Democrats Cite Founding Documents to Defend Illegal Immigration
Remember the NARA!

Local Democrat officials in Riverside County have taken to citing United States founding documents to support illegal immigration. Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) board president, Elizabeth F. Romero, recently drafted a resolution to proclaim a non-cooperative stance with federal immigration authorities. Likewise, Riverside County Board of Supervisors (RivCo) member, Jose Medina, cited the Bill of Rights in his support of a county “sanctuary” resolution. Both resolutions were presented at their respective board meetings last week; the RCOE resolution failed, the RivCo resolution passed.

Both resolutions failed to distinguish between legal and illegal immigration, purposefully conflating the two, as Democrats are wont to do. Neither resolution even recognized that every country on planet Earth has immigration laws, including the United States.
The claims that the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, defends and protects illegal immigration is ridiculous, ignorant, and insulting.

Both the RCOE (Romero) and the RivCo board claimed that their resolutions were simply “reaffirming the values” held by the respective boards, they had “no teeth” as RivCo Supervisor Manny Perez put it. It should be noted that Perez did threaten to write a resolution that did “have teeth,” if complainers didn’t shut up. So, the only purpose the resolutions served was to virtue signal. But virtue signal to who? The illegal immigrant population that largely do not pay taxes (it’s a myth that they do) and do not legally vote? Officials claimed to be concerned with the safety of their constituents, but they seemed much more concerned with protecting dangerous gang members and child traffickers. Ridiculous.
Ignorant
Romero’s RCOE failed resolution, Recognizing Riverside County’s Commitment to Provide All Children Equal Access to Education, claimed that since “the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America recognizes every individual’s right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness…,” it was justified for the RCOE to declare “…the Riverside County Board of Education will work closely with city, county, and other state and local municipalities and community organizations to ensure students and families are a protected space.”
The Resolution failed 5-2, mainly because of the concern that leaving federal authorities out of the groups they would work closely with could get the RCOE sued. Read the full after action report here.
But that wasn’t the only issue. It wasn’t brought up, but the resolution defied President Trump’s Executive Orders on DEI and gender ideology in the opening Whereas, stating that the RCOE was (emphasis added) “committed to the success of all students irrespective of their immigration status, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, ability, sex and gender identity, socioeconomic status or beliefs….”
Another example of possible federal funding ending content occurs in the second resolved statement. Romero declares that the RCOE “affirms its focus on promoting the County Superintendent’s Equity and Inclusive Practices Initiative by elevating tolerance, equity inclusiveness….”
Note the word “affirm.” Meaning that the board believes and practices the resolution, even without its passage. In fact, both the RCOE and RivCo have existing policies describing how they follow California sanctuary-style Immigration virtue signaling, which worked fine in the Obama/Biden era. This was discussed in the meeting as well, but the RCOE and RivCo should take into consideration it may need a resolution and policies disavowing these ideologies and practices in the near future.
Back to the main issue, the erroneous citation of the Declaration of Independence. The mistake was brought to the attention of the board before the meeting in the form of a letter, which read in part:
“While referencing the Declaration of Independence is admirable, as that document still inspires people around the world to throw off oppressive governments, the actual quote would be “…are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” The Declaration of Independence was, and remains, a justification to throw of the yoke of a tyrannical government, not a justification to invade another land and demand those rights from an existing government that is not their own.”
The letter also pointed out that RCOE’s actual constituents might deserve greater concern than the “thousands” of illegal students the RCOE admitted to harboring:
“In fact, many of your students have family members that are in Law Enforcement. I would ask the board to consider the fear, uncertainty, and concerns for safety that those students feel when they see angry and hateful crowds in their community-for themselves and for their loved-ones who must confront such mobs. Angry crowds that block streets and trap citizens in cars, vocalize their hatred for the United States, fly foreign flags as if they were a conquering army, and attack law enforcement with rocks and bottles. Such an event occurred in Perris (Riverside County) just this past week and resulted in arrests, including for assaults with a deadly weapon.”
While the RivCo resolution did not make mistaken Constitutional claims in the resolution itself, Supervisor Jose Medina, a long-time Democrat California State Assembly member, claimed that the Bill of Rights did pertain to illegal immigrants. Specifically, Medina happily referenced the recent and ongoing dangerous and pro-illegal immigration violent riots in Los Angeles and Riverside that shut down freeways and attack innocent bystanders as well as police, and promised more.

