Prop 50 Cheating? California Redistricting Special Election Ballots Expose the ‘NO’ Votes
Voters should not have to perform origami to protect their right to a secret ballot
By Katy Grimes, October 10, 2025 9:57 am
California voters are receiving their single-issue ballots for the Nov. 4 Special Election, Governor Gavin Newsom’s dubious mid-decade redistricting scheme, with the sole purpose of gerrymandering Republicans right out of their Congressional districts.
However, the mail-in ballots have a serious flaw: for those who vote NO, when the ballot is reinserted back in the mail-in envelope as instructed, the voter’s “NO” fill-in bubble shows through a hole in the signature block.
I conducted my own test with my ballot, and it’s true. Several friends have also done this, and reported back: once the ballot is inserted and sealed, if someone takes the ballot, or a handful of ballots and “stacks them” on the left side (kind of like you would do with playing cards), the ballot inside shifts to the left of the envelope.
“The bubble is located directly inside the signature block. What is the one thing that an election official has to look at before the ballot envelope is opened? Verification of the signature. And the bubble is located DIRECTLY NEXT to the signature. This should invalidate the entire election,” a friend emailed.

Globe contributor Richie Greenberg also conducted his own test and posted it to X:
PROP 50 CHEATING? On the CA State ballot measure’s page to fill in and return by mail, the circle to indicate a vote of “NO” lines up with the hole to the outside of the envelope, so anyone can see you voted NO without opening the envelope. Suspicious? WATCH:

Greenberg shows when you put your completed ballot with the “NO” vote, it is visible from the outside of the envelope.

Here is the envelope before you insert your completed ballot:

Greenberg told the Globe that lawsuits need to be filed to invalidate mailed-in-ballots from those counties.
California gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton today called for the immediate suspension of the November 4 Proposition 50 special election after reports surfaced that voters’ marked choices are visible through official return envelopes in multiple counties, a shocking breach of ballot secrecy, potentially affecting millions of Californians, that Hilton called “another example of the corruption and incompetence rigging California’s elections.”
“This is not a small mistake. It is an election integrity crisis,” Hilton said. “When anyone can literally see through the envelope and tell how someone voted, that is not democracy. That is rigging the system in plain sight.”
“Voters should not have to perform origami to protect their right to a secret ballot,” Hilton said. “This is a multi-million-dollar state-run election, and they could not even design an envelope that keeps your vote private. If they cannot run a fair, secure election on one simple question, how can Californians trust anything coming out of Sacramento?”
Hilton said the Prop 50 special election must be suspended immediately and restarted only after a full, transparent review of ballot printing, vendor oversight, and security procedures in every county. He also called on Attorney General Rob Bonta and Secretary of State Shirley Weber to open an investigation into how ballots were approved and mailed despite clear visibility issues.
“This goes to the heart of faith in our elections,” Hilton said. “Californians deserve elections that are fair, secret, and secure, not run-through operations where your vote can literally be seen by anyone handling the mail.”
Actor James Woods summed it up best:

Dems cheat like the sun rises in the morning, and Reps usually let them do so like the sun sets in the evening.
My ballot envelope in San Bernardino County has one hole and does not show how I voted.
Why are there any holes in ballot envelopes?
Gregory Brittain – I think the holes are meant to keep them in intact piles on a metal “skewer” that is upright and attached to a heavy wood or metal base as the ballots come in and are being readied for processing. Can anyone confirm this?
The holes are for folks that are visually impaired so that they can locate the signature block. There are 8 approved ballot printing companies here in California oddly enough one of them is Runbeck in Arizona. On my ballot the flap on the return envelope covers the signature block and the holes. The flap is 3.75″ deep. It would be interesting to know which counties use which printer. It would also be interesting to know if the counties where seats are being gerrymandered have the signature block and the hole exposed. I expect turnout to be the highest in the counties that are potentially losing local representation.
Thank you for that explanation Hal.
Our ballot envelope does not expose the vote.
There have been several verified reports of Runbeck ballots being used in conjunction with Dominion voting machines…

