Bill O’Reilly Says Gavin Newsom is ‘Done’ in Presidential Run

O’Reilly blames Newsom for running over parental rights and California’s decaying cities

By Katy Grimes, October 23, 2023 11:36 am

Monday on the The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show  on Rush Limbaugh’s former national radio network – the hosts asked former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly for his prognostications on presidential candidates if Joe Biden drops out. Clay Travis said he predicts California Governor Gavin Newsom will be the Democratic Party candidate. No Spin Zone host O’Reilly balked and said there’s no way – “He’s done, because of the parent thing.”

O’Reilly described the bills Newsom signed into law removing parental rights over children as young as age 12, particularly over gender and sexual issues in California’s public schools. He said it’s a deal breaker for Newsom, similar to how when Terry McAuliffe said parents should not have authority over what schools teach their children, and was defeated in his bid for Virginia Governor by Glenn Younkin.

One such California bill, Assembly Bill 665 by Assemblywoman Wendy Carrillo (D-Los Angeles), would allow children as young as 12 years to consent to mental health treatment or counseling without parental approval or involvement. In California it is already law to allow a minor who is 12 years of age to consent to mental health treatment or counseling on an outpatient basis, or to residential shelter services, “if the minor is mature enough to participate intelligently in the outpatient services or residential shelter services, or if the minor is the alleged victim of incest or child abuse.” Carrillo’s bill will remove the additional requirement that the child must present a danger of serious physical or mental harm to themselves or to others, or be the alleged victim of incest or child abuse – in order to consent to mental health treatment or counseling on an outpatient basis, or to residential shelter services.

O’Reilly also said all Republicans need to do to seal Newsom’s fate is show current photos of the demise of San Francisco and Los Angeles, displaying the depths of the homeless drug addict crisis on California city streets – as these photos clearly show:

The Globe throws in with O’Reilly and adds Sacramento into the mix for Gavin Newsom to have to defend.

As the Globe recently reported, Sacramento’s homeless drug-addicted, mentally-ill, criminal vagrant population have clearly shown they can’t govern or take care of themselves. They have been allowed to camp, squat and roam unrestrained in the Sacramento region. They are disrupting daily business life in Sacramento’s downtown, as well as the residential neighborhoods in and around the city. And city officials and the mayor have done little to prevent and stop this.

This daily harassment led Sacramento County District Attorney Thien Ho to file a lawsuit against the City of Sacramento in September for failing to abate the homeless crisis in the Capitol city. DA Ho said Sacramento’s homeless crisis has exploded by more than 250% in just 7 years – since Darrell Steinberg was elected Sacramento Mayor.

Another of the anti-parent bills isSB 407 by Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco), which would ensure that unless all potential foster parents are willing to “affirm” LGBTQ gender and sexuality in foster youth, and any gender transitioning, they will be prohibited by the state from being foster parents. Sen. Wiener introduced his bill during the Senate Human Services Committee in April saying, “We want to make sure we aren’t placing these children in homes where there is hostility towards them.” The “hostile” homes the Senator refers to are religious families. Sen. Wiener said foster youth who identify as LGBTQ need protection from physical and psychological abuse coming from non-affirming foster parents.

Several other bills remove parental rights – read about them here.

  1. This state which I was born and raised in is in sorry shape. I told my mother when he was elected that he would burn the place down . He is dangerous on the national level way way dangerous to us all.

  2. It’s good to have this Bill O’Reilly perspective from afar (still East Coast, yes?) to pinpoint these two issues — Gavin’s support for ending parental rights and Gavin’s giant hand in and responsibility for our cities becoming major stinking hellholes under his reign —- as the killers of Newsom’s Prez ambitions. I hope O’Reilly is right, and it sure seems as though he is; what he says certainly resonates.

Unfortunately YES: Sacramento definitely needs to be added to the California list of ruined, chaotic cities. Just look at those photos —- they are so discouraging a person could cry for a hour —- of those previously lovely parkland and historical sites. Wouldn’t you love to go there if you visited Sacramento? I would. But not now. This unacceptable state of affairs is not good for residents (blight, crime, filth) and not good for the vagrants, either (addiction, filth, illness, dead end life, even death), to just sit and not act and let this situation rot and fester, without reasonable intervention, which of course has not happened. Never mind that Sacramento is CA’s capital, where Newsom lives and works (supposedly). This makes his role even more unacceptable and more of a disgrace. Is the man deaf and blind — and sociopathic? (yes)

