Gov. Newsom Activated National Guard for Covid Testing in 2022, But Won’t Authorize Guard for LA Riots
Newsom locked California down for 3 years for a Flu, but won’t mobilize the guard for violent rioters

California Governor Gavin Newsom is having a national temper tantrum because he didn’t have the foresight or leadership skills to activate the National Guard immediately when the violent Los Angeles riots broke out Friday, ostensibly as a response to ICE arrests off criminal illegal aliens.
Instead, Gov. Newsom defied President’s authorization of the Guard, claiming that local law enforcement didn’t need the support. But videos show a very different truth:
Then Gov. Newsom announced he would sue the Trump administration over the federalization of the California National Guard, and demanded an emergency restraining order in a court filing. This was rebuffed by United States District Court Judge Charles Breyer, who instead will hear the case Thursday.
In 2022, Governor Gavin Newsom activated the California National Guard to accelerate COVID-19 testing… Covid testing, versus dangerous and violent riots… More than 200 guard members were deployed to 50 sites to help with clinical staffing and crowd control, the governor said in a news release.
Gov. Newsom had the state locked down for two years by that point.
California’s Governor was the first in the country to order the entire state locked, and extended out mask mandates and school and business lockdowns beyond all other states. This made little or no difference – other than to destroy two years of kids’ education and kill off as many of the state’s small businesses as possible.
“Coerced Compliance is not Freedom in Gov. Newsom’s Staged Re-Opening of California” the Globe reported. Even when Newsom announced in June 2021 that he would end his COVID stay-at-home order, business lockdowns, and school closures (after more than 15 months), he also said a vaccination verification system is coming in short order – which is to say, he wants Californians to use an electronic vaccine passport to gain entrance to businesses, work and events.
The purpose of such an electronic system was to “allow” businesses to confirm that their customers have received their shots. And those who did not take the shot were required to continue to wear masks, as a form of a “Scarlet Letter.”
Remember that for the first time in history, healthy people were locked down during the worldwide Coronavirus scare – lockdowns of homes, schools and “non-essential” businesses, and governors issued mask mandates and vaccine mandates.
And Gov. Newsom authorized the National Guard to mobilize to facilitate more covid testing, but sued the President over his authorization of the Guard during the violent Los Angeles riots.

Katy Grimes makes an excellent point that the Worst Governor Ever, Gavin Newsom, called up the CA National Guard in 2022 to help him push something that shouldn’t have happened in the first place — Covid testing and etc. if you can even believe it! —- in the midst of our long, suffocating, near three-year Covid Fake Hysteria (which still stings, or rather, still cuts like a knife, and I know I’m not alone in still wanting Newsom to face criminal consequences JUST FOR THAT outrage). But now, of course —- and right in character, of course — he is attacking the President of the United States for calling up and federalizing the CA National Guard for something actually dangerous: The horrendous, violent, chaotic, injurious, property destroying and defacing rioting in downtown L.A., which still continues, and much of which, thanks to Newsom & Bass & Co. has been funded with Californians own tax dollars (CHIRLA, $34 million from CA, $450,000 from the Feds under Biden, see below).

Thank you Katy for reminding us of how Newscum used the National Guard like his own Brown Shirts during the pandemic, but blocks any legitimate use of the National Guard. Newscum shut down small businesses in this state for years putting thousands out of work permanently. As Katy Grimes pointed out, Hair-gel Hitler Newsom was quick to abuse the National Guard to help dispense those toxic experimental mRNA shots to healthy Californians over the flu but he refused to send them out as Democrat funded thugs were rioting, looting and burning down LA.
Newsom then tried to lie claiming that President Trump had never called him or even left a voicemail before he sent in the National Guard. Newsom ended up being humiliated after President Trump released their private phone call live on Fox News discussing the need for sending in the National Guard. Speaking of Newsom’s Weinstein trollop wife, the Daily Mail reported that California First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom went on a swanky shopping trip on Monday in Beverly Hills while sporting a $4K handbag. She was seen entering the luxury shopping complex One Beverly Hills flanked by a fully armed security detail, and flashing a smirk for the cameras. Was she channeling Marie Antoinette while illegal aliens and communists tore apart Los Angeles? Newsom’s Rapid Response Team angrily responded to the news story by accusing the Daily Mail of libel and demanding a full retraction of the story. LOL!

Yes indeed, Otis R. Needleman. The POTUS can still invoke the Insurrection Act if the appeals (up through the SCOTUS) don’t work. There is plenty of precedence for this……and lots of evidence on the ground that would support the riots and so-called “protests” as being an insurrection. Evidence is now being collected that foreign actors are funding these riots and lawlessness through the NGOs. Jonathan Turley (Georgetown Univ.) says that Newscum went to the SF District Court for a reason – to get a political judge to rule in his favor.
