Shawn Ryan Podcast: Gavin Newsom Tries to Falsify His 3-Years of Covid Lockdowns
Ryan exposes Newsom yet again as a compulsive liar

California Governor Gavin Newsom must adhere to the phrase “all publicity is good publicity” which suggests that any attention, whether positive or negative, is better than being ignored.
Californians try to ignore the annoying, narcissistic governor, so he’s reaching out beyond his usual purview, doing podcasts with myriad big-name podcasters. But these interviews don’t make Newsom appear genuine or sincere. His track record as governor is shameful.
And while Newsom keeps his PR flaks busy remaking his image, he really should be feeling some level of embarrassment or shame. But that takes a healthy psyche, as embarrassment is supposed to make people feel badly about their mistakes, so that they learn not to repeat the error. Feeling shame is a “self-conscious emotion” together with pride, embarrassment, jealousy and guilt are emotions Gavin Newsom appears to be lacking.
On a recent podcast, host Shawn Ryan asked Gov. Gavin Newsom about his handling of the pandemic, and his decisions to lock down the entire state of California during the Covid flu.
“What are some of the things during Covid that maybe were a mistake?” Ryan asked the governor. Newsom said “we were worried it was airborne, and about people being outside,” as if that ludicrous notion wasn’t dispelled almost as quickly as it was proposed. “And we realized then, after the fact, ‘what the hell were we doing shutting down the beaches, and open areas?'” Newsom said.
California was locked down for three years, not three months. California Governor Gavin Newsom was the first governor in the nation to order a state fully locked down, and he extended out mask mandates and school and business lockdowns beyond all other states.
“Do you think some of the restrictions you put in place created a mental health crisis… by being locked up, by not being outdoors?” Ryan asked. “Oh c’mon man, of course,” Newsom replied, dislocating his shoulder to pat himself on the back. His new line is “we didn’t know.”
Gavin is now attempting to impersonate a compassionate human being and moderate politician.
He had no real answers for Shawn Ryan. Newsom flailed his jazz hands and talked in circles until Ryan moved on to another topic.
Newsom locked down the entire state of California for three years, nearly 1,095 days, claiming it was because of the Covid flu. Newsom ordered “non-essential” businesses to shut down. Newsom ordered day cares, K-12 schools and colleges and universities shut down. He ordered churches to shut down. He shut down restaurants, and even cancelled outdoor dining. California looked as if a nuclear bomb had dropped and wiped out the population but left the infrastructure standing.
Newsom had mountains of sand dumped into skate parks and playgrounds so kids could not use the equipment, and had basketball nets removed.
Newsom ordered indoor and outdoor masking and mandated the covid shot on babies and children, and all Californians, and then extorted those who wanted to go back to school and work with the shot – no shot, no work or school.
For the first time in history, healthy people were locked down by government tyrants like Gavin Newsom during the Covid flu.
Governor Newsom had Californians arrested for attempting to take an outdoor run. He arrested a lone paddle-boarder in Southern California for daring to visit an empty beach.
Governor Gavin Newsom’s lockdowns made little or no difference – other than to destroy years of kids’ education and kill off as many of the state’s small businesses as possible.
We know who the chief California tyrant is… he told us who he was every day during the COVID outbreak with his freakish television appearances demanding we “stay safe, stay home,” “shelter-in-place” for our own good… while he moved about freely; while his life went on relatively normally, vacationing, dining out with friends, traveling.
Gov. Newsom’s actions were undemocratic, authoritarian, autocratic, oppressive and tyrannical.
As the lockdowns wore on, Gov. Newsom was increasingly diabolical, offering up end dates to the masking and lockdowns, only to either fully retract those claiming “positive tests were up,” or to attach a caveat – like the unvaccinated would have to continue to wear masks indefinitely.
In June 2021, Gov. Newsom announced he would end his COVID stay-at-home order, business lockdowns, and school closures after more than 15 months… but he also said a vaccination verification system would be coming in short order – which is to say, he wanted Californians to use an electronic vaccine passport to gain entrance to businesses, work and events.
The purpose of such an electronic system was to “allow” businesses to confirm that their customers had received their shots. And those who had not taken a vaccine would be required to continue to wear masks, as a form of a “Scarlet Letter.”
Newsom’s lifting of mask mandates for vaccinated individuals was just another cruel strategy to coerce compliance of the vaccination. “Get the vaccine and you can have your freedom; you can go back to normal,” was the plan.
As it turned out, California wasn’t really reopening in 2020, 2021 or even 2022, as the governor frequently teased in his daily television updates. And that was because the state was still under a statewide declaration of emergency, meaning Newsom retained his emergency authority to alter or suspend state laws – indefinitely. Which he did with great frequency.
As the Totalitarian Tyrant in Chief, Gov. Newsom issued 58 executive orders – “one-man-rule” decrees – during his statewide lockdown.
By 2023, California had lost 35.9 percent of “non-essential” businesses, which remained closed after being ordered to. More than one-third of restaurants permanently closed. Many owners were unable to pay their bills or feed their families while Home Depot, Costco and Walmart remained open, deemed “essential” by Gov. Newsom.
And Gov. Newsom was caught living his best life, dining at the French Laundry in Napa, enjoying multiple vacations out of the country while he locked down Californians. In Feb. 2022 he starred in “MaskGate” at the NFC Championship game in Los Angeles – despite his own face mask mandates.
And after Gavin Newsom was caught going maskless at that birthday party in 2020 for his political advisor Jason Kinney at the Michelin-starred French Laundry restaurant in Yountville, he said, “I want to apologize to you because I need to preach and practice, not just preach and not practice, and I’ve done my best to do that. We’re all human. We all fall short sometimes.”
It was evident that Gov. Newsom didn’t feel unsafe dining in a restaurant during the covid flu, and all of his lockdowns and mandates were a lie.
The definition of a Tyrant is someone who dictates and oppresses. As Adam Carolla said on his recent podcast about Gavin Newsom: “He’s a Sociopath.” Corolla asked the governor to do one good thing for the people of California, just one thing that would help the average Californian and taxpayer, “then you can assassinate Trump verbally,” referring to Newsom’s Trump Derangement Syndrome.
“That he has designs on world domination is insane.”

