Fearful of Successful Newsom Recall Campaign, LA Times Trashes Organizers
Article serves to demonstrate the obvious fear Newsom and advisors have of a recall election

With over 1.2 million signed RecallGavin2020 petitions already collected, and tens of thousands more arriving daily, it is apparent to any honest political observer that the recall campaign of California Governor Gavin Newsom will likely take place. As such, this is also making Newsom and his closest advisors reportedly uncomfortable – no one wants to be the messenger delivering the bad news that their governor is close to being ousted – especially to a governor known for throwing things at the people around him.
Californians from all walks of life, socio-economic status, culture, and political affiliation have signed the recall, which may be the real fear the governor’s team and media has.
However, never fear, the mainstream media arm of the Democrat Party is here to run interference for the governor.
In what can only be called a “hatchet job,” the Los Angeles Times published an article Sunday designed to destroy the character and public reputations of the RecallGavin2020 campaign and supporters.
“A Times investigation found that recall campaign leaders, seeking to capitalize on the darkening public mood, allied with radical and extreme elements early on to help collect signatures,” the Los Angeles Times reported. “Those included groups promoting distrust of government, science and medicine; peddlers of QAnon doomsday conspiracies; ‘patriots’ readying for battle and one organization allied with the far-right extremist group, the Proud Boys.”
QAnon and the Proud Boys are meant to trigger hysteria similar to the KKK. Never mind the pass Antifa and BLM have been given by media and local Democrat Mayors and governments over actual violence, rioting, destruction and even murder in cities across America the last 10 months.
“The recall gave those fringe factions a higher profile and a shared villain,” the Times continued. “They helped energize the campaign with large and often inflammatory rallies over masks, in support of Trump and against the election they falsely say was stolen from the former president — ripe venues to harvest petition signatures.”
It was just last week that California Democratic Party chairman Rusty Hicks called the effort to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom a “coup” attempt and “treason” by extremists, radicals, white nationalists and armed insurrectionists, as the Globe reported. Hicks elucidated: “This recall effort, which really ought to be called the California coup, is led by right wing conspiracy theorists, white nationalists, anti-vaxxers and groups who encourage violence on our democratic institutions.”
Randy Economy, Senior Advisor and media spokesman for RecallGavin2020.com sent the Globe the official RecallGavin2020.com statement responding to the LA Times hit piece. Economy and the campaign had plenty to say about the media smear, and rather obvious advocacy of the governor by the media.
On Sunday, January 24, 2021 the Los Angeles Times published a news article “Recall Newsom effort has ties to far-right movements, including QAnon, and virus skeptics.”
With the recall gaining steam and 1.2 million signatures already gathered, some in the press have launched a campaign of their own to smear and attack individual recall volunteers.
The Los Angeles Times has sunk to an all-time low in its bias coverage of the official recall campaign, to create a divisive and polarizing narrative. The article is an obvious attempt to stifle progress, distract the public and bully others from getting involved.
Good, hardworking and dedicated volunteers from all walks of life, political backgrounds and socio-economic levels are laser focused on the task at hand, and that is the successful removal of California Governor Gavin Newsom from office in 2021.
Such biased journalism that was authored by political activist reporters Anita Chabria and Paige St. John is harmful to the democratic process in which people are merely exercising their rights guaranteed them by the constitution.
Californians from all walks of life have signed the petition for personal reasons of their own, which have nothing to do with the personal beliefs of any individual member. This movement is about bad policies and fixing a broken system, not individual personalities. When successful, the recall will trigger a special election later this Summer and Californians will have an opportunity to choose a new Governor.
RecallGavin2020.com is a peaceful, nonpartisan movement and has many active volunteers. Everyone involved is entitled to their own personal opinions, that is what a Democracy is all about. We decry all aspects of racism and hate. We denounce any individual or group who engages in acts of violence, vandalism, or make threats on any level.

