Assembly Republicans Secure Victory as Democrats Finally Capitulate on Sex Trafficking 16-17 Year Olds
Democrats folded, not because they suddently recognized that their position was morally reprehensible

California Democrats recently blocked a bill to make purchasing sex from 16-17-year-olds a felony, the Globe reported in “California Democrats Reach New Lows Supporting Sex Trafficking, Reparations, Welfare Fraud, Trans in Prison.” Assemblywoman Maggie Krell (D-Sacramento) and Senator Shannon Grove (R-Bakersfield) authored AB 379 to make solicitation of sex from anyone under 18 a felony.
Democrats hijacked Krell’s bill, removed the provision for the age cap for soliciting older minors, took her name off of the bill and replaced it with the Assembly Public Safety Chairman Nick Schultz’s (D-Burbank).
How low would California Democrats go?
“The California Democratic Party now has ads on Facebook claiming Republicans ‘voted against stronger laws protecting 16 and 17 year olds…’” Ashley Zavala with KCRA reported on X Sunday evening. “They actually voted against changes to a bill stating ‘legislative intent’ which has no impact on law.
“The California Democratic Party started running misleading ads on the fight over whether it should be a felony to buy 16/17 year olds for sex. Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas’ campaign pushed them. No comment yet from the party chair, Rusty Hicks.”
It was really ugly, and shameless, and abhhorant, and just unspeakable behavior. I’d like to know which Democrat hatched this plan, and which Democrats agreed that this was okay.
However, we just received word from Assembly Republicans that Democrats are capitulating, as they did last year with Senator Shannon Grove’s bill SB 14 to make child sex trafficking a felony once again in the state, after they killed it in committee. They were lambasted across the state for being so heinous, so out of touch, and so supportive of criminals.
It seems the bad press got to them again.
Assembly Republicans share the good news:
After weeks of public outcry and sustained pressure from Assembly Republicans, Democratic leaders announced they will reverse course on AB 379 and restore automatic felony charges for adults who solicit sex from 16- and 17-year-olds.
Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher issued the following statement:
“This is another big win for common sense, brought to you by Assembly Republicans. I want to thank the people of California for helping us stand up to the radical Left and deliver another victory for public safety. I also applaud Assemblymember Maggy Krell for her courageous stand and her willingness to push the envelope within her caucus.”
Assembly Republicans forced the majority party to backpedal after Democrats initially blocked tougher penalties for those who purchase or solicit sex. The change comes after Republicans rallied public support to protect exploited minors.
Assembly Republicans will continue pushing for policies that put the safety of children first and ensure predators face real consequences.
“The Globe has been saying for several years now that the stupid people are in charge of everything in California, and they proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt this week,” we said last week. “They also proved that they will say and do anything for money, because no actual human with a soul could advocate for policies that harm children the way purschasing sex from teenagers does.”
It’s good to know that with enough bad press and a lot of very critical public pressure, Democrats will fold – not because they suddently recognized that their position was morally reprehensible – but because their reputations can’t take the hit, and that’s far more important to Democrats.

If Democrat Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas’ campaign pushed for the misleading ads, then he and his staff probably approved those ads? No doubt Democrat Assembly Public Safety Chairman Nick Schultz who authored the revised bill that removed the provision for the age cap for soliciting older minors probably knew about the ads as well as did California DNC party chair, Rusty Hicks?
Maybe California Globe should have include their mug shots along with the article? They’re shameful? Democrat Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas is especially devious with his soulless dark eyes that exude evil.

What was the vote? Should have been unanimous. Perhaps the Globe can publish a list of the pedophile lovers who voted against this bill?

Just when you think the Democrats couldn’t sink any lower they prove you wrong. No wonder their approval ratings are falling off the cliff. Sadly, this won’t change anything in this state because the majority voters here are still too stupid, uninformed and brainwashed to do anything about it.
Uninformed voters aren’t the only cause of one party rule in CA. Election fraud is rampant, and until that is addressed and remedied, CA will always be ruled by the communists.
If it weren’t for democrat “oversight” (control) of elections, they wouldn’t have the advantage that they abuse today. Newsom wouldn’t have survived his own recall election either.
The people voting in committee to remove this protection should still be named and shamed. In fact, those doing this the prior time too, should also be added to the list. Why let them cower and hide because they were outed? This goes to show you where their minds/hearts are when they think nobody is looking.
Time to hold them accountable for even trying to promote lowered standards for trafficking kids.
