Why isn’t Gov. Newsom Being Grilled with Gov. Andrew Cuomo on COVID-19 Nursing Home Policies?

The result was deadly for thousands of vulnerable, elderly nursing home patients in these Democrat-run states

Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is on the hot-seat for ordering Covid patients to nursing homes.

Gavin Newsom did the same – as the Globe reported in 2021, “Several U.S. Governors ordered COVID-19 patients into nursing homes during the pandemic in 2020. But it was only Democrat governors in blue states: Gov. Phil Murphy of New Jersey, Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, Gov. Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania, and California’s Governor Gavin Newsom.”

“The result was deadly for thousands of vulnerable, elderly nursing home patients in these Democrat-run states.”

In California, the California Department of Public Health was directing skilled nursing facilities to take in COVID-19 patients, but at what cost and why with plenty of hospital beds available?

New Jersey was the first state to pay out millions over nursing home COVID deaths.

In California, it was far more devious: Newsom’s California Department of Public Health suspended nursing home relegations, and issued a directive to  allow COVID-19 patients to be housed in nursing homes, all but assuring more Covid deaths of the elderly. (Article 6 of the March 30th directive)

Cuomo was grilled during his public testimony before Congress on Tuesday, defending his administration’s nursing home policies during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, ABC News reported.

“The hearing, before the Republican-led House Oversight and Accountability Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, saw a defensive Cuomo who largely stood by his decision-making during the pandemic — including a March 2020 directive to readmit COVID-19 patients back into nursing homes — and blamed the outsized death toll on what he described as former president Donald Trump’s lack of leadership.”

“Cuomo previously testified before the subcommittee during a closed-door hearing in June. Transcripts from that interview, as well as with high-ranking officials during Cuomo’s administration, were released Tuesday morning ahead of the public hearing.”

Why isn’t Gavin Newsom being grilled by Congress with Cuomo?

The Trump U.S. Justice Department announced in August 2020 that it was considering investigating whether four states led by Democratic governors violated the civil rights of the elderly by requiring nursing homes to admit coronavirus patients, a practice which critics say led to thousands of deaths, Yahoo News reported. “The department said it was seeking COVID-19 data related to nursing homes from four states: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan.”

The Globe reported at the time that the DOJ needed to add California to this investigation. But nothing happened.

We discovered by April 2021 that Gov. Newsom and four other tyrannical blue-state governors, were the only state leaders in the nation who did this.

We never did learn why these five Democrat governors issued the medically deadly orders.

As barbaric as it was, we all knew the answer then, and with certainty we do now. It was a convenient “depopulation” opportunity.

This still needs to be legally adjudicated, and these cases need to see a courtroom.

  1. GOOD QUESTION. I’ve thought this from the beginning of the Dem/Marxists Covid-Exploitation Grand Guignol theatrical presentation, because as far as I could ever tell, outside of California, Gov Gruesome has NEVER been officially questioned, or even much mentioned, about this mass killing of extremely vulnerable people.
And as Katy Grimes properly points out, it WAS more devious than Cuomo, as it ALWAYS is with our slithering snake of a governor.

    1. The slammer for life without the possibility of parole (one hopes). I’d say the death penalty, but Gruesome took care of that, didn’t he. In what looks like a pre-meditated way.

    2. Should be hanging, and it would be a mass hanging, since so many were involved with the murders. Add to the nursing home deaths, those who were murdered in hospitals, following CDC protocols that they all KNEW would kill people. Then add to that all the people killed/maimed by the covid shots, especially those who refused them, but finally complied when their jobs were at stake. Oh, and add to that all the suicides of depressed people after losing their businesses and/or being isolated for months at a time. Looks like we can clean out LOTS of Democrats and RINOS!!!

  2. Agree with Katy that Newsom needs to be hauled before a tribunal and be held accountable for his many grievous crimes against humanity for the way he purposely mishandled the entire scamdemic. He and his wretched soul have a lot to answer for!

  3. I agree that Newsom deserves to be shown the door to his next 8 x 8 living arrangement that comes with orange CDC apparel and in time I believe that this will come to pass. But until this actually happens I actually believe that Newsom is being saved by the democrats so that they can make an attempt to switch Kamala out. I don’t think that it will work but try they will. The debate results are showing that the electorate is not believing Kamala taking with what sounds as a centrist position as Biden did in 2020. In a panicked state they will do anything to stay in power.

  4. Have we learned nothing? There will be no justice for Newsom’s many Covid screwups. We’re missing crusading journalists, opposition politicians, social media influencers, and of course, the victims are all dead. And now Cuomo is making a comeback.
