Democrats Will Pay for Overplaying Their Hand in California Elections

Dems ‘have fomented total unified visceral utter disgust’

By Katy Grimes, June 8, 2026 3:00 pm

One week ago in California, there was a Primary Election. Voters were excited for this Primary election because for the first time in nearly 20 years, there were other candidates besides the permanent political establishment or deep staters on the ballot.

The race for Los Angeles Mayor was turning out to be a real race – new to politics outsider Spencer Pratt, versus deep state insider and communist Karen Bass, with LA City Councilwomen and fellow communist Nithya Raman barely nipping at their heels.

The race for governor was also exciting with outsider and populist Steve Hilton taking on longtime career politicians, and a billionaire deep stater.

LA Mayor Karen Bass became a household name across the country when she let part of her city burn down, while she was visiting a foreign country. Spencer Pratt, one of those whose family home burned to the ground, emerged not only as a voice of reason, but full of righteous indignation at the failure of the Mayor, the City of Los Angeles, the County and the state to facilitate the rebuilding of the Pacific Palisades, Malibu and Altadena.

Democrats running in California Governor’s race were terribly underwhelming  and with no obvious leading candidate, it was a race of the mediocre. The only excitement came from outsider Steve Hilton who didn’t just criticize how and what Democrats had done to this failed state, but was well armed with detailed policy positions on every aspect of state government. So naturally, the California media did its best to ignore Hilton.

Still, polls showed Hilton ahead the entire campaign, and Primary Election Day looked promising.

But the races for Los Angeles Mayor and California Governor still aren’t over, because of California’s ballot harvesting and curation practices, which take another 30 days.

We were weary, warning: “Don’t be surprised if a flood of ballots come in the wee hours of the morning, or in the next 30 days, while Democrats harvest and curate ballots. It’s the California way.”

Pretty much anyone can show up and vote in California, with voter ID actually banned in the state, and voting taking place for about 60 days total with early voting, and 30-days to ballot harvest…

Sure enough, by the next day, California media was practically calling the LA Mayor’s race for Bass.

California’s Secretary of State has only made once-daily updates to its page, counting ballots at what feels like a snails’ pace.

I remember when California produced election results on Election night, as 30 U.S. states still do.

Then, over the weekend, suddenly Nithya Raman was ahead of Spencer Pratt by a magical swing of 43,000 votes. After giving a tear-filled concession speech Election night, somehow Raman gets a ballot dump of 43,000 votes?

The slim lead by Steve Hilton over Xavier Becerra was also lost, and now the gap between Tom Steyer and Steve Hilton is closing. Given enough days of counting ballots, Democrats could have the outcomes they seek, completely dismissive of concerns over the ongoing ballot curation. That is, if voters allow this election theft.

California voters have lived through too many dubious California elections. I think Democrat operatives have stepped in it this time, once again overreaching, because they never know when to stop. They have tried voters’ patience in California one too many times.

In 2020, the Globe explained how California elections were so dramatically changed. I reported:

California has been manipulating elections since before 2010, but has done so more brazenly in recent years.

Democrats passed a 2016 law, Senate Bill 450 by Sen. Ben Allen (D-Santa Monica), and Assembly Bill 1921, authored by Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego), which allows voter ballots to be harvested and counted for 30 days following the election, among myriad of other perks.

As the Globe reported, the Election Integrity Project California warned that hundreds of thousands of ballots for California’s November election were mailed to registered voters who have probably moved or died, while more than one ballot was mailed to thousands more.

In May, based on a report by the Election Integrity Project, California Globe warned 458,000 dead persons could be mailed ballots if the state moved to an all-mail in November 2020 election.

And then Gov. Gavin Newsom issued an executive order requiring all California voters to vote-by-mail.

Is this legal? We are anxiously awaiting the Supreme Court decision in Watson v. Republican National Committee, a case challenging more than a dozen state laws, including California, that permit mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day to be received and counted days/weeks later.

All eyes in the country are on California. There already is one active federal lawsuit against Secretary of State Shirley Weber for allowing 873,092 inactive voter registrations to remain on voter rolls. Expect more lawsuits and federal scrutiny. Expect a lot more voter anger.

Spencer Pratt, posted to X Monday, giving voters hope:

“Folks, we’re dealing with a fraction of a percentage point difference, there’s still hundreds of thousands of votes outstanding, and LA officials have given us the next 3 weeks to count! Let’s git-r-dun!”

Sunday Pratt posted on X:

Remember everyone…we are still in the lead, and we’ve got allllllll the way til July 6th to keep counting. They’re not the only ones who know where to find votes.

In another X post, Pratt questioned the 43,000 vote swing by Raman:

AmericanGreatness said eloquently in a X post, what many California voters are thinking today:

Democrats could have let Spencer Pratt take 2nd, then easily defeated him in Nov:

“See, our elections aren’t rigged. We let a MAGA friendly win”.

Instead, they have fomented total unified visceral utter disgust. The Nation was glued to every single count, watched a 7%-point lead evaporate days after the physical voting ended.

The Establishment fucked up (John Thune, the most hated man in America). They treated this like a sleepy, localized primary that they could manage through standard, bureaucratic slow-rolling. Their ruthless public pursuit of power blinded them that entire country is hyper-sensitized to election integrity RN (thanks be to Trump).

By pushing Nithya Raman past Pratt by a razor-thin margin of 3,113 votes on a Sun. night, they lit a powder keg under the Nation, a 11.0 earthquake.

BS you say?

Read any comments, any local national MSM or any few daring to defend CA elections, on any SM platform. The vitriol of disgust hatred utter contempt for Democrats & RINOs corruption has unified a once deeply divided country.

They thought they were quietly securing a predictable Bass vs. Raman runoff for November. Instead, their smug pretentious Marie Antoinette-esque hatred brought together — the Left, the center, the Right — a shared outrage, turned a local mayoral primary into a national symbol of institutional corruption. They underestimated the public’s boiling point, and now they have no idea how to contain the blowback. They so fucked themselves. Psychopathic doesn’t even come close. They have healed a broken polarized country, once unimaginable.

Thank you Spencer for your unwavering courage. Thank you Trump for your fierce bellicosity. Thank you Dumocrats for destroying your own party. Thank you Thune, McConnell, Murkowski, Collins, Tillis… the most despised humans in Nation.

Will the ballot harvesting will work this time? There are too many questions, and too much history of it only favoring Democrats.

And it appears that Spencer Pratt and Steve Hilton aren’t giving up this fight. There is too much at stake.

Meanwhile…

  1. 1. I seem to recall a few years ago that ballots were being stolen from central mailboxes. I did not hear anything about that prior to this election. Homeless and illegal alien ballots harvested by gangs and cartels prior to the election must have replaced this activity. 2. Since the counties can begin tabulation of ballots “up to 29 days before Election Day, but those results cannot be accessed or shared with the public until all polls close on Election Day”. This makes me wonder where the out of country data site is that is analyzing these results which starts the process of developing “election day voters”. The election is lost in this data site that is analyzing the state voter roll months before the election looking for low propensity voters and analyzing returns by each individual race. By conditioning Republican voters to vote early the statisticians can determine by race how many votes to gin up. That’s why statements like Tom Steyer’s saying that “I will spend whatever it takes to win” are scary. I wouldn’t be surprised if these out of country data sites aren’t being funded by American taxpayers through NGO’s.
