Democratic Former Senate Leader Romero Endorses Larry Elder

“School choice means the money follows the child rather than the other way around,” Larry Elder, candidate for Governor in the Recall Election of Gov. Gavin Newsom explains in a campaign video. “A quality education is the first step into the middle class,” he explains.

Aligned with Elder on school choice, former California State Senate Leader Gloria Romero just announced her endorsement of Elder.
“Our public schools need big change. I’m Gloria Romero; I was the majority leader of Democrats in the state senate. I believe in charter schools and and school choice. So does Larry Elder — but not Gavin Newsom. He shut our public schools while he sent his kids to private schools,” Romero says in a new campaign video ad for Elder’s campaign team.

Senator Gloria Romero (D-Los Angeles) is the former California Senate Majority Leader, former Senator and Assemblywoman. As chairwoman of the Senate Education Committee, Romero authored and guided to passage a fiercely contested “parent trigger” law which allows a majority of parents in a failing school to vote on a method to restructure the school.
Romero is also a contributor to California Globe.

Can’t kick her out if she’s retired like Villaraigosa. After she was in the state legislature she ran for school board thinking she can put school choice but unfortunately she came in third. After she pretty much retired.
So fun watching him fall! Hopefully Kamala will be here Friday to campaign for him while people are tortured and killed in Afghanistan that will definitely seal his fate!

Thank you Ms. Romero for standing up for you own personal ideals and not being lead by the nose by the democratic bull ring! Good for you to stand up to the robotic expectant herd that want to crucify you for daring to think and speak you mind! If more people would open their minds, remove all hate and listen to each other(what they are really saying) we can all coexist without any entity overtly/covertly controlling our lives. Let’s keep it real. Give back the choices that were taken from parents. Ensure our rights under our Constitution. Take care of our homeless and VETS. Recall Newsome and oppose all who suppress and try to control. Rules are good, penalties are good but must be reasonable. Support the enforcement of fair law’s and support victims of crimes. Disappointed by her decision to support Larry Elder. He would be a terrible choice for governor. Stunned that she’s critical of Newsom’s choice to send his children to private school. She did the same, her child attended private school. Newsom has kept our children safe.
