Gov. Newsom’s Climate Change Pal Resigns as New Zealand Prime Minister

In May, California Gov. Gavin Newsom and New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern signed a “pledge” agreeing to help fight climate change together by working to put millions more electric vehicles on the road, the Globe reported.

While the fawning legacy media is mourning her resignation, referring to Ardern as a “global icon to the left,” perhaps the most clear-eyed assessment of the authoritarian PM came from Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Wednesday evening, who said, she is “the most authoritarian leader the country ever had.”

Who could forget New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern locked her entire country down for one case of Covid.

PM Ardern told neighbors to snitch on neighbors to government authorities if they saw them outside of their homes when they were supposed to be locked down.

Ardern famously told New Zealanders to either get their [Covid] tests done, “or we will keep you in a facility longer.” She noted that this was an incentive for people to do what they were told and test for Covid.

“If you want to go to bars and restaurants, get vaccinated,” Prime Minister Ardern said. “If you want to get a haircut, get vaccinated. If you want to go to a concert or a festival, get vaccinated. NZ sets 90 per cent COVID vaccine target. If you want to go to a gym or sports event, get vaccinated. If you’re not vaccinated, there will be everyday things you miss out on.”
