The California Working Families Party held a “Meet the Candidate interview” for voters “to hear directly from the candidates running for Governor who are seeking the WFP endorsement.”

Tuesday evening was the chance to virtually meet Katie Porter, who is still running for governor, despite having a very public meltdown with a reporter during an interview, as well as two recently leaked videos where she cruelly berates staff.

As the Globe reported:

Porter’s interview with CBS News investigative reporter Julie Watts went viral Tuesday and after a few questions, Porter announced she was ending the interview. Watts asked Porter, “How are you planning to win over the 40% of California voters who voted for President Trump, who you’ll need in order to win?” Porter leans in, wrinkles her face and asks, “How will I need them to win, ma’am?”

“This is more than just a conversation,” the Working Families Party says. “It’s the beginning of the California Working Families Party’s endorsement process, where nearly 100,000 WFP members and over 30 grassroots and labor partners will help decide who we stand behind in 2026.”

Porter opened her 2 minute statement with uncharacteristic joviality and cheer. She then launched into California’s “racism” and “high cost of living” as the reason she’s running, and said “we need a governor tough enough to tackle California’s issues, and be tough and strong to be able to deal with the new problems President Trump is creating.”

Porter said Trump is “deepening the affordability crisis, attacking Medi-Cal, and attacking small businesses through his tariffs, driving up costs.”

“I’ve done politics differently,” she said. “I’ve taken on CEOs and Trump officials to make sure California families are getting what they deserve.”

Right.

Porter was questioned next by a Working Families Party member, about the viral videos of her atrocious behavior toward her staff.

“When I see those videos I know that I absolutely could have done better,” Katie Porter said.

What does “I could have done better” mean?

“I apologized to that staffer and I have worked hard to be grateful and to express that gratitude,” Porter said.

She left out mindful.

A normal person would have expressed shame, embarrassment, humiliation and remorse. Katie Porter showed no remorse or humiliation. These were just words to her.

“I know I could have done better,” she said again. “I’m going to hold myself to that standard to do better and to acknowledge that I fell short and am looking forward to demonstrate to Californians why I am the right candidate.”

No remorse. No shame. No embarrassment. No humiliation.

Her opportunity to be elected California’s next governor has officially taken a nosedive.

  1. Katie Porker is simply a loathsome human being, let alone an atrocious public figure….

Just go away Katie, you blew it….

  2. This women definitely failed the temper test for governor. Her only platform, thus far, is Trump hate. She doesn’t fill out how she is going to fix California.

    1. Hating Trump and attacking him is all that Katie Porter and the rest of Democrats have to run on because they’ve made a complete mess of the state. Their weird obsession with transsexuals and more taxpayer funded benefits for their illegal alien voter base isn’t popular with the majority of Californians.

    2. Unfortunately this is another narcissist Democrat with delusions of grandeur. She is still banking on cheating her way to the governorship. It is now her only shot. God help California if she wins! So glad we moved out of state several years ago. Got so sick of narcissists running our beloved state.

  3. I wouldn’t have voted for her to be a sewer pipe cleaner, let alone Governor, before all of these lovely videos going viral. This just reinforces what everybody already knew about her…

  4. if i was out clubbing and met her, i would have to throw my cell phone away AND get a new number the next morning when I sobered up and realized what a deranged, demonic and antisocial human being I spent the night with. And hope to heaven I didn’t actually tell her my address…….

  5. Who knew the “leading” candidate pushed on us by the Democrats would self- destruct when she revealed she’s nothing more than a hateful bi$ch? Once again, the Democrat brand of politics has foisted on us a candidate (Kamala Harris) who rose through the ranks without having any real political skills, and totally lacking the ability to persuade. But who will emerge in her wake?

  6. If you print out her picture and put it in your window, that picture will keep evil spirits away. Gnarly!

  7. It will be incumbent on the other gubernatorial candidates to remind the voters of California about Porter’s actions and words. Voters are generally morons with flea-like memories. Just recall “I did not have sex with that woman.” A soiled dress told a different story.

  8. It never ceases to amaze me how someone with such a disproportionately small mouth in relation to her bulbous head can trace all her problems- obesity and anger management- back to this orifice.

  9. If you saw or remember how she behaved after getting knocked out of the Senate Primary and how she went after Schiff whining…it sucks being beaten out by your own slimy Democrat tactics! That and Schiff getting bum rushed by Pro Palestinian supporters at his victory party was great entertainment.

  10. This woman is an embarrassment to all women. She simply doesn’t know when or how to stop talking. And she is not sorry for anything that she did that was even remotely wrong, rude or inappropriate.

  11. Porter is utterly a reprehensible, repulsive, and downright nasty human being. Hopefully this will be the end of any chance she had at being Governor.
