California Issued Commercial CDLs to Illegal Alien Truck Drivers
California is the only state to not comply with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s English Language Proficiency Requirements for Commercial Motor Vehicle Drivers.

First there was Harjinder Singh of Stockton, illegally in the U.S., who is the truck driver accused of making an illegal U-turn on a Florida turnpike that caused the deadly August crash killing three South Florida residents.
“Dashcam footage from the semi-truck showed the moment Singh attempted the illegal U-turn with his vehicle, blocking all northbound lanes of the Turnpike,” CBS News reported. “The video captured the minivan crashing into the trailer and becoming trapped underneath.”
Singh fled back to the sanctuary state of California where his commercial license was issued, but was nabbed by U.S. marshals in the San Francisco Bay Area, and extradited back to Florida by Florida Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins, the Globe reported Wednesday.
We now know he failed his drivers test 10 times in Washington State, but was eventually issued a CDL from California.
Another horrid wreck happened, this time in Southern California on Wednesday. Jashanpreet Singh of Yuba City, a 21 year old illegal alien who entered the U.S. illegally but was released by Biden admin in 2022, is a semi-truck driver who Wednesday plowed his truck into several vehicles including a van and the back of a semi-truck that left three deceased and four injured.
He never hit his brakes, or maneuvered out of the way.

I’m told ICE is placing a detainer request on Singh with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, where he is in custody on suspicion of DUI causing great bodily injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. He has not been formally charged yet. Police say Singh was speeding and under the influence, never hitting his breaks, when he crashed into slow moving traffic on the freeway, causing a devastating and deadly chain reaction crash that killed 3 people. The victims have not been identified yet.

Feds have launched an investigation into how this illegal migrant from India obtained a commercial drivers license in the state of California. US Atty Bill Essayli tells Fox investigators suspect Jashanpreet Singh might have been under influence of a stimulant and faces vehicular homicide charges.

Legal status isn’t even being checked before issuing licenses. Gov. Gavin Newsom is blaming the federal government for issuing a work permit to Singh, which has nothing to do with a California drivers license.
Fox reported that California issued 62,000 California drivers licenses to illegal drivers. Because there are 19 states issue drivers licenses to illegal aliens, it is unclear if California issued all 62,000 or if 19 states issued the 62,000 drivers licenses.
ICE has lodged a detainer against Jashanpreet Singh.
As this story unfolds, we will update it.

Well if illegals can vote in our elections, why can’t they get driver’s licenses too. We don’t discriminate.

Truck driver schools in California are supposed to be licensed and approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) which oversees and approves private institutions offering truck driving training, ensuring they meet state standards.
Apparently, California has become the epicenter of shady truck driving schools often owned by illegals which provide practically no training and are essentially driver license mills for illegals. According to the media outlet Revolver, there’s a Punjab Truck Driving School in Fresno run by Indians that has reportedly been helping Indians submit false paperwork to get their CDLs. There’s also a North American Punjabi Trucking Association (NAPTA) which is supposedly a “non-profit” that had direct access to the Biden White House and that offered federal grants and apprenticeship funds to Indians who were non-citizens. Another favorite truck driving school of the CA DMV is the Chinese American Trucker Organization USA Inc. Reports are that this organization has a 100% pass rate for illegal Chinese men in obtaining a California CDL. They have reportedly trained 1,000 drivers,
The CHP is not enforcing English language proficiency (ELP) as a reason to place truck drivers out-of-service during inspections, despite federal requirements. As of June 25, 2025, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) reinstated the ELP violation—defined under 49 CFR § 391.11(b)(2)—into its out-of-service criteria, requiring drivers to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, respond to officials, and make entries on records. However, the CHP has stated it has not implemented any enforcement changes in response to this federal guidance claiming that ELP enforcement is not part of California state law. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy argues that California must actively enforce ELP checks during roadside inspections to remain eligible for Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) funding which supports California’s Commercial Enforcement Program that is run by CHP.

This is the biggest story of the week yet it’s been dropped by every news outlet except California Globe. These people died as a direct result of Biden’s, Newsom’s and Democrats policies yet there’s only a few Republicans calling this out. What’s also alarming is these Illegals not only obtained a drivers license but a Class A license setting them free on the road driving trucks that weight 13 tons or more.
That this is likely the most horrific highway crash mos of us have ever seen goes without saying. Those people —- our fellow Californians —- trapped in a slowing traffic jam DIDN’T HAVE A CHANCE. I heard a report that the three people killed were burned beyond recognition. And that arrogant piece of crap Gavin Newsom couldn’t even choke out some boilerplate phony public statement of sympathy for the losses and injuries incurred by these innocent motorists in the interest of all of us who live in this state in this unspeakably horrifying incident? Instead we get “Gov. Gavin Newsom is blaming the federal government for issuing a work permit to Singh?” Are you freaking kidding me?
I think it’s safe to say that even those of us who have been most critical of Newsom for years and years wouldn’t have believed him capable of THIS.
Apparently Newsom thinks that if he hides from this and does what he can to obliterate the story and refuses to cooperate with the DOT and is silent on the aftermath of this horror that it will go away. Actually what this incident reveals about this depraved governor will produce the opposite results. And it leads naturally to the conclusion that DMV, with its motor voter program, obviously gives a pass to unqualified illegals who are wrongly issued driver licenses and allows the state (Newsom) to register illegals to vote, which in our vote-by-mail state means that vote-by-mail ballots will be issued, compiled, and filled out by bad actors for the election cheating that Newsom & Co. RELY ON COMPLETELY to throw elections in their favor.
That Newsom continues to blame the Feds for what is clearly under his jurisdiction —- and does it in the aftermath of a horror such as this highway catastrophe —- only HIGHLIGHTS what he is desperately trying to protect: That illegal aliens are shamelessly USED as the preferred vehicle that preserves Dem politicians’ power in California.
Glad to see Katy Grimes will follow up on this story. It must be kept alive. With this story and whatever followups are done we must be sure to send them via social media far and wide to the four corners of this country and beyond. Gavin Newsom must not be allowed to get away with this.
One has to wonder about how many of these bush-league asshats and I hesitate to call them truck drivers are out there on the road with a fundamentally pseudo CDL license that have the Hazmat and or the public and school bus endorsements.
Unfortunately it’s a when and not if it happens situation and just a matter of time until we all find out.
Jacqui Irwin authored a bill, the Democrats were quick to pass it, and Newsom to sign it, to put speed cameras in Malibu after four people were killed by a speeding motorist. At the same time while feigning concern over public safety, they are issuing Commercial Driver’s Licenses to illegal aliens who can’t speak English and have no driving skills. All of the Democrats are phonies.
This accident is on top of another illegal alien, also with a California CDL who killed three people in Florida by making an illegal U-turn on the freeway right in front of a minivan.
These Democrats make me sick to my stomach. The blood of these innocent people who were killed and injured is on your hands Democrats.
It’s unfortunate events like this that reinforce voting no on Prop 50. The power that these people want needs to be checked at every possible turn.
