Barack Obama Endorses Prop 50, ‘Democracy Is On The Ballot’
The ad, in part, is funded by George Soros and the California Teachers Association

Former President Barack Obama has released a 30-second ad urging Californians to vote “yes” on Prop 50, a $250 million ballot measure that would “temporarily” eliminate a democratically-elected, bipartisan redistricting commission and hand unilateral control of the state’s redistricting to the Democratic supermajority in the state legislature.
According to Barack Obama, overthrowing prior elections, unilateral control, and gerrymandering is “leveling the playing field” and saving democracy.
The ad premiered on X and was funded, in part, by the California Teachers Association (CTA) and the Fund for Policy Reform.

In the ad, Obama pleads:

The Fund for Policy Reform was founded by Democratic donor George Soros in 2009 through a $100 million donation and “began with a focus on supporting left-of-center environmentalist advocacy, the Fund is now active in public welfare, opposition to capitalism, criminal justice reform, and drug policy.”
This isn’t the first time anti-capitalists like Soros and Obama have meddled in California politics.

In 2016, the Fund for Policy Reform led the charge to abolish capital punishment in California through Proposition 62, leading a $16 million campaign which, if successful, would end the death penalty in the state. Proposition 62 failed, upholding capital punishment, while Proposition 66, which expedited the execution process and was opposed by the Fund, passed in 2016.
According to CTA Secretary-Treasurer Erika Jones, Prop 50 is critical to fighting back against “draconian cuts to our schools and our health care.” The union contends that some California Republican representatives have voted to slash funding for public education. The union, like Barack Obama, is “fighting back against any and all attacks on our democracy.”
Today, the Globe reported that a nationwide aborti0n-on-demand nonprofit is also stumping for Prop 50 to “fight for democracy.”
Reproductive Freedom for All, a pro-abortion advocacy group previously called “NARAL,” the National Abortion Rights Action League, is campaigning for passage of Proposition 50, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s ballot initiative to redistrict and flip California’s Republican congressional districts mid-decade.
“Our more than 400,000 members in California are working in lock-step with the Prop 50 campaign to educate and drive voters to the polls through phone banks, text banks, canvassing, and digital outreach. In a state with historically strong protections, our members are ready to vote yes on Prop 50 because the fight for reproductive freedom is intertwined with the fight for democracy,” Reproductive Freedom for All says.
The tired “Democracy is on the ballot” shtick didn’t work in 2024 for Kamala Harris, but Democrats are hoping that Soros’ dark money and myopic partisan politics will, once again, overthrow the will of a majority of Californians who voted twice to establish a bipartisan Citizens Redistricting Commission. Overthrowing the will of voters isn’t Democracy, it is, in Obama’s words, “unchecked power.”

OMG, this super-annoying person we all hoped we would never see or hear from again seems to be popping up way too much lately. At least often enough for us to note that once a liar, always a liar. Yes, that’s Obama for you: “Prop 50 puts our elections back on a level playing field” — really? Lying is so ingrained in this guy’s makeup he doesn’t even know he’s doing it, does he. That he should be dragged out of his Barcalounger so often when he is SO ineffective in every way tells you how desperate the CA Dems are. But posting some boilerplate B.S. on X probably doesn’t tire him out too much, lucky for him. Can’t they do better than this, though? Guess not.

If this is not evidence that we all should vote no on Prop50 then I do not know what is. Another hoax is in progress.
This man has brought so much division to this country.

Divisive Obama needs to quit meddling in California politics. He and his husband Big Mike are shady Democrat multimillionaires who need to stay retired in one of their luxurious mansions none of which are located in California.
Oh, yes, gerrymandering voting districts so only Democrats can win elections in California is “leveling the playing field” and “saving democracy”. Nevermind that seven states have jerrymandered their voting districts so much that not one Republican is represented in Congress.

WHEN WAS THE SECOND TIME
Californians approved Proposition 11 in 2008 and Prop. 20 in 2010, creating a strong defense against gerrymandering by transferring the task of congressional redistricting from the California State Legislature and the governor to the California Citizens Redistricting Commission (created by Proposition 11 in 2008).
It is funny how people from Illinoise, Obama, Pritzker, Johnson, do not want anyone meddling in their state, yet thay are more than willing to come dictate what happens in CA. But that is par for the course for tyrants.
Once again, one of the worst Presidents ever babbles on. How can we miss Obama and his family if they won’t go away?

Recently Obama was in London holding an Obama Foundation event: In October 2025, Obama met privately in London with alumni from the Obama Foundation’s leadership programs from Eastern Europe to discuss the global rise of authoritarianism.
