DOJ Finds 260K Dead People, Thousands of Non-Citizens Registered to Vote

The DOJ is now purging the invalid registrations from the voter rolls before the 2026 midterm election

In a bombshell revelation, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division Harmeet Dhillon announced that over 260,000 dead people and thousands of noncitizens are confirmed to be registered to vote in the U.S. after a review of thirty states that have worked voluntarily with the DOJ to clean their voter rolls. The DOJ is now purging the invalid registrations from the voter rolls before the 2026 midterm election.

In a video posted on social media, Dhillon provided the receipts and a warning to states, like California, who refuse to turn over their voter rolls to the DOJ. At the time of Dhillon’s announcement, the DOJ has reviewed 47.5 million voter records.

Dhillon stated:

I’m here to share an important update about one of my many important duties here at the DOJ, which is enforcing our federal election laws. Here’s some facts and figures for you in the last eight months.

The DOJ has reached out to all 50 states asking them to share their voter rolls with us so that we can help them comply with the Help America Vote Act, which requires states to maintain clean voter rolls. Four states complied voluntarily.

We sued North Carolina early on, and they are checking the voter records of 100,000 voters who were improperly enrolled on their voter rolls, and they’re going to fix their problem. Voluntarily, we have an agreement in place almost with another dozen states, and I expect very soon we’ll be looking at their voter data and comparing it with our records and helping them clean up those voter rolls.

Now, we have 15 lawsuits pending against 14 states. That’s right—California got sued twice—and we are in litigation with them. They’re refusing to provide their records, even though many of these states voluntarily provide their voter rolls to nonprofit groups like ERIC and even other groups.

So we are going to make sure that we get to the bottom of those. Then we’re going to get the rest of the states, so we’re engaged with nearly 30 states.

Here is what we found so far. We’ve checked 47.5 million voter records. We’ve found 260,000-plus dead people enrolled in the states’ voter rolls, which is pretty concerning. They’re going to be removed with the help of the DOJ.

And finally, that there are several thousand non-citizens who are enrolled to vote in federal elections. This is very concerning, and the DOJ is partnering with local law enforcement where appropriate to prosecute people who have unlawfully voted in our elections.

Even one person voting who shouldn’t have voted is one too many, because every citizen is entitled to one person and one vote, with the assumption that their vote is being counted equally and only with other American citizens.

We will not rest at this DOJ, the leadership of Attorney General Pam Bondi, until we complete this project, provide confidence to all American voters that the rolls are clean and elections are free and fair.

In September the U.S. Justice Department Civil Rights Division filed federal lawsuits against six states for failure to produce their statewide voter registration lists upon request: — California, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania.

As the Globe said at the time, “That the DOJ is hauling California, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania into court for hiding their voter rolls is monumental, and specifically the accountability Americans have been clamoring for.”

On Wednesday, the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division did it again, but filed federal lawsuits against six additional states — Delaware, Maryland, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington — for failure to produce their statewide voter registration lists upon request.

According to the lawsuits, the Attorney General is uniquely charged by Congress with the enforcement of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) and the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), which were designed by Congress to ensure that states have proper and effective voter registration and voter list maintenance programs. The Attorney General also has the Civil Rights Act of 1960 (CRA) at her disposal to demand the production, inspection, and analysis of the statewide voter registration lists.

We’ve been covering voter “irregularities,” thanks to Governor Gavin Newsom, who in May 2020 during his COVID statewide lockdown, issued Executive Order N-64-20 2020 ordering every voter in the November 2020 General Election to Vote-By-Mail. And then he made it permanent in 2021, claiming moral authority: “states across our country continue to enact undemocratic voter suppression laws,” Gov. Newsom said.

Newsom also signed Assembly Bill 37  sponsored by Assemblyman Marc Berman (D-Menlo Park), permanently requiring a vote-by-mail ballot be mailed to every active registered voter in the state. AB 37 also gave the state 30 days to prepare a certified statement of the results of the election and submit it to the governing body within 30 days of the election.

For years, Democrats claimed that voter fraud was a myth, until that claim was debunked. Then, Democrats switched the narrative, claiming that the fraud was not “widespread” or enough to impact/overturn the outcome of elections. Yet, hundreds of thousands of invalid registrations can, in fact, impact l0cal, state, and federal elections. In the words of Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch, “dirty voter rolls can lead to dirty elections.”

The Globe will continue to follow the DOJ’s election integrity efforts to ensure that “every citizen is entitled to one person and one vote.”

  1. THANK YOU for reporting this in black and white…
California politics is an utter CESSPOOL of voter fraud and corrupt elections and has been fir DECADES….
Thank you Harmeet for calling this out and taking steps to correct this injustice…

    1. Agree with you wholeheartedly, CD9, in appreciation for this article and for Harmeet Dhillon, and actually for all of what you said. 🙂

    2. Thirty states NOT including California participated in this program to purge voter rolls. I suspect that there will be over a million if the non-participating states are eventually investigated…….and they WILL BE. 🙂

The “cesspool” will include the electronic voting systems used to perpetuate the fraud…….Dominion.

