Tyler Bowyer Accuses AZGOP, Democrats of Unified Attack On TPUSA
Bowyer labels Gina Swoboda and Democrats as the ‘Uniparty and Useful Idiots’

In the shadow of Charlie Kirk’s October 2025 assassination, Turning Point USA (TPUSA) finds itself under siege—not just from grieving supporters demanding answers, but from an unlikely coalition of Arizona Republican establishment figures and Democratic operatives piling on with criticisms that smack of coordinated opportunism, according to TPUSA COO Tyler Bowyer.
On October 31, 2025, Bowyer took to X, spotlighting what he called the “Uniparty and Useful Idiots”: Arizona GOP Chairwoman Gina Swoboda, data analyst Garrett Archer, independent journalist Brian Ference, and the broader Democratic establishment. Bowyer’s post, which garnered over 45,000 views, included screenshots of a scathing Blog for Arizona piece published the same day, framing the attacks as a betrayal of conservative unity at TPUSA’s most vulnerable moment.
Isn’t it weird in Arizona that simultaneously Gina Swoboda, Garrett Archer, Brian Ference and the entire Democrat Establishment all attack Turning Point?

TPUSA, the powerhouse conservative youth organization Kirk co-founded in 2012, has long been a thorn in the side of both Democratic activists and GOP moderates. With over 3,500 campus chapters and $85 million in 2024 revenue, it mobilized voters for Donald Trump’s 2024 reelection, spending $7.1 million through its PAC on pro-Trump efforts and anti-Kamala Harris ads.
Kirk’s murder—still under investigation amid conspiracy theories and donor pullbacks—left the group in the hands of his widow, Erika Kirk, a former Miss Arizona USA and Liberty University graduate pursuing a doctorate in Christian Leadership. Under her interim leadership, TPUSA has faced internal grief, a leadership vacuum, and external scrutiny over finances and scandals, including Bowyer’s own April 2024 indictment in the Arizona alternate electors case alongside state Sen. Jake Hoffman and other conservative figures.
Enter Swoboda, the Trump-endorsed AZGOP chairwoman whose tenure has drawn fire from MAGA ranks for perceived establishment leanings.
Just 14 days before Kirk’s death, Swoboda appeared on a podcast where she accused unnamed GOP groups of trying to “wear the Arizona GOP like a skin suit,” snickering audibly when “Turning Point,” was mentioned. Bowyer, who was scheduled to counter her on the show but canceled to rush to Kirk’s side, blasted Swoboda for “angrily working with liberals against [school choice] ESAs,” claiming she took undue credit for 2024 victories driven by Trump and TPUSA’s ground game.
Swoboda’s critics, including Laura Loomer, have questioned her suitability for a Trump administration role, citing her anti-TPUSA rhetoric as evidence of disloyalty to Arizona’s largest grassroots conservative outfit. Her August 2025 letter to county chairs defended her leadership amid resignation calls, but it did little to quell accusations of sidelining MAGA activists.
Sources tell me Arizona GOP Chairwoman @GinaSwoboda is trying to get a job in the Trump administration.
During her time as Chairwoman, she has a record of working against MAGA grassroots activists, and oddly, she spends her time going on podcasts badmouthing @TPUSA, an Arizona… pic.twitter.com/Kh385p5E9G

Archer, a former Maricopa County elections official turned ABC15 data analyst, entered the fray with a dismissive reply to Bowyer’s post on October 31: “It must be Halloween since Tyler is out here conjuring strawmen again. I would tell him to search my timeline for anything to do with Turning Point, but he don’t care. The ends always justifies the means.”
While Archer’s timeline shows neutral or analytical posts on elections dating back to 2019, his recent involvement in arguing against TPUSA-linked claims—such as the November 1, 2025, controversy over Vail Unified School District teachers’ “Problem Solved” Halloween shirts, which TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet initially tied to mocking Kirk’s death—has fueled perceptions of anti-TPUSA bias. Kolvet later walked back the accusation after evidence showed the shirts predated Kirk’s murder, but not before over 3,000 death threats flooded the teachers, amplifying Archer’s role as a fact-checker in the crosshairs.
It must be Halloween since Tyler is out here conjuring strawmen again. 😂

Ference, an independent journalist operating brianference.com, has been TPUSA’s most relentless online critic, publishing exposés on alleged cover-ups under Bowyer’s watch. His October 19, 2025, piece questioned whether TPUSA staged a racism scandal involving a Young Republicans group chat, citing “new evidence” of internal links. Earlier reports from Ference detailed a “sexualized frat-boy party culture” at TPUSA and an alleged sexual assault cover-up by Bowyer, drawing millions of views and prompting donor halts. A September 3, 2025, X post from Ference highlighted a fresh scandal, while replies to Bowyer’s October 31 post linked directly to his site, accusing Bowyer of suppressing assault claims by a prominent employee. Ference’s work, often amplified in left-leaning circles, aligns with the Democratic establishment’s narrative.
The Blog for Arizona article, penned by Larry Bodine on October 31, 2025, exemplifies the barrage, decrying TPUSA’s “decline” into a “Christian nationalist megachurch” under Erika Kirk who Bodine deems is “likely to turn Turning Point into a Christian Nationalist faction,” while dredging up alleged financial excesses: Kirk’s $400,000 CEO salary, $10.6 million on anti-woke pastor training, and $1.3 million to an event firm tied to insiders. It omits TPUSA’s electoral wins but revels in scandal allegations, including Bowyer’s indictment and donor losses over Kirk’s pro-Tucker Carlson stance.
Bowyer’s X thread underscores a deeper rot: the alleged Arizona uniparty—GOP insiders like Swoboda and Archer echoing Democratic hits from Ference and outlets like Blog for Arizona—exploiting TPUSA’s grief to kneecap a key Trump ally. As Erika Kirk steers the ship toward faith-infused activism, these attacks appear aimed at fracturing the conservative coalition ahead of the 2026 midterms.
The public rift has left Republicans who value unity over infighting in a tenuous position. With many of them eyeing both sides cautiously and vigilantly, asking hard questions such as: Whose side are these figures on? And why, beyond the assassination of Charlie Kirk, is this fracture happening now?