There aren’t holes! Did you even look at your ballot?
It’s not the ballots, it’s the return envelopes that were sent out with the ballots in some counties that are controlled by Democrats like San Francisco, Sacramento, etc. The return envelope has a hole that aligns with the selection of a no vote on Prop. 50 on the ballot when it’s inserted into the envelope. It’s like the NO on Prop. 50 ballots are being uniquely identified and it’s feared that those ballots will never be counted in Democrat controlled counties. The criminal Democrat thug mafia in California will do whatever it takes to steal elections and gain more power.
My envelope doesn’t have holes.
Neither does mine.
Correct. There are no holes in the envelopes.
Wrong! It depends on the county. The return envelopes that were sent out with the ballots in counties controlled by Democrats like in San Francisco, Sacramento, etc. do have holes in them which align with the selection of a no vote on Prop. 50 on the ballot when it’s inserted into the envelope. The ballots with a NO on Prop. 50 are being identified in those Democrat controlled counties and the ballots will likely never be counted.
Your criminal Democrat thug masters will do whatever it takes to steal elections and gain more power.
There ARE holes in the envelopes in Ventura County, Corrine….
They are not as egregious as San Franfreakshow in the article, but a no vote CAN be ascertained by looking from an angle, if the ballot is inserted fold-first, text out….
The entire Democrat power base is CHEATING. They steal everything they have including the current governor seat.
My ballot envelope has the holes but does not show the “no” vote.
I realized decades ago that the Democrat party was organized crime but the depths of their corruption never cease to surprise me.
I remember we were cautioned about this, was it during the 2016 Presidential election, or was it 2020? Whichever, I thought maybe voters were already on alert about it?
I am going to follow the instructions above and check my ballot to see if the “NO” vote shows up before sending it off. I am in L.A. County, and if any county is going to pull this sneaky kind of a trick, it would be L.A. County for sure. (It’s been ominously said in the past by the bad actors that “if you have L.A. County, you have California.”)
Just checked. The “No” vote does not show up in either of the envelope’s two circles. Neither does the “Yes” circle not filled in show up in either of the envelope holes. But I certainly wouldn’t put it past ’em to pull this kind of thing in other counties, or maybe even in other parts of L.A. County?
The example given is Sacramento County. Perhaps the Globe can report exactly which counties are in on this voter fraud?
I live in So. California and do not mail my ballot back.cheating leftists run the USPS. I physically return in to the vote center and drop it in the box. Later I go on-line to verjfy.my ballot was counted. that said, the cheating leftists already know how many NO votes are needed so they designed that many envelopes to reveal the No vote in the window so it can be tossed!!
Well, the Democrat voting cheat machine is in full operation for Prop. 50 I see. Massive ballot harvesting, illegal immigrants voting, no voter ID, no voter roll cleanup, print your own fraudulent mail-in ballot, it’s all ready to go. Now we even have see through ballot envelopes so postal workers and vote counters can throw away the No votes. Surprise, surprise! After that, rigged elections for nearly a decade.
Welcome to Commiefornia.
In Amador County, the envelopes for mailing ballots have no holes, but in other counties like Sacramento, it appears that they do.
Why do Democrats need to cheat in California? California has big cities, and megacities full of stupid people.
One way to win elections is to promise stupid people free stuff.
In Amador county, we’re mostly “country people.” Democrats hate us, and Republicans take us for granted.
We noticed that our ballot envelopes from Sacramento County had holes in the envelopes and we made sure to fold our ballots marked with a NO on Prop. 50 so that our votes were not detectable from outside of the envelopes. There was also a ballot delivered to our house for someone with a Hispanic surname who has never lived here which we returned to the county. There’ll probably be a lot of voter fraud in this special election especially in areas that Democrats control like Sacramento which have a large population of illegals and homeless.
