Politics and Public Health Agencies Behind Latest Round of Covid Hysteria

Politicians, public health officials, doctors and health care workers and members of the media are very clearly trying to gin up another lockdown Covid winter. In California the pandemic never really ended. California Gov. Gavin Newsom still clings to his autocratic emergency powers under his March 4, 2020 Covid State of Emergency order, so why not perpetrate another crisis?

In addition to thousands of radio commercials a day from public health officials promoting Covid vaccines and boosters, a Sacramento Bee op ed Sunday, Dr. Adam Dougherty, an emergency physician at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento and trustee of the California Medical Association says “the virus is not done with us.”

He claims “hospitals are getting slammed. Again.”

“Though it’s hard to understand the impact and repercussions unless you’re a patient or a health worker, we are in the midst of a health care emergency,” Dr. Dougherty says.

This is curious looking at “cases” on Sacramento County’s Covid dashboard:

These numbers don’t reflect a “health care emergency.” Is Dr. Dougherty aware that every day approximately 740 Californians die of all causes, totaling about 270,000 California deaths annually?

Gov. Gavin Newsom and the Legislature passed a bill into law to punish physicians and surgeons for “unprofessional conduct” for advocating for the potential benefits of early treatment with off-label drugs, or those who dare to ask questions about COVID vaccine safety. Under AB 2098 doctors will be subject to disciplinary actions by the Medical Board of California and the Osteopathic Medical Board of California if they do not adhere to the “approved COVID treatment consensus.”

In another SacBee article, they don’t seem to understand that two years of lockdowns and masking prevented people from acquiring natural herd immunity of Covid and the flu:

“Flu activity and hospitalizations are soaring to levels not seen since before the COVID-19 pandemic, spurring public health officials and emergency room doctors to issue public pleas this week to Californians to get vaccinated.”

Yet, they even note, “stay-home orders and mask mandates suppressed transmission of the flu so low in the Sacramento region that UC Davis Medical Center didn’t admit one patient with the disease in the 2020-21 influenza season.”

It’s also curious public health officials keep pushing Covid vaccines, even after the CDC  acknowledged that healthy children have a 99.998% recovery rate from COVID-19 with no treatment. Honest physicians across the country asked what the rationale was/is for vaccinating this demographic? Most of these doctors were cancelled on social media, and some were even fired from their jobs for stating the obvious and questioning the aggressive protocols.

The SacBee continued: “Winter virus transmission skyrocketed following recent Thanksgiving family get-togethers, pushing many California hospitals to their limit, so in addition to advocating for vaccinations, Drs. Vincent Tamariz and Arthur Jey of Sutter Health urged Californian’s to take a couple other steps to prevent a repeat of that following December holiday festivities.”

Predictably, the SacBee found two physicians who imply avoiding family get togethers and wagging their fingers at us while telling us to wear a mask this winter.

The last recorded Sacramento County date was 12/3/22 – one death – and was it “from” Covid or “with” Covid?

Every winter brings more colds and flu viruses, and people die from the flu every year. What is most concerning is how many physicians are using Covid and now the RSV to push control measures – masking indoors, vaccines and boosters, as well as isolation.

Never before Covid did hospitals count available beds so hyperbolically, frequently and so publicly. Now the media can’t get enough of this hype, without ever offering context.

“To keep your friends and loved ones safe and out of the hospital, we have some work to do as a community,” Dr. Dougherty says. “As we head into the holiday season and gather with friends and family, the physicians of California are speaking together with one voice to urge you to get your flu shot and COVID booster. It’s our best line of defense.”

Yet renowned cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough says the best explanation for the “sudden and unexpected” cardiac events and deaths in otherwise healthy people is the COVID-19 vaccines “We’re seeing a strong signal for sudden death that’s almost certainly due to subclinical or clinical myocarditis.”

The two patterns of “sudden death,” Dr. McCullough said, are that it typically occurs during a cardio-intensive sporting event or during sleep, Clark County Today reported.

The other SacBee article warns, “With all the mask mandates gone, Blumberg said, he and other infectious disease experts are expecting the 2022-23 flu season to be just as deadly as it was in pre-pandemic years. ‘A lot of people don’t realize that influenza causes about 20,000 to 30,000 deaths every year in the U.S.,” he said, “and even people we don’t traditionally think of as at-risk for severe disease, like children, die of it.’”

Lockdowns, masks, business and school closures had no significant effect on the spread of Covid, study after study found. Instead the damage done by lockdowns and masking, particularly to children, many medical experts say is worse than the virus.

And proof of the hypocrisy of the orders, upheld by doctors across the country, is evident:

“I’ve been to several major medical conferences this year and seen this–doctors are congregating without masks (with rare exceptions). These photos reflect my experience as well,” Dr. Marty Makary with Johns Hopkins posted on Twitter in response to Dr. Vinay Prasad’s Tweet about how hospitalized patients aren’t allowed visitors, and are forced to wear a mask.

The medial tyranny must be fought. There’s too much misinformation is coming from far too many medical professionals.

One of my favorite C.S. Lewis quotes is apropos at this point in history:

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
