Dave Min (D-Orange County). Min was arrested for a DUI in May, which political consultants say is a huge liability, and come election season, ads against him will be pretty stacked with that little incident, the Globe reported.
Democrats in the race say they were inspired to run for elected office when Donald Trump won the Presidential Election in 2016.
Ukropina is a businessman, who brings private sector experience with him.
“Ukropina is a successful businessman and fifth-generation Californian,” his campaign website says. “Spending most of his adult life working to get start-ups off the ground, Ukropina has dedicated his career to creating jobs and making the new economy work for middle class families.”
Grenell said it’s important to support America First patriots who put our beliefs first. “He’s been working hard creating jobs – he hasn’t been a career politician. Isn’t that the point of electing an outsider?”
Ukropina even went down to the San Diego Sector border last month with his team to learn about the crisis firsthand, and see how it’s impacting the State and Orange County. “The conclusion was unavoidable: the border crisis is far worse than they had imagined.”

Great news!
This is great news. I still am looking for a place where America First candidates can be vetted and also organized. I heard a radio ad for Vince Fong today up my way espousing America First principles. I dug a little deeper and when Newsom was first elected 2018, he filled/appointed 3,000 positions. If a new conservative governor doesn’t have a pool to immediately draw from holdovers stick around and will immediately start working against the policies. It sounds like it is time to get rid of the me first movement within the CAGOP and the party apparatus.
