New RNC Ad Mocks Gov. Newsom Over His Ridiculous Florida Ad

‘California: Where freedom means lockdowns for you, while I go to the places you can’t afford’

RNC/Win Red just released a new video ad mocking California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s ridiculous Florida ad, RedState reported. Newsom’s ad aired on July 4th in the Sunshine State.

This new ad is just delicious.

As the Globe reported, Newsom’s ad, directed at freedom-loving Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, claimed:

“Freedom is under attack in your state.”

“Republican leaders are banning books, making it harder to vote, restricting speech in the classroom, even criminalizing women and doctors.”

This was only slightly ironic as Gov. Newsom still refuses to relinquish his COVID State of Emergency order – it’s been more than 820 days since he became the first governor in the country in March of 2020 to lock down a state. We are still under his State of Emergency, although the only real emergency in California are the crises created by this governor and the Legislature: high crime, rampant homelessness, gas taxes, water shortage, energy crisis, wildfires… the list is long. Oh, but we are now the Abortion Sanctuary State – a designation I’m sure Californians relish.

Newsom tells Floridians: “Republican leaders are banning books, making it harder to vote, restricting speech in the classroom, even criminalizing women and doctors.”

RedState provided the text of the RNC/WinRed ad:

“It’s Independence Day, so let’s talk about what’s going on in America. Freedom is under attack in your state. Dictator Ron DeSantis incredibly lets you walk around without masks? That tyrant allows your kids to go to school during the pandemic year two or four or… who the hell knows?

I urge you living in Florida to join the fight, or join us in California, where we’ll take the money you earn and give it to people who don’t work. Visit San Francisco, where you can walk through human feces. If you’re lucky, you might step on a syringe. Check out Los Angeles, where gas is so expensive, your kids only need to skip a meal, or two, or ten, to afford it.

California: Where freedom means lockdowns for you, while I go to the places you can’t afford. Don’t let them take your freedom. Come to California, where we’ll take it. Along with your money.”

Here is Newsom’s Florida ad, just in case you forgot how silly it is:

” Come to California, where we’ll take it. Along with your money.”

  1. Mocking works for me! Very funny fake ad. Love it. (Partial) just deserts for him and a catharsis for us.

  2. Good start GOP.
Now I look forward to The Babylon Bee to really go for it!
ShowandTell, I am with you the mocking works for me. The Floridians must have had a great laugh watching Newsom lecture them on “freedom”.

  3. No kidding, Cali Girl, imagining all of Florida in stitches over Foolish Gavin or just sitting in shock with their mouths open. You know it’s kind of amazing that new troll is a silly insane idiot but he doesn’t say anything different than the Gov is saying! Also very much looking forward to whatever the geniuses at the Babylon Bee come up with.

    1. Oh ShowandTell 😂
LOL, the imagery you painted is perfect.
Also, you have now coined Newsom as the head troll of California. Gov Troll.
Gov Troll is competing with his buddy, Fang Fang’s boy toy, Eric Swalwell.
Let Freedom Ring, just watch where you are walking.

  4. It amazes me that his ‘people’ thought that this would be a good idea.
It makes me very happy because I made it my mission to make sure he never achieves Potus status.
The ad he ran in Florida does the work for me.
He travels often enough to know that California is a sad joke to the rest of the country.
They used to be jealous, now they feel sorry for us.

  5. Californian here…
Can’t stand empty suit Newsom, and the ad is a joke, but you are looking at it the wrong way. He loves the attention. Democrats see him as the only one of their party who is “taking on” DeSantis. The ad is to prop up support amongst his base and get the national name recognition, not to actually change the minds of Californians who moved. Mark my words, he will run for President in 2028 after Kamala Harris gets destroyed in the general election in 2024.

    1. Yes. great points Rod. It is to gain national attention and this megalomaniac loves attention, it is his oxygen.
Imagine what California will look like in 2028😳

    2. Also agree that’s his purpose here. I still think it’s delusional, but I guess we’ll see. At a time when Kamala Harris is Vice President of the United States, all horrifying things are possible.

  6. Hey Governor – how is that bullet train coming along?
Seen any good water projects lately?
When was the poop map last updated for your former city of San Francisco?
Is crime down, or is just the reporting down?

    1. Not well
      No
      Daily
Reporting down – until Gascon gets recalled like Boudin….

California – the biggest flustercluck state in the Nation, thanks to the Democrat idiots and idiotas that rule over us, thanks to Dominion & Alex Padilla, who bought off on the system’s weaknesses as SOS and then skated to the DC swamps….

  7. The best of his Hollywood producer buddies will not get this clown over the finish line!
Runs the ad then goes to Montana, which is has been barred by his AG!
    What a narcissistic idiot!

  8. Abortion Sanctuary State = ASS

Anyone see the irony in this???

Our numbnut “Governor” is starting to test the waters for a 2024 Presidential run… this is his opening gambit at challenging DeSantis, who is the sane choice for a “Trumpist” Presidential candidate – the man himself bungled the January 6 event and the aftermath so badly that he’s not the strongest candidate any longer, although I hope that he will either run for FL Governor to backfill DeSantis (who chooses Noem as his VP) or runs for House in FL and goes for Speaker of the House….

Hey, a guy can dream, right???

  9. I won’t refer to them as “liberals” or “left wing” or “moderates” or “progressives” or even “Democrats”. They are evil Communists, call a spade a spade.

  10. My question is, how does a Governor retain his emergency powers for over two years without a fight?

    1. Right?
Probably the same way that they pass laws to legalize pimping and prostitution in the name
      of political correctness.
Mostly , because they know they never are made to answer for their actions.
