Dem Left Turns: California’s Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom Slipping in New Presidential Poll

The latest The Center Square Voters’ Voice Poll conducted in early June  among registered voters who identify as Democrats and left-leaning Independents, while still leading, support for Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom has slipped from their October and March Voters’ Voice Polls, the Center Square reports.

Harris was at 33% in the fall, 31% in March and is now at 27%; Newsom had 21% in the fall, then 16% in March, and now, 14%.

Harris maintained a strong lead, capturing the support of 27% of the 1,224 polled. Newsom didn’t just have a distant second among the names listed, with 14% support, the “Not Sure” crowd came in ahead of Newsom with 17%.

Proving that Democrats have no winning candidates or even a decent bench, Pete Buttigieg and AOC came in at 11% and 8% respectively.

But the Center Square reports that support for former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg broke into the double digits for the first time, jumping 4 points from the 7% he held in both of the earlier polls.” Wow! Pete finally got double digit support!

California’s Ro Khanna came in dead last with a whopping 1%. He excites no one, and may want to sit this one out.

Harris topped every demographic category except two: voters 65 and older and respondents with postgraduate degrees – people with long memories and some intellect (not) – since Gavin Newsom performed the best with 65 and older voters at 23%, followed by Buttigieg at 15%.

Thank God it’s only 2026 and we aren’t in the throws of a Presidential campaign with this bench of has-beens duds. The only Democrat on this list of any serious political consideration is Josh Shapiro, but the DNC and Dems decided in the last go-around that he is just too Jewish.

The Globe predicts the DNC will swoop in once again and decide who is worthy. Expect another has-been rather than someone fresh, if support for Harris and Newsom collapses due to their “moderate” candidacies. The near-bankrupt DNC, whose big labor and leftist oligarchy funding is now driving their shift to the socialist/communist left, will take that as a shift even further left, opting for an AOC-type of leftist, or a run by Elizabeth Warren – all morally bankrupt. If they were smart, a Blue-Dog Democrat might fit the bill better than any of the Dems on this list – if they can find one. Especially with the shift of blue-collar workers moving to the Republican Party.

We could be witnessing the slow suicide of the Democrat Party, if they embrace the far left in the next election.