Medina further makes the argument that the issue of “who should be a part of this country” is nothing new, but then completely ignores (just as Biden did) that the issue has been settled through immigration laws passed by Congress. Medina waxed nostalgically about indoctrinating students when he was a teacher by taking them to street protests against California Proposition 187 and promised that there would be more violent riots in the future. As you might expect, there were other exasperating false-narrative reasons board members gave for supporting the resolutions, and I encourage all to view the videos. The elected officials are violating their oaths of office with the wild abandon of a Gen Xer on Spring Break in Mexico. Manny Perez in particular, had a lot of nonsense to share.
Medina, Romero, and their comrades claim that anyone that is able to defy United States law and sneak into the country will have the Constitutional protections guaranteed to U.S. citizens are ignorant and plain wrong.
For one thing, apply common sense. By the board members’ logic, German soldiers could have snuck into the U.S. during World War II, claimed Constitutional protections of the Right to Assembly, and staged riots throughout the country. Which is exactly what the democrats have done over the last four (+++) years–brought in an invading army to attack from within. It’s just inane that these officials even say this out loud.
Secondly, apply the 14th Amendment which granted citizenship to all “persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” Concentrate on the words “subject to the jurisdiction of.”
The Heritage Foundation provided a good analysis of this in 2018 (h/t Arlene!). The Heritage report pointed out that the key figures in the Amendment’s passage and subsequent court precedents, 100% prove that Constitutional protections do not extend to illegal immigrants.
The words “subject to the jurisdiction of” refers to the political allegiance any person has, which, if not a United States citizen (or in the legal process of becoming one) would be one’s country of origin. Otherwise, the children of diplomats, students, tourists, and illegal immigrants could claim citizenship for their children. Heritage cites three Supreme Court cases that held only children of lawfully present persons that did not owe political allegiance to another country could be considered citizens. Those cases are Slaughter-House cases of 1872, Elk vs. Wilkins, and U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark.
The recent violent pro-illegal immigration demonstrations have been saturated with the flags of foreign countries, mostly Mexico. The obvious NGO funding of these riots aside, the very action of waving flags of a foreign country shows a political allegiance that does not include the United States. Therefore, the only Constitutional protections illegal immigrants are entitled to are the ones offered in their own country, when they are there and not illegally invading the United States.
It is absurd that these local elected officials believe they can defy and override federal law to carve out rights for illegal immigrants that U.S. citizens do not even enjoy. Then they have the gall to charge their taxpaying citizens for doing so. Especially in light of the recently revealed (DOGE) stunning and appalling fraud, to the tune of many billions of dollars, perpetrated on the American people by democrats (and rinos). One would think local elected democrats would want to lay low and hope that their citizens didn’t discover some nefarious NGO funding or grift of their own. *Cough, Regional Access Project of Riverside County. Ignorant.
Insulting
Someone might also want to inform local democrats that DOGE uncovered millions of dollars that the Democrat Deep State crime syndicate was paying to “mainstream media” to push their narrative. In other words, propaganda. If you ever wondered why democrats seem to have enjoyed the magical gift of ‘it doesn’t matter what I said yesterday, it only matters what I say today,” now you know. It was the bought and paid for gaslighting media running cover.
That was then, this is now. The media can no longer effectively run cover for democrat lies and hypocrisy.
We remember NARA (National Archives and Records Administration) and how they placed “hateful and racist language” warnings on the Founding Documents in 2021. Not to mention the whole quoting the Constitution is racist movement in Academia. Even if your local democrats were not vocal in supporting the Obama/Biden move, silence is acquiescence.
Additionally, over the years, the democrat propaganda media has consistently held all Republicans to account for the actions or words of one. Those are the rules, so if local democrats were not vocal in denouncing the warning labels on the Founding Documents, then they supported the move. If Democrats did not speak out against the view that the U.S. Constitution is racist, then they believe it still. Do not let Democrats, at any level, invoke our Nation’s Founding Documents to justify their illegal acts of funding and protecting illegal immigration. It is insulting.
Fight! Fight! Fight!
Yes, Donald J. Trump is our President again. Yes, President Trump is moving at incredible speed and taking glorious, unprecedented action to save America. The Democrats are fighting back, from future Gitmo resident Senator Adam Schiff to your local school board trustee. Yes, the Democrats are be-clowning themselves doing so, but who will know if we don’t point it out? Don’t let them get away with it. President Trump has risked, and nearly lost, his life to save America, the least we can do is show up locally to help him, and it is vital that we do.