While the LA Times authors may have personal political issues with the recall of Gov. Gavin Newsom, the article really serves to demonstrate the obvious fear Newsom and his advisors have of a recall election.
Apparently students of Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, the LA Times did hone in on three key tactics:
RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.”
RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
But that is all they have.
“You cannot control a movement,” said Economy. “It’s not our job to manage what somebody says about the recall at a public event.”
Boom.

Such unwavering support, would be impressive if we didn’t know how much LAT sucks, and speaking of sucking his begs the question who swallowed? All jokes aside the happy ending will be our restored freedoms.
The closer we are to the target, the more flak we are gonna take…
Paraphrasing my beloved, departed Uncle who was a WWII bombardier…
When will LA Times investigate the 2020 early release of prisoner’s and the recent murders and hospitalization of Sacramento County law enforcement? These officers died within 9 miles from Governor Newsoms home. When will he take responsibility for the violent crimes these parolees he released have committed?
When will LA Times hold up the spotlight?
Dawn, the answer is NEVER. Corrupt.
As soon as the goons invade their Gated Communities!
The LA Times is delivered to our driveway every Sunday in rural San Diego County. We have never asked for it on a trial basis or subscribed to it. I have an absolute revulsion for both the LA Times and the SD Union Tribune. The only purpose I find for the paper is under our toilet plungers.
I saw on YouTube where you can mix newspaper with concrete and make light-but-strong bricks for building things, so there’s that…
What frightens the L.A. Times and others who mock, mis-characterize, and attempt to marginalize the people in the recall movement is that the movement is composed of Californians from every political party and every walk of life. They have one thing in common: They are fed up to the teeth with this wanna-be dictator and those who surround him. They have been lied to, impoverished, and jerked around endlessly for almost an entire YEAR. They have had their freedoms, dreams, and plans taken away for no good reason that they can see and with no end in sight. Their lives have been thrown into chaos and put on hold while — to give JUST ONE example from a very long list — this governor rubs their noses in it by dining without a mask or a care in the world, indoors, at the prohibitively expensive French Laundry, hobnobbing shamelessly with a large party of political cronies.
I mean, really now — what on earth did these members of our so-called Ruling Class THINK was going to happen as a result of their constant abuse?
No one could reign in Padilla when he changed the rules for observations in the November 2020 election. Do the recall effort folks think for a minute they will be able to keep an eye on Shirley Weber and turn her into an honest S.O.S.?? No really, do you think she will forsake her boss, and represent the California constitution??
God Bless the California Globe and the hard work that they do, we need more voices like theirs!!
^^^ 100% agree….
A voice of truth in the wilderness void of the sycophantic mainstream media lapdogs…
So well said Showandtell!
LA times is garbage. They can print all the lies they want, Newsome will get recalled! He f!?@ked Up!

I forgot to add that my deceased grandmother always called the LA times and the SF Chronicle “commie.” I never really knew what she meant when I was little. I sure do now and so glad she is not alive today to enjoy the moment we are in.
Hey Stacy – You reminded me. I, too, found myself being glad that certain people who have passed away are no longer here to see and endure what is going on now. Don’t think I’ve ever thought that before. Not a good sign, is it?
This is nothing new for the LA Times, go back in time and check their reporting on Vietnam, though their lunge to advocacy Journali9sm has been of more recent vintage. George Soros has a program where they place Journalism Students at smaller or small town Newspapers who know how to propagandize News with the right slant and they only cost the paper half price, the Soros Foundation picks up the rest of the tad, it’s been going on cross the country for about 5 years I think, as Ms. \Grimes points out, they are Alinsky Trained. The Proud Boys are nothing if a civil prayer group, no crime or destruction tied to them other than being Pro Trump and getting murdered. Qanon NOBODY I know knows anything about them, total mystery to most and exactly what crime did any of them do? Steal Elections? Cheat? This is deflection and projection. Conservatives mostly want to be left alone from Government, the LEFT can’t stand that, they must meddle!
Such a wonderful way to start my morning read. Maybe 2021 will be the year free people are allowed to recall a corrupt tyrant. The next battle will be to ensure a free and fair election. https://recallgavin2020.com/
