CSU Sacramento Capitulates to Infantilized Student Protesters

The protesters are well-funded and taken care of with their matching tents, professionally printed signs, coordinated keffiyehs, and vile anti-Jew rhetoric

When will the firings begin? Why does the Columbia University President still have a job? She has so grossly mishandled the pro-Palestine protesters, she should have been escorted to her car the day she refused to end the protests.

Now we have California State University Sacramento following in Columbia’s footsteps. Even after watching the Columbia protests turn violent two weeks ago, CSU Sacramento’s administration gave the protesting students until midnight last night… and then they capitulated this morning. When the students did not vacate their campus tent encampment by the midnight deadline, Dr. Luke Wood moved the line – to May 8th. He actually gave them the ignorant, infantilized students another week to protest and disrupt the campus.

Dr. Luke Wood is Sacramento State’s president, and the youngest president ever! his biography says. “At age 41, as the youngest person ever to lead the University and the youngest permanent president in all of the nation’s public four-year colleges and universities. He earned a bachelor’s in Black History and master’s degree in Higher Education Leadership at Sac State, then a Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education and doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Arizona State.”

Ah. CSU Sacramento’s President is a Black History major, with a Masters in Early Childhood Education – which should serve him well with the student protesters. However, that doctorate in Educational Leadership should already have kicked in – the moment the tents were erected on campus.

Dr. Luke Wood blew his opportunity for real leadership.

This is third day of the CSUS student protests, with a strong showing by the George Soros-funded “Students for Justice in Palestine,” which made their demands this morning of university officials.

KCRA reports:

The pro-Palestine student protesters, collectively calling themselves the Students for Justice in Palestine, sent a list of demands to Sacramento State and the entire California State University system, which represents 23 campuses statewide. Those demands are:

  • “Disclose all institutional expenditures, including direct and indirect investments, stocks, bonds and hedge funds.”
  • “Divest from all companies and partnerships that actively participate in the occupation, colonization and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.”
  • Defend all student activism.
  • “Declare the occupation, colonization and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people” illegal and indefensible.

Where is their “basic humanitarian aid” request for water and vegan, gluten-free meals?

How difficult would it be for Dr. Wood to practice peace through strength: tell the student protesters to leave or face discipline and/or expulsion, and/or arrest?

Two weeks ago I rhetorically asked:

“Who is paying for all of these coordinated traffic stopping protests? Billionaire oligarchs? Phony corrupted philanthropic orgs? Students for Justice in Palestine? Jewish Voice for Peace? Who is behind the groups paying for this? Someone is.”

We knew then, just as we know now – the protesters are well-funded and taken care of with their matching tents, professionally printed signs, coordinated keffiyehs, and vile anti-Jew rhetoric.

Some are saying that these well-coordinated and orchestrated protests are a dry run for the November election. If that is the case, then they may also have coordinated with university presidents to allow these to go on?

UCLA, USC, CSU Humbolt, UC Davis, UC San Diego, UC Irvine, and UC Riverside are all “occupied” at the moment… And as I pointed out Tuesday:

“Curious that Gov. @GavinNewsom remains silent about the UCLA, Humbolt, USC pro-Hamas protests… but if they arrived in SUVs & Ford trucks, he would lecture them on the evils of climate change. #corruptelite.”

Gov. Gavin Newsom, who isn’t running for President, did finally make a statement Wednesday, “condemning the violence” at UCLA.

“I condemn thee!” is not leadership.

Where is his “I take full responsibility” for this?

The Globe wonders why he only “condemned” the UCLA riots, violence, and attacks on Jewish students? CSU Humbolt is also a shit-storm as are all of the university protests.

The governor should have called for the end of the student occupations of our public university campuses. Gov. Newsom is just another sadistic political elitist who only likes the shiny things. His only interest is his political career.

As for Students for Justice in Palestine, they are a potentially dangerous group, with presence on far too many US universities as their below map shows.

“Supporting over 350 Palestine solidarity organizations across occupied Turtle Island (“North America”), we aim to develop a student movement that is connected, disciplined, and equipped with the tools necessary achieve Palestinian liberation,” their website proudly proclaims.

Here is another taste of their goals:

And now we know just how well coordinated these protests really are. A dry run for November? You can bet on it – and our governor is all-in on it.

Here is another map the New York Post made showing the universities which have Students for Justice in Palestine. The NY Post also links the money stream to all of the donors, including Soros. “At three colleges, the protests are being encouraged by paid radicals who are “fellows” of a Soros-funded group called the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR).”

  1. I bet these terrorist groupies would have a total meltdown if you brought up the border fence yet there they are behind their barricades. I say keep them behind their fence and don’t let them leave or anyone or anything get past it. Hunger will get rid of them within 24 hours.

  2. As Katy Grimes mentioned, these appear to be well-coordinated and orchestrated riots/violent protests by paid Marxist thugs most of whom are not students? No doubt their plan is to continue this up until the November election and beyond if Trump manages to get into office again? With their inaction, it appears that Newsom and the criminal Democrat mafia that controls the state are all for the riots and violent protests despite pretending to condemn them? Notice that Senator Scott Wiener and the rest of the Democrat members of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus are deafeningly silent? It sounds like CSU, Sacramento’s president Dr. Luke Wood is a lame DEI hire who has enjoyed an entire life of affirmative action and black privilege who is more than willing to do the bidding of his Democrat masters?

    1. TJ, you can’t find a thimble full of leadership qualities in the group of “esteemed” leftist politicians that you listed.