  2. “Newsom also signed Assembly Bill 37 sponsored by Assemblyman Marc Berman (D-Menlo Park), permanently requiring a vote-by-mail ballot be mailed to every active registered voter in the state.”

Ballots are sent to every registered voter whether or not they can legally vote.

There was a woman in California who registered her dog to vote, and the dog voted in the 2021 recall election. She posted a picture on social media with her dog wearing a “I voted” sticker. No word on whether or not the dog voted to recall Newsom.

    1. And, as you know, Protect Freedom, through the “motor voter” DMV law, everyone (including now illegal aliens) who has contact with the DMV is automatically registered to vote. It doesn’t matter what party they pick, they are now registered and an untraceable vote-by-mail ballot is printed and thus produced for potential cheating. These ballots can be flagged and collected through various unscrupulous methods and delivered by the thousands to paid or similarly motivated bad actor robot-people (e.g., SEIU public employee unions) who can then fill them out to get the desired candidate or ballot measure over the line to “win” an election. Extended (for a month or so) ballot-counting allows this to happen once officials can see what candidate or proposition numbers need padding by this method and thus how many cheat ballots must be produced for the “win.”
Dumping vote-by-mail MUST be part of any election reform effort. It’s almost as though Covid fake hysteria with its lockdowns and shutdowns and scares and other diversionary tactics was done for the SOLE PURPOSE of having an excuse to introduce these methods of election cheating through vote-by-mail and other secret padding of numbers to give “wins” to Dem candidates and issues. And not just in California, either, but in other states, too.

      1. Yes, Showandtell. As I previously posted on CG, the California DMV required me to renew my driver’s license in person (over 70.) I input my information on one of their computers. It asked me if I wanted to register to vote or update my voter registration. I thought why not? One of the questions was whether I was a US citizen. I answered yes. That was it. No follow-up to confirm my citizenship. I was “in”. How many millions of non-citizens have used the California DMV to become registered voters?

        1. Thank you Fed Up, that was valuable hands-on information about how the DMV process of motor-voter works. This is actually also done if you, say, renew your license without having to visit an office in person, which I noticed was brought into the process since I did it the time before. No checks or confirmations or proof required to register. Yes, how many millions?

  3. Another reason to drop vote by mail is that not everyone that lives in the state of California has the same mail service standards. If you live in a metropolitan area within 50 miles of a mail processing center, you can drop a mail ballot off at the Post Office and it will be postmarked on the day that you drop it off even on election day. If you live in rural area and you drop, you ballot off on election day with the Post Office it is postmarked the next day by the Post Office, and it will be considered late. The process has to treat all voters the same. Having different mail standards creates inequities for rural voters.

    1. What’s important is how many untraceable ballots were PRINTED from voter rolls that include illegitimate “registered voters;” names that simply shouldn’t be there. It’s the untraceable ballot itself, without envelope, that is the key, which can be filled out any way the powers that be want. The SOS and most county registrars in CA, given the system in place, only produce, in the election results, NUMBERS of additional “votes,” without having to produce the identities of those who “voted.” There is no chain of custody in vote-by-mail as we once had with secure, regimented rules and requirements in the old precinct polling places. Now, any bad actor (like a public union member in a boiler room, for instance) can fill in any number of untraceable ballots and submit them. Probably by sticking them in a “drop box,” which drop boxes, you may have noticed, have not gone away in spite of security problems —- and which, in fact, are oddly “pushed” by the SOS and county registrars. Once the ballots are collected and the ballot is separated from the envelope there is no way to trace the ballot that is counted. This is just one way election cheat likely happens. I think it’s a big one, but there are others, of course.
Am I missing something here? Not being able to see it with our own eyes and witness how it works and what it looks like is a problem, I admit, in speculating about how the cheat happens as a practical matter. But we know it’s happening. Look at how EAGER and ANXIOUS and downright ITCHY the dishonest Dem political leadership was to change our voting protocols and bring this ripe-for-fraud method into the mix in 2020, confident they could do it quickly and without opposition (Gavin’s Exec Order, shortly thereafter cemented into law by the legislature), if they used “Covid” as an excuse. You know, for “public safety.” What B.S.

  4. “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be. If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed.”
    TJ
What is truly sad is that county election commissioners, Secretaries of States and anyone in charge of voting rolls, should understand their sacred duty to insure a free and fair election.
As it stands, both Republicans and Democrats are terminal in the end, and should be removed from the rolls. The padding of voter rolls is known, and those people should know in their hearts the damage it does to this nation.

  5. The success of American democracy is not guaranteed by its structure alone, but depends on the moral character and active participation of its citizens.