Knowing nothing about sign language, I’d say that person is attempting to warn us about something.
As offensive, obnoxious, and damaging as it is for us to have Gavin Gruesome & Co. constantly lie in our faces without conscience or shame, especially about the PURE HELL he actually did put Californians through during Covid, just as one example, it’s still a good thing that at least he is out there showing the country on the podcasts (the ones he mistakenly thinks will help him) that he is the biggest liar ever. And would be the very last person who should ever get anywhere near the office of U.S. President. As long as Katy Grimes and other skilled and determined journalists continue to expose him, that is.
Even though I cannot and will not listen to that jerk Gov Gavin being interviewed by Shawn Ryan, I did hear a clip on the radio this morning about the dust-up when Ryan brought up Trump’s nickname for Gavin, “Newscum.” Was delighted to hear that Trump hit the nail on the head, and that Newsom is horrified by it. Newsom said he had been called that very name in 7th grade! Of course, maybe he is lying about that, too, to get sympathy. That’s the trouble, Gavin, no one believes you now no matter what you say. Get it? No, he doesn’t get it and he never will.
I LOVE that Adam Carolla video on Newsom the Sociopath. I could watch that edited piece a hundred times in a row. Well, maybe fifty So funny and satisfying. Apparently A LOT of other people agree. 🙂

He’s a NARCISSISTIC, LYING PSYCHOPATH… and I watched only a few minutes of that 4+ hour interview on YouTube, and couldn’t take any more of Newsom’s tough-guy profanity, as he tried to mirror Shawn Ryan.
Newsom is a profoundly EASY TO HATE human being… as many have said on this site – Newsom has NO SOUL, NO EMPATHY, NOTHING of any redeeming value, only a LUST (for his campaign manager’s wife, too) for POWER and CONTROL… and NO INTELLIGENCE, just craftiness of a Satanic order….

