The Democrat Meltdown is Emblematic of their Collapse

Democrats everywhere are melting down. It’s very public, juvenile, unhinged and non compos mentis.

The Democrat Party has a serious problem: Democrats are collapsing very publicly over every Trump policy win, tariffs and trade deal, or agency firing.

Yet Democrats have dramatically failed to offer the American people any credible policy, or show any willingness to tackle the very real issues working Americans face – like sky-high electricity rates, or failing public schools, or public safety… Or the critical issues President Donald Trump ran on and is delivering on, which matter to Americans: National Security, government transparency, border and immigration, Making America Healthy Again, tariffs and trade and the economy.

Democrats embraced the craziest radicals in their party, and now are stuck with the nutters. It’s a cult of lazy, unemployed, under-achievers who promise free housing and government-run grocery stores.

The redistricting issue is a case-in-point. California Governor Gavin Newsom announced his intentions last week to blow up California’s independent redistricting commission, illegally tampering with the state’s electoral maps mid-decade… because TRUMP, as the Globe reported earlier this week.

Newsom made this announcement as Texas continues with their current plans for a mid-decade redistricting. But Newsom is conflating his desires to win the midterm elections with actual federal law and Texas’ working to bring its districts in line with federal law and court decisions.

Last month, Texas Governor Greg Abbott added redistricting to the 2025 state agenda, because the U.S. Department of Justice raised legal concerns over the constitutionality of four districts in the state over where district lines were redrawn in 2021 following the heavily manipulated 2020 Census.

Hans Von Spakovsky explains:

“On July 7, 2025, Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon sent a letter to Gov. Abbott and AG Paxton, identifying four Texas congressional districts—TX‑09, TX‑18, TX‑2, and TX‑33—as “unconstitutional racially based” gerrymanders. These so-called coalition districts (combining minority groups like Blacks and Hispanics) were found not protected under Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act based on the 2024 5th Circuit ruling in Petteway v. Galveston County.

When Texas drew its coalition districts in 2021, it impermissibly used race and ethnicity as the predominant factor in drawing the boundary lines. That makes those four districts unconstitutional because they violate the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment, the “one person, one vote” standard—meaning they must be redrawn.

This is what Gubernatorial Candidate Steve Hilton addressed this week when he announced his “legal action to stop Governor Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta from ramming through an illegal, mid‑decade redistricting scheme designed to shred the state constitution and rig California’s elections.”

“Republicans have 40% of the vote, but only 6% representation.” Hilton cited the 14th Amendment’s  Equal Protection Clause, which California and federal courts have upheld: one person, one vote.

Von Spakovsky continues:

“Contrary to the discrimination claims they’re making in the press, it is these errant Democrats—not Republicans—who think there is nothing wrong with judging how people will vote based on the color of their skin and who want to preserve the racist redistricting.”

Democrats lie and cheat, and now their lies and cheating have caught up to them.

Classic Examples of the Hysteria

Democrats are actually comparing Republicans to the Nazi Party, and calling President Trump and Republicans “Hitler.”

A Texas Democrat hiding out in Illinois compared the Holocaust to Republicans’ redistricting plan. Democrat state Rep. Jolanda Jones is the lawmaker who claimed that the GOP-led redistricting plan in Texas is coming after “her people,” and while on Don Lemon’s show, compared it to the Holocaust, attempting to defend Democrats’ decision to flee the state to avoid a redistricting vote.  She later apologized, Fox News reported.

She is an imbecile for saying it in the first place. But she’s not alone.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker claimed Republicans want to pollute the air and give tax breaks to the uber-wealthy. And I’m sure he meant to include that Republicans want to toss your grandma off the cliff rather than pay her Social Security.

Pritzker claimed that “Texas is taking voting rights away from black and brown people,” on the Colbert show.

Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, a caricature of former Reps. Sheila Jackson Lee or Cynthia McKinney, called President Trump “Temu Hitler” over her state’s proposed Texas redistricting map. She further said “he thinks he’s going to become the dictator of the United States.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) attacked the Trump administration’s approach to border security and immigration, referring to its deportation of Venezuelan gang members as “sanctioned kidnappings,” Fox News reported.

She also claimed that Republicans “are going after Medicaid next.”

As President Trump was about to be sworn in January 20th, Ocasio-Cortez said, “We are on the eve of an authoritarian administration. This is what 21st-century fascism is starting to look like.”

A little hyperbolic perhaps? Yes. But what else does she or Jasmine Crockett have to offer their voters? Nada.

California’s elected Democrats are just as overwrought.

Rep. Eric Swalwell’s freaky “I should be working right now” video where he’s lifting weights at the gym. “I should be at the Capitol. I should be in a suit. Instead, Republicans sent us home because they would rather stand up for Donald Trump, than release the Epstein files and stand up for victims,” Swalwell said in the video.

He was appropriately ravaged online for the stupid prank, but the best was conservative radio host Wendy Bell:

One of California’s U.S. Senators, Alex Padilla claimed on Meet the Press that President Trump is “Weaponizing the Bureau of Labor Statistics,” as well as the Department of Justice.

Think about how stupid that is – weaponizing the Bureau of Labor Statistics? Weaponizing the jobs report? Are you kidding me?

However, this was a “pot, meet kettle” moment for Sen. Padilla. “Weaponizing” the DOJ was real, but done by the Biden administration. Remember when Attorney General Merrick Garland formed a law enforcement task force to use the FBI and several divisions of the Department of Justice against parents protesting Covid-19 mandates and racist indoctrination in public schools? This was after receiving a letter from two officials at the National School Boards Association smearing protesting parents as “potential domestic terrorists.”

“And yes, Garland said he would use his National Security Division—the unit within Justice that goes after jihadists—to crack down on parents,” Von Spakovsky reported at Heritage.org.

Don’t forget Senator Padilla’s ridiculous stunt where he had to be forcibly removed from a press conference after crashing Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s press event at a federal building in Los Angeles.

Then we have Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass who actually blamed the Trump administration’s ICE operations for starting the riots that exploded in June, while claiming “things in L.A. are calm.” She’s desperate and half-baked.

Who can forget California Governor Gavin Newsom’s claim that he’s responsible for the “Fastest recovery in debris removal in modern history” after the Pacific Palisades, Altadena and Malibu fires in January. Actually, all three locales still have tons of fire debris piles on homesites, fire ravaged buildings untouched, and burned-out emptiness where houses once made up neighborhoods. And next-to-nothing has been rebuilt – in 6 months. 

The totally irrelevant Robert Francis O’Rourke, more commonly known as Beto O’Rourke, claims President Trump is going to arrest his political enemies and will not leave the White House in a third term. Crazy talk.

Notably, Texas AG Ken Paxton said the O’Rourke-led political action committee, Powered by People, may have violated bribery, campaign finance and abuse of office laws, citing “public reports” that O’Rourke was bankrolling the Texas House Democrats who fled to Illinois.

Is this desperate? Stupid? Or just incautious or fast-and-loose? I defer to stupid.

Speaking of stupid: “I’m not going to sit back any longer in the fetal position, a position of weakness, when in fact California can demonstrably advance strength,” Newsom desperately said. “If the American people are given a fair chance and a voice and a choice, we will take back Congress.”

Politics is downstream from culture, Andrew Breitbart said. Cultural values and norms shape political decisions and policies, rather than politics dictating cultural trends.

The normals are taking American culture back, and Democrats are melting down.  Working Americans reject their hatred of law enforcement and military, their preferential treatment of illegal aliens, their racial bias and division, their joy of aborting babies, their social justice, their gender obsession, their crooked environmentalism, their hate filled talking points, their climate grift, as well as their blithering stupidity.