Ventura County DOES have holes and its not quite as blatant as Richie’s example, but a no bubble CAN be ascertained from the side of the hole if the ballot is inserted text out, fold at the bottom….
Ventura County Clerk Michele Ascencion was the handpicked successor to Mark Lunn, and is part of the Democrat “machine”…
Ventura County needs to fold the ballot with the printed side IN to prevent easy determination of the NO votes from outside the envelope.
Democrat scum….
Would a California judge invalidate an obviously crooked election?
Maybe, if…”Look up! There are pigs flying over my house! In formation!”
Us Normies are getting punked by democrats again.
Ours had one hole, but nothing shows through.
DemocRATS can only win by lying and cheating. Everything in Kalifornia is a lie. Gavin Newscum is a lying, cheating, crooked, slimy snake-oil salesman. Never believe a word that comes out of that colostomy bags mouth.
that’s a great definition of himI
that’s a perfect description of him.
I just tried to post a reply
waiting for approval?
Is the globe now censoring?
The Gateway Pundit is reporting that is that you can see how a person voted from outside of the ballot envelope. If you shine a light through a ballot envelope with a ballot in it you can see how the voter voted. Per a review of the ballots and these ballot envelopes, you can see your vote through the white side of the envelope using an iPhone light. A potential solution is to make sure to fold your vote so the black mark is placed in the envelope so the black mark ends up at the top on the orange side of the envelope.
Yep, ww have to be careful and strategic in how we prepare our ballots to make it as difficult as possible for the Dem “machine” to cheat their way into office….
And VOTE NO ON 50!!!
Has Newsom announced his Prop 50 victory yet?
Santa Barbara County is using the “translucent ballot envelope” trick this time, where just a simple flashlight backlight exposes how you voted. Along with your name, address and signature in full view on the ballot envelope.
Death of the Secret Ballot brought to you by the Democrat party which is claiming they are “saving democracy”. Our outrage should show no bounds, and an injunction against this farce of an error-riddled special election should be filed immediately.
They already tried the see-through punched hole ballot envelope trick a few election ago in Santa Barbara county, until they got caught. So Sacramento County cannot claim this was an “innocent error”, since this exact same secret ballot violation trick was already tried and exposed years ago in Santa Barbara County.
Now we know what really goes on during California’s notorious “long counts” when final results all shift to a Democrat winner. They know which ballots to count, and which one to reject. County election officers and their SEIU member employees all need to be immediately frog-marched off our taxpayer payrolls, and worse.
WARNING: PROP 50 BALLOT CHEATING – CHECK BOTH METHODS
1. Punched see-through holes on your ballot envelope exposing your vote (Sacramento County)
2. No envelope holes, but translucent envelope used, where simple backlighting exposes your vote. (Santa Barbara County)
Your county?
If your ballot envelope has no holes, the Democrat cheating game is not over for Prop 50. Shine a flash light behind the ballot envelope with the ballot inside, and see if you instead have the “translucent envelope” ballot cheating trick.
Itried this on mine and can clearly see how I marked my ballot. I am taking my defective Prop 50 ballot directly to the polling place now. Where they can later cheat during a “long count”, but at least it will not get harvested out of the USPS system.
Secy of State just sent out a bogus gas-lighting explanation for the ballot envelope holes, but makes NO mention of the TRANSLUCENT BALLOT ENVELOPES.
Translucent ballot envelopes were sent out at least to Santa Barbara County voters which allows anyone to clearly view the ballot markings placed inside this translucent envelope. Just by just shining flashlight to backlight the envelope.
Why the intentional gaslighting and scolding about ballot envelope “misinformation” Ms .Secy of State.
You got caught and all you did was add to the Prop 50 ballot mischief.
PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF OUR ELECTIONS – NO SEE-THROUGH TRANSLUCENT BALLOT ENVELOPES