Even when the leftist Democrats said enough was enough, he vetoed a bill eliminating his emergency powers. Newsom is a modern day Musilini.
Gavin is an embarrassment, but he himself is not embarrassed, because he doesn’t feel embarrassment, as Katy Grimes pointed out. I hate feeling more embarrassed than the person who should be embarrassed in the first place, but isn’t.

Newsom vacationed in Mexico on a beach, dined at the French Laundry and his children attended basketball summer camps, while we were forced to stay inside and advised to shun those who refused the mRNA injections and watch from afar as our elderly died alone!
Screw him, for now all the world can see him for the sociopath he is!

Unfortunately, one of our daughters ( a left Dem) bought into the fear and control by Newscum. As a result, our twin granddaughters, who were born at the very start of Covid, never saw their grandparent’s faces unmasked for three years( no smiles or joy to be seen by us) and every photo of us with them is a reminder of the tyrannical mental torture imposed on millions of California- the only upside is that our daughter now realizes the scam we all had to endure and her hatred of Newscum is visceral.
This is an unfortunate silver lining and a rather sad one to come out of Newsom’s dictatorship, that only a small portion of the rest of the United States can even begin to understand; e.g. New York, Illinois, and some others. We in California do understand what it is like to live under tyranny, and have been toughened and changed by it. Because of our deeper understanding I think we need to continue to communicate it to the rest of the country. Given the national headlines we see, however, it appears we have had some good success in doing that. NO ONE can stand this guy. Even the people in CA who may consider themselves on the receiving end of the goodies he bribes people with have contempt for him and don’t like him, I’m betting.
Newsom needs to be dragged before a tribunal and be held accountable for his many crimes against humanity. He and his wretched soul have a lot to account for.

My favorite was the wet sand/dry sand farce. Then there was the revelation that the virus could not spread if you were sitting down. I have to say I really enjoyed walking to my restaurant table without a mask.
CW – For awhile there —- remember? —- they said restaurant patrons needed to continuously keep their masks on at their tables and only drag them down when eating a bite-full of food or drinking a sip of drink. Then they were required to replace the mask over mouth and nose immediately afterwards and chew and swallow that way. I’m guessing only the most hypnotized actually did this, or maybe everyone did upon being sternly finger-wagged by already-scared-of-the-state restaurant staff to comply or the restaurant would be shut down.

It was hilarious watching seated and maskless diners stare while I walked by. I did a fair amount of civil disobedience and I even walked the wrong way in Walmart isles! I never had a complaint but that may be due to my appearance.
My wife eventually caught on and started defying the mask police too. She even had a little old lady thank her for giving her the courage to not wear masks too.
I quit wearing a mask in July 2021 when everyone else was still masked up. I remember it being freeing and invigorating, so I know what you mean. No one dared to say anything, but they noticed. Because of it I had some interesting conversations with people who wanted to shed the mask but hadn’t quite done it that I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
Gavin, like most other dems, are very good about one thing: lying in the face of facts. This is a demonstrative way to show disrespect for the people. Unfortunately, if the facts do not support the ideals and the agenda of the indoctrinated, they get away with their lying. Liberals are focused on their ideals even when facts prove that they will never be realized.
As despicable as Newscum is, the citizens of California are also responsible for the extended lockdowns. Capitulating to the nonsense was crazy! I never did, and I’m thankful that I was strong enough to withstand all the “mandates”, which aren’t law and didn’t need to be adhered to. No governor, mayor, health officer, or anyone else except the legislature, can make law, although Newscum thought he was king and could do that.
Our once-beautiful state was brought to her knees due to citizens being frightened by the media and the governor over the flu! The scare tactics of claiming that thousands were dying of covid, when only a small fraction were actually OF covid, not WITH covid was despicable. Actually, the numbers were less than a bad flu year. And why did the flu DISAPPEAR during those years?
Newscum and others like him would like nothing more than to have another “pandemic” (that wasn’t) come again so that they could again gain control of (most) of the citizens, the ones who are sheep and don’t think for themselves. If Californians fall for it again, the state is more lost than she already is!
