HHS Acts to Bar Hospitals from Performing Sex-Rejecting Procedures on Children

HHS Acts to Bar Hospitals from Performing Sex-Rejecting Procedures on Children.

The Health and Human Services agency doesn’t want hospitals performing sex change surgeries, or chemical castrations on children.

“The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) today announced a series of proposed regulatory actions to carry out President Trump’s Executive Order directing HHS to end the practice of sex-rejecting procedures on children that expose young people to irreversible harm. These procedures include pharmaceutical or surgical interventions of specified types that attempt to align a child’s physical appearance or body with an asserted identity different from their sex.”

The New York Times translated it this way:

“The federal government on Thursday acted to put an end to gender-related care for minors across the nation, threatening to pull federal funding from any hospital that offered such treatment.”

“Gender-related care.” It sounds so soft and fuzzy the way they talk about sex change operations and castrations on children.

This is why the Trump administration and HHS are making the significant change:

“Sex-rejecting procedures on children — which include puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgical operations — expose them to irreversible damage, including infertility, impaired sexual function, diminished bone density, altered brain development, and other irreversible physiological effects.”

Right on cue, California State Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) issued a press release weighing in from his pro-trans-children position, hyperbolic, hysteria claiming that Trump wants trans people to die:

“The Trump Administration released a draft rule to ban gender affirming care across the U.S. by withholding federal funding from hospitals that provide it. The American Medical Association and other major medical associations continue to support access to this care because it has been shown to sharply reduce suicide attempts, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse among LGBTQ youth. If finalized, the new rule would put thousands of LGBTQ young people at risk.”

“This illegal proposal is designed to eliminate health care for transgender youth by threatening to destroy hospitals that provide that care: care that has long been validated by physicians and medical associations and that is provided with parental support. These health care decisions should be made by the young people, their parents, and their physicians, not by the government. This is an extreme overreach and blatantly illegal.

“This repugnant plan is just a proposal with many steps remaining before it is finalized. Hospitals need not and should not comply while it is being considered by regulators.

“Trump and his ideologues want to erase trans people from existence. That’s always been the plan. We won’t let them.

“To all the trans kids and their families who are living in fear right now: we see you, we have your backs, and we will fight for you.”

The American Medical Association has been discredited, particularly over their support for child sex-change surgeries and chemical castrations with puberty blockers.

This is 100% child abuse.

Not long ago, the sexualization of children by doctors and schools was verboten.

Now, California is now a refuge for trans kids, thanks to Sen. Scott Wiener and Gov. Gavin Newsom. Sen. Wiener initiated this concept and dangerous law with passage of his bill, SB 107, in August 2022, which became law, and now erodes parents’ rights by allowing minor children to travel to California for trans procedures, puberty blockers, known as “gender-affirming health care.”

SB 107 made California a destination state for “transgender” surgical procedures for minors.

The HHS continues:

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. today signed a declaration, based on an HHS peer-reviewed report, finding that these procedures do not meet professionally recognized standards of health care. Under the declaration, practitioners who perform sex-rejecting procedures on minors would be deemed out of compliance with those standards.

“Children deserve our protection, not experimental interventions performed on them, that carry life-altering risks with no reliable evidence of benefit,” said CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz. “This proposal seeks to clarify that hospitals participating in our programs cannot conduct these unproven procedures on children. CMS will ensure that federal program standards reflect our responsibility to promote the health and safety of children.”

Last month, HHS published Treatment for Pediatric Gender Dysphoria: Review of Evidence and Best Practices, its peer-reviewed study of the medical dangers posed to children from attempts to change their biological sex. According to claims data, nearly 14,000 minors received sex-rejecting procedures between 2019 and 2023.

A child with real gender dysphoria needs to be treated by a psychotherapist, not a surgeon.

Sen. Wiener’s bill was rammed through California legislative committees by the state’s Democrats (during the Biden administration), and signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom– ignoring any real “transition” data or real life accounts.

Many charged that this was done surreptitiously, targeting vulnerable minor foster children in California on Medi-Cal funded transgender hormones and surgeries without permission of a parent or guardian.

Is this now law because transitioning teens is becoming such a lucrative industry in medicine?

Well, the Trump HHS just pulled the rug out from under these medical butchers:

“Nearly all U.S. hospitals participate in Medicare and Medicaid and this action is designed to ensure that the U.S. government will not be in business with organizations that intentionally or unintentionally inflict permanent harm on children.”

The NY Times warns, “the proposed new rules, announced by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at a news conference Thursday morning, would effectively shut down hospitals that failed to comply.”

Good. They should shut down these hospital butchering mills that target vulnerable children.
