US DOJ Civil Rights Letter Warning: Elections Officials in all 50 States Subject to Criminal Prosecution if Noncitizens Vote

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon of the Civil Rights Division sent letters Tuesday to election officials in all 50 states and Washington D.C. warning that state and local officials could face criminal prosecution if they knowingly allow noncitizen voting.

AG Dhillon said in an interview earlier Wednesday that the left used to insist that there is NO voter fraud. Then they moved the goal posts and now claim there’s no significant voter fraud.
“If one person votes illegally and cancels out my vote, that’s pretty significant,” Dhillon said.
The DOJ will prosecute elections officials who:
- Retain non-citizens on statewide voter registration lists (SVRLs).
- Facilitate non-citizens receiving or casting ballots in federal elections.
- Fail to maintain “clean” voter lists as required by federal law.
A DOJ spokesperson said, “The Department sent these letters to all 50 states and the District of Columbia, asking for voluntary compliance in a timely manner with their obligations under federal law to ensure only citizens vote in federal elections.”
Officials have 5 days to respond explaining their compliance with federal voter eligibility laws including the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), and Help America Vote Act (HAVA).
The letters cite potential liability for “aiding and abetting” non-citizen voting, or depriving citizens of a fair election process.
While Dhillon said the DOJ is helping states clean up their voter rolls, but it’s almost a full time endeavor, to do this right by the November General Election, this appropriately escalates ongoing DOJ efforts to access voter rolls, pursue interagency data-sharing (e.g., with DHS for citizenship verification), and enforce list maintenance.
The Civil Rights Division’s Voting Section enforces civil provisions of voting laws, while criminal prosecution for fraud or interference falls under federal statutes (e.g., via the Criminal Division or U.S. Attorneys). This includes actions against officials who obstruct proper roll cleanup.
The letter concluded:
In conclusion, any election officer, including the chief election officer of the state, who knowingly retains noncitizens on the state’s SVRL or facilitates noncitizens in receiving and casting ballots could be subject to criminal liability. An intentional act that is aimed at diluting the votes of citizens could also constitute a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 241, which makes it unlawful for two or more persons to conspire to injure any person in the exercise of that person’s constitutional rights. It’s about time.
Appreciate that Harmeet Dhillon is laying down the law (again) regarding our precious, sacred, and hard-won vote, which has been more than brutalized over many years adding up to decades. It means nothing to the power-mad commies who have no respect for ANYTHING. Let’s hope and pray that the states do what they are supposed to do instead of just ignore, ignore, and if they do ignore then let’s hope and pray those responsible for the multi-year foot-dragging receive the consequences they must receive. Election integrity MUST BE RESTORED NOW.

I hope this is more than just chest-pounding. It’s unfathomable, even if you’re a democrat, to think that the election process has not been assaulted by devious means. The mass migration and the harboring of illegal aliens, distributed wherever voters are needed is criminal. The left screams that deportation is shades of inhuman but what they don’t cop to is that they are using these hapless individuals as pawns in their power play. Pretty inhuman in my mind. I guess the left assuages any of their guilt by providing free benefits to the masses at the threat of near bankruptcy to MediCal!
It is painfully obvious that states like Michigan and California are wildly out of control. California’s governor has attempted to defer the focus on bogus ballots to personality conflict but all across the board, California elections are tainted. No, that’s too polite a term. California elections are crooked. Hmmmm. Still weak.
California’s refusal to provide the voter roles should be a crime itself regardless of the results of the cleansing enema that is needed. California politics have been fueled by incestuous power players acting completely ‘Above the Law’ .
Hopefully the DOJ is serious about returning validity to elections. I hope their investigations don’t fall short of the mark and reveal and prosecute all aspects of the crime. Who authorized China to manufacture the fake CA driver’s licenses distributed to illegal aliens? Who is printing the bogus ballots and how are they being shipped? When judges fail to endorse the laws, can we round them up too? We don’t want judges fouled with preconceived (and likely paid-for) rulings. The DOJ needs to be exacting in their efforts so those suffering from DTS see clearly these are crimes originated In California, by California elitist politicians with their end game to completely control all aspects of California life and livliehoods.
Next lets get the IRS busy on Bonta, Beccerra and of course his Newsom-ness, his wife and if the world were perfect, Paul and Nancy Pelosi.
