Hilarity of Dishonesty: Nancy Pelosi Claiming She Represents San Francisco Values

Nancy Pelosi claiming she represents San Francisco Values is manipulation and gaslighting at its finest. We owe her a response.

The Speaker “Emerita” Nancy Pelosi has just announced via social media that she’s not retiring and will instead seek re-election to her seat in Congress next year. House Representative is a two-year term, in case you were wondering – as it seems she was just re-elected not long ago. You’d be right, it was just last November 2022 she steamrolled her opponent in the general election facing off against perennial candidate and chairman of the San Francisco Republican Party, John Dennis.  Speculation abounds as to why her remaining in Congress is so greatly desired as she joins a growing list of octogenarian elected officials with questionable mental acuity. Yet fundraising for the party, staving off a new guard of potential far left-wing challengers may be better to stay in office than relinquish control. Perhaps she is the sole person capable of countering Trump, should he succeed in his bid for president next November, and she returns as speaker?

Yet, in her re-election announcement, Pelosi made a bizarre and concerning statement, which includes: “Now more than ever our City needs us to advance San Francisco values and further our recovery.”

Is it “San Francisco Values,” Ms. Pelosi, to allow overwhelming damage to our city’s businesses large and small, causing said businesses to close, falling like dominoes? Is injecting illicit drugs within feet of the Federal office building (that comically carries Pelosi’s namesake) and making national headlines – is this a value we should embrace? Pain, suffering, uncontrolled 24-hour drug use on our city’s streets and alleyways both in plain sight and within popup tents – coupled with scenes of the medical examiner hauling away a white-shrouded body repeated daily – that’s San Francisco Values?

Is the demonic targeting of our Asian community a “value” which should be embraced and celebrated? How about uncontrolled sideshows on streets and bridges? Chaining up the freezer section of a convenience store?

Women and children are increasingly being reported as missing, trafficked by drug cartels operating freely around town- is this a San Francisco Value? How about permitting the proliferating of sex offenders who occupy tent encampments? The tragedy of San Francisco is being well-documented, and the spotlight is on our elected officials. Blame is becoming more concentrated and thankfully, better focused.

Some in city hall strive to obfuscate death by drug tourism together with appropriating taxpayers’ money unaccountably funding homelessness outreach nonprofits- and the resulting horrific scenes scattered around San Francisco. Elected officials’ rabidly defend of this inhumane, catastrophic action by pretending it’s all overblown and many ignore the issue altogether.

Tourist dollars are one vital source of city revenue, so important and fundamental to San Francisco that a new tourist bureau chief has been hired in attempts to change the doom narrative and attract more tourists.

Immigrants to San Francisco make up a high percentage of the city’s mom-and-pop shops. Cafés, desserts shops, convenience stores, clothing stores have all been hit by thieves on a nearly constant basis, causing many owners to give up and close shop. I don’t recall destruction of small business being a San Francisco Value. Mounting evidence shows the combination of feces, urine, and residue of drugs consumed on the streets is making is way to our city’s ocean and bay, creating a hazardous waste situation; is this a San Francisco Value?

Each two-year election cycle in which Nancy Pelosi has participated – nearly 35 years – she has lately won re-election by huge numbers, in the 80 percentile and more. Yes, she is adored. Although true her position is one of representation in Congress on the federal level, its become exceedingly obvious she has the clout and the pulpit to muster the resources and attention to city hall officials to fix myriad issues; instead, its her own hometown she’s allowed to collapse. Her endorsement by virtually every political party club is virtually guaranteed (save the toothless and in-disarray local Republican Party). The love of Nancy by local voters far surpasses the realities of the disaster right in her own back yard. And this is the conundrum; how can San Francisco’s voters continue to approve of and re-elect Pelosi while garbage, bio-hazardous waste and corrupting of actual San Francisco Values continues unabated during her watch?

For an individual to have an almost limitless and unimaginable amount of political support and financial resources available, and said individual be able to meaningfully address the disaster which has plagued San Francico, yet to not do so, or to make the nearly insignificant amount of change and then expect to be overwhelmingly re-elected simply through favoritism and ass-kissing by local San Francisco political clubs, Nancy Pelosi personifies the biggest travesty of elected leadership one can imagine in our lifetime. She will be, justifiably, linked to the failure to protect and preserve San Franciscans’ lives, property and overall, our safety. Its no joke- she’s been dishonest, manipulative and gaslighting. Next year, voters should take a hard look at Nancy Pelosi and reconsider if she deserves to once again be presented with a Queen tiara.
