Rep Dave Min Refuses to Remove Debunked Post Claiming Kirk Assassin Was ‘MAGA’

Min and his office have avoided questions from the press, refusing to provide comment

On September 12, two days after Charlie Kirk was assassinated and prior to having the facts regarding the assassin’s motives, background, or political leanings, Congressman David Min (CA-47) recklessly claimed that the assassin “has been identified as MAGA.”

The following day, on September 13, the Wall Street Journal published an interview with Utah Governor Spencer Cox (R) who said the alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, 22, was “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology.”

Yesterday, Utah prosecutors outlined the evidence that entirely debunks Min’s accusation and corroborates Governor Cox’s claim, presenting charges against Robinson that could result in the death penalty if convicted.

The evidence included statements from Robinson’s mom who told investigators that their son had turned left politically in the last year and became more supportive of gay and transgender rights.

It is also known that Robinson was living with a man who was transitioning to a woman. Robinson is believed to have been in a relationship with him, but that has yet to be confirmed by authorities.

Prosecutors also presented text messages revealing that Robinson told his alleged partner about his intent to kill Kirk, stating, “I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out.” Robinson’s partner is cooperating with the investigation.

Engraved bullet casings with radical-left messages included, ” Hey fascist! CATCH!!!,” and “Oh bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao” a reference to an anti-fascist, anti-Nazi Italian song adopted by Antifa, Occupy Wallstreet, and other radical-left agitators.

Despite the mountain of evidence debunking Min’s false claim that Robinson was MAGA, the post remains on his X account and has garnered two million views.

When a reporter approached Min to ask him about his post, Min refused to answer and hurriedly walk away while engrossed in his iPhone screensaver. His office has refused to provide comment.

Yesterday, FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that the bureau is looking at “anyone and everyone” involved with Robinson.

The AP reports:

FBI Director Kash Patel said Tuesday that agents are looking at “anyone and everyone” who was involved in a gaming chatroom on the social media platform Discord with Robinson. The chatroom involved “a lot more” than 20 people, he said during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in Washington.

“We are investigating Charlie’s assassination fully and completely and running out every lead related to any allegation of broader violence,” Patel said in response to a question about whether the Kirk shooting was being treated as part of a broader trend of violence against religious groups.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna confirmed that “Armed Queers SLC” is also under FBI investigation for potential ties to Tyler Robinson and that congress is “taking aim at billionaires bankrolling left-wing ‘hate campaigns’ following Kirk’s assassination.”

Narrowly elected in 2024, this isn’t the first time Min has faced backlash over his congressional social media rhetoric. In January, Min accused Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt of being a “fake Christian.”

Since Kirk’s assassination, numerous Democrats have repeated Min’s latest lie and have amplified their divisive rhetoric.

Last night, Min’s fellow Democrat loud-mouth and ABC late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel also falsely accused Robinson of being a MAGA supporter during his monologue, which caught the eye of FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr. In an interview with conservative influencer Benny Johnson, Carr called Kimmel’s claims “truly sick” and said they should result in Kimmel’s immediate suspension and may lead to ABC/Disney losing its broadcast license.

“This is a very, very serious issue right now for Disney. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. These companies can find ways to take action on Kimmel or there is going to be additional work for the FCC ahead,” Carr warned.

“Unhinged lunatic Dave Min keeps proving he’s a reckless, disgraceful, and pathetic excuse for a Congressman,” NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez said in a statement. “It’s long past time for him to take responsibility and apologize, but he’s too out of touch to comprehend the devastating consequences of his dangerous rhetoric.”

Update 5:12 PM: ABC has indefinitely pulled Jimmy Kimmel off air for Charlie Kirk comments.

  1. Goebbels propaganda – Min is just another lemming to his lord masters DNC
He does nothing but lie, make you wonder if his allegiance is to a foreign country

  3. He is like a petulant child!
These demons always double down when challenged with the truth !
Vote him our when the time comes.

  4. Should have asked “Congressman Min…How does your mother feel about raising a liar?” or “Did all your mother’s kids turn out to be liars?”

  5. Maybe a shady drunken old Democrat like Rep. Min who recklessly lies to his constituents should be recalled by California voters? He vulnerable having narrowly defeating Republican nominee Scott Baugh in the 2024 election for California’s 47th congressional district. Min initially trailed Baugh on election night, with Baugh taking a 1% lead late on November 5, 2024 but Min ultimately prevailed until enough votes were counted (or created).

  6. Maybe a drunken old Democrat like Rep. Min who recklessly lies to his constituents should be recalled by California voters? He is vulnerable in California’s 47th congressional district because he only narrowly defeated Republican nominee Scott Baugh in the 2024 election. Min trailed Baugh on election night November 5, 2024, but Min ultimately prevailed until enough votes were counted (or created).

  7. Keep Republican Michael Maxsenti in mind to replace the silly drunk-driving Dem sheep Dave Min. It is really looking like this guy — who appears to be a solid businessman who knows the issues and has, what looks like to me, a strategic campaign — has a very good chance of replacing him. Both because the district appears to be a Repub one and because Dave Min just barely barely barely prevailed over opponent Scott Baugh in the first place. Looks like the same tired pattern of election cheating to me, as TJ accurately pointed out above.
With high enough turnout this guy has the potential to win the seat.

  8. Some fools will say and do anything to keep their name in the headlines. We need to pass a bill that REQUIRES vetting of candidates before they have a chance to cheat and lie their way into a seat of power. Traitors like Min can do a LOT of damage in a short time to an already battered and bloody State like California. I find peace in knowing that Min will have to answer to a much higher power in the end.