All the parental rights bills mentioned above will keep a person up nights, especially now that they are law. I’m particularly concerned that AB 665 will be the facilitator of a major fast-track high-speed horror-highway out of parents’ view and control for the 12-and-up school-to-transgender-clinic hormone and surgery assembly line. There will be many many many more casualties and ruined lives before a successful challenge can take hold, if we even see it.
From Hot Air, 3/29/23 – “CA Dems Approve State-Sanctioned Kidnapping” – Excerpt:
“….This proposal [AB 665] obviously doesn’t have anything to do with actually providing mental health services to minors who are either experiencing genuine gender dysphoria or have been convinced that they are by their peers or counselors. This legislation is clearly geared toward feeding children into the ‘transition’ pipeline via name changes followed by hormones, puberty blockers and genital mutilation surgery.”

Yes, we’ll just see what the rest of the country thinks about these two abominations ALONE; the stripping of parental rights like it’s a GOOD thing and the purposeful growing of hellhole zombie cities. Can Gavin Newsom withstand the heat generated from THAT in a still-reasonably-sane-and-decent country?

  3. I wonder if the rest of the country would like to be introduced to the “Poster Boy of San Francisco” decay. A man was finally arrested after many, complaints went ignored.
What was he doing you ask? Living in on a sidewalk selling drugs in front of a catholic school, oh yeah he is a pedophile as well. The link will provide the context. This is what Newsom’s California has become. Homeless living in squalor is in every city with an exception of a few!

        1. It really is @Show! It is beyond belief.

It is stunning and a really good example how far San Francisco and for that matter California have fallen.
Newsom has held public office since the early nineties in this state. He cannot run from the mess he helped to create. His care not cash program in 2002 n San Francisco was the predecessor to the Housing First model. Care not cash provided supportive housing but did not address the root of the problem. This helped usher in street people begging and stealing for cash.

Newsom at the helm is a dangerous proposition.

  4. I would ask that you link to this article in your social media accounts since the MSM will bury this article deeper than Jimmy Hoffa. It is up to us to get the word out.

    1. YES, thanks for the reminder, Chuckiechan.
The much-deserved image of Newsom as CA’s clown governor and super-destructive malevolent political entity HAS seeped into the national ether, I’ve been noticing for some time. Even with entities like the WSJ and such, so not just the “alternative” media. Can’t help thinking Katy Grimes and The Globe have been responsible for this — because coverage by The Globe of his horrendous record goes way back, when few others in CA were doing anything other than slobbering all over the guy. Good.
So I agree, we all must keep sharing, keep pounding. If this guy were to somehow worm his way in, whether next year or in four years, we all know what a DISASTER that would be for our country.

  5. While O’Reilly is correct in what Gavin Newsom has done, he’s not factoring in that when he finally begins his campaign, the so called mainstream media will do everything they can to paint Newsom in the best light possible which will include ignoring stories like this. The media is also aware of how thin the Democrats bench is regarding sellable candidates. I’m certain Newsom will be portrayed as the latest incarnation of Camelot with his lovely Partner ( not wife ) and their lovely children. ( Writing that last sentence made me ill )

    1. I agree. The mainstream media has covered for the Democrats, even burying the Hunter Biden laptop story. The will continue to run free Newsom ad campaigns, which the Republicans will have to counter with huge sums of money for paid advertisements. You also have to factor in all of the ballot harvesting and other voting iregularities that the Democrats have perfected.

On the flip side, Newsom has an almost endless list of failures. How about $40 billion in fraudulent claims that the EDD give to criminals, so even in prison? How about the tens of thousands of small businesses he ruined with lockdowns that proved to be useless? How about mandating Covid shots for children to attend school when they aren’t even affected by Covid? These failures are so bad, you can’t make this stuff up.

  6. Katy, You and others are systematically exposing Newsom for who he really is and what he is doing to this state and nation. Newsom’s corruption is actually proving John Adams quote: “Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Without sell-restraint and morals democracy devolves into a fiefdom. Which is where we are at today. So, after the exposure what is the next step? In my humble opinion it is finding places where criminal charges can be brought up. We all know that the California Department of Justice is not the place but District Attorneys like Thein Ho who take their oath to office seriously should be engaged in matters like this. Grand Juries should also be considered as well. You or your readers may know of other avenues to take as well. At this point in time everything should be on the table to bring this rogue politician to justice.

  7. Let’s hope O’Reilly called this one correctly as, having lived under Newsom’s reign of terror in California, I fear he would bring even more damage to our precious Republic than the guy currently residing in the White House.