    2. On May 1st, Democrat Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel and Democrat Senator Scott Wiener, Co-Chairs of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus, finally released a following statement regarding the recent violence at UCLA condemning the actions of the roughly 100 pro-Israel vigilantes who stormed the “Palestine Solidarity Encampment” claiming that it “does not represent our community and is antithetical to our Jewish values.”

As an afterthought they also said that “It is clear that UCLA leadership has totally failed Jewish students, the protestors, and the broader campus community. We look forward to working with Governor Newsom, the University of California, and our legislative colleagues to ensure full accountability.”

What a bunch of putzes they are?

  3. Here’s why these are predominately going on in blue cities. If the professional agitators are arrested a smart DA will follow the money back to its source and attack it. By not arresting the agitators the funders are left to continue to fund these activities without any recourse. I am hoping that since some of these riots were in Texas and Florida that the Attorney General of these respective states will go full throttle after the money. The main way to stop these events is to dry up the money. We have seen when pushed back on the overwhelming majority of the students at these protests fold quickly. Separate them from the real agitators and move quickly after the agitator class. In reading some of the articles on the Students for Justice in Palestine the American Civil Liberties Union is neck deep in this cause.

  4. I have little to add except a video I wanted to share with everyone here to Katy Grimes’ strong and deadly accurate piece that hits ALL the points that need to be made about this situation and with such exact precision. Very sorry, by the way, to hear that CSU Sacramento’s President “Dr. Luke Wood” is as big a fraud and a weakling and a coward and an idiot as every other Dem/Marxist who is in a position of leadership in this state and in this country. It will make you sick to listen to Biden’s “address to the nation,” for instance, where he boilerplates “it’s against the law” but then eventually tsk-tsks his finger at “Islamophobes,” knowing that he and his clones are ENTIRELY responsible for what we are seeing, and have, in essence, through proxies, recruited the army of losers and mercenaries, doppelgangers of Antifa, who have brought us, as usual, this destruction and chaos and loss (and most of whom don’t even know anything or care about Gaza!). Just as they did in 2020’s “Summer of Love.” Remember? Your days of B.S.ing the American people are OVER, you reprobates, and by that we include, with Joe Biden, Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass and Darrell Steinberg and Rob Bonta, the majority Dem/Marxist CA legislators, and any other politician you can think of who calls himself/herself a peace-loving Democrat.
But (talking to myself) we need to get our fury at this outrage under control and let these Dem/Marxist bastards go ahead from here on out and bury THEMSELVES. We do not want to fall into the trap they have set and be a distraction from the just desserts that await them — the ones they have brought upon themselves and so richly deserve.

Cross posting again below to share what I put up elsewhere —- the video of the trashing of two of the most beautiful and dignified buildings on the UCLA campus –

Please LOOK at what these worthless punks did to Royce Hall and Powell Library. Just LOOK at the destruction.
Unfortunately I cannot directly link to this video. For some reason that I cannot fathom they are making it very difficult to view this footage and I have not been able to find it elsewhere. It’s as if the media doesn’t want people to see it! What a shocker. Not. Please go to:

And scroll down to the find the video
“Pro-Palestinian protestors leave UCLA buildings vandalized, covered in trash”
As many people as possible need to see this.
I don’t think you need to be a UCLA graduate as I am to be ENRAGED by this

      1. Showandtell, I watched the video and it is beyond words what these anarchists did to UCLA. I made a trip to the local landfill/dump recently and it was cleaner than the destruction these @$$ holes did. This is the Left and “they destroy everything they touch”, in the words of Dennis Prager. I am glad I do not have kids of college age. There is a good writing in today’s American Thinker by Vince Coyner about America’s next possible civil war.

        1. John, I am sure you’re not exaggerating that the landfill/dump was cleaner than what those animals did. Dennis Prager is right, of course. Thanks, I will read the Vince Coyner American Thinker piece.

  5. Spot on Katy. Makes me think about the entire University of California Medical School system all up and down this state. And USC and Stanford. Newsom is a mess!

  7. The Palestinians were offered a state in 1936, and the Peel Commission rejected it.
They were offered a state in 1947. The UN Partition Plan, they rejected it.
They were offered a state in 1967 after Israel conquered Judea and Samaria and the West Bank, they rejected it.
They were offered a state in 2000. Yasser Arafat, Ehud Barak, they rejected it.
They were offered a state with Ehud Olmert 2008, they rejected it.
Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza in 2005 and they did not create a state

Enough is enough ISRAEL has the RIGHT to defend itself now, it has tried everything to be peaceful

None of these students or Antifa/BLM actors care abut history or cause – they just disrupt

  8. My grandson’s first semester at Sac State was nothing more than woke indoctrination into everything believed to be “cool” by our crackpot Affirmative Action leaders. “Love your differences, your alphabet of “them’s and they’s”, and include those cultural pioneers who cut off hands, throw said alphabet’s off buildings” and all that garbage. He is owed a refund. And the head ding-bat should be fired and frog marched over the Guy West bridge and off the property.

    1. Love how the first big guy drags ’em out exactly like they are sacks of meal and how his action inspires the other guys to do it too. Who can argue? It was efficiently done and no one was injured. These manly motorists didn’t allow snowflaky brattiness to make everyone late for work, or the dentist, or medical emergency treatment(!), on THAT day, at least. Thanks for posting, Fed Up. 🙂

  9. It’s all Cos-Play for the neo radical chic clueless cucked and coddled college students. Sad really.

  10. I have zero doubt that the so-called leadership of these colleges have participated in recruiting these terrorists and their groupies that they now ring their hands over. The dismay is all for show.
