Gavin Newsom and California Democrats Are Doubling Down on Their Government Failure

California is a textbook case of government failure. Governor Gavin Newsom and the state’s Democrats are doubling down on their failure, corruption, addiction to spending, ridiculous programs, further destroying the quality of life in the once greatest state in the country.

California is a tragic dystopian tale of how fast a state can be destroyed by the left under one-party rule.

California’s big cities are crumbling – downtown Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and Sacramento look like Mogadishu.

What is this government failure?

California’s high crime.

California’s open drug use crisis.

California’s highest housing costs.

California’s housing shortage.

California’s high government spending.

California’s homeless crisis.

California’s illegal immigrant problem.

California’s fake climate crisis.

California’s high cost of living.

California’s loss of 4 million residents.

California’s $231 Billion High Speed Rail scheme.

California’s highest in the nation income taxes.

California’s highest in the nation gas taxes.

California’s failing public schools.

California’s Medi-Cal fraud.

California’s Hospice fraud.

California’s DEI obsession.

California’s antisemitism problem.

California’s labor union problem.

California’s perpetual water shortages.

California’s wildfires.

California’s high utility costs.

California’s insurance crisis.

California’s collapsing infrastructure.

I saved the infrastructure crisis for the last, because on top of all of the increased spending, tax hikes, fee hikes, utility increases, and bond measures, our highways, roads, and sidewalks, are worthy of a third-world nation. Where is the gas tax money going that is supposed to be dedicated to repair and maintain our roads?

Where is the tax money going that is supposed to eradicate homelessness? Gov. Newsom has spent $37 billion since 2019 on homelessness, and we only have more homeless living in tents on the streets, near schools, in parks, on sidewalks, and in RVs lining roads.

Why are we getting hit with higher bills, and receiving fewer services?

Why are we being threatened with higher taxes by Democrats when they are spending cities into bankruptcy?

Sacramento, as with most California cities, is entirely run by Democrats. The city is running a $66 million budget deficit. So, the braintrust at the city is increasing parking costs as well as parking enforcement. The city is increasing animal licensing fees. The city is cutting park employees, police, and shutting down public pools, which won’t amount to substantial enough cuts in spending to matter. They aren’t cutting millions in homeless spending, or the administrative bloat in city government.

Sacramento’s budget crisis is of their own making, yet they are using it as an opportunity to increase fees across the board. Increasing fees on animal licensing won’t solve anything, but it will sting pet owners.

The City of Sacramento is run by such morons, they approved a now-completed 6-story apartment/retail project, with no parking. They deliberately rejected parking, so anyone who wants to dine or shop there must Uber, walk or bike. Residents are expected to use the urine-soaked light rail 5 blocks away, or the city bus. Or walk.

The futile decision-making and budget issues in Sacramento are no different than those in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or San Diego, because corrupt and incompetent career Democrats are running everything.

When California was still Golden, it was run by Republicans. The cities were run by citizen representatives and business owners, not by career politicians.

The Democrats running the State Capitol are doubling down on hiding their spending, pushing bills to decrease transparency.

All of this is socialism. Democrats love to talk about Democracy, but what they are doing to California – there is nothing Democratic about it.

Democrats think they can manage the decline; instead they are accelerating it by doubling down on their government failure. This is why voting matters.
