Section 2 of the bill would amend Unemployment Insurance Code Section 3302 to include additional individuals for whom leave to care for can be provided. Those would include a “any other individual related by blood or whose association with the employee is the equivalent of a family relationship.”
In addition, it would expand the term “family member” to include “any other individual related by blood or whose association with the employee is the equivalent of a family relationship.”
Section 3 of the bill would amend Unemployment Insurance Code Section 3303 to include additional individuals for whom leave to care for can be provided. Those would include a “any other individual related by blood or whose association with the employee is the equivalent of a family relationship.”

Oh look, it’s creepy Democrat Assemblywoman Buffy Wicks from the dystopian City of Oakland who supports infanticide. She’s now pushing a new bill to expand eligibility for paid family leave? This legislation can’t be intended for parents with kids because wicked Buffy Wicks wants all babies aborted so there are no kids.
Wicks is rough looking? She looks like a meth addict or maybe she’s not getting enough adrenochrome?
NO on AB 518! Geez, go do something useful Buffy Wicks! Good thing, though, that all we need to see these days is Buffy’s name and photo to grind out the auto-contacts to our state reps. What an embarrassment she is.
