San Francisco Just Elected Hugo Chavez’s Trusted Propagandist, San Francisco District Attorney
How does a radical leftist activist lawyer, raised in Chicago by Weather Underground leaders Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, get elected to San Francisco District Attorney?
Chesa Boudin, 39, who was Hugo Chavez’s trusted propagandist, translator and advisor, “Cuba-groomed from the start, is now commanding an apparently unbeatable lead in San Francisco’s district attorney’s race,” Monica Showalter at American Thinker wrote.
Boudin, a former deputy public defender, will now lead the office he used to oppose in court, after beating out Suzy Loftus, the appointed interim district attorney by Mayor London Breed, just weeks before the election.
This is odd. As anyone who has ever known public defenders and district attorneys knows, they are cut from a different cloth.
Boudin won following four days of ballot counting.
This election has many scratching their heads. This all started with former San Francisco District Attorney George Gascón, the father of Proposition 47, who abruptly recently announced he was moving to Los Angeles to run for District Attorney.
Chesa Boudin’s parents murdered two cops in the 1981 Brinks armored car robbery.
Gascón was born in Havana, Cuba, and was a police officer, prior to being appointed to San Francisco District Attorney by then-Mayor Gavin Newsom. He was filling the seat that was vacated by an outgoing Attorney General-elect Sen. Kamala Harris.
His move has many asking who is behind Gascón’s effort to spread his dangerous leftist policies to LA County?
Radical Chesa Boudin believes in freeing criminals, while prosecuting police and ICE agents for doing their jobs. He’s no fan of the police. His parents, Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, convicted terrorists in the Weather Underground, murdered two police officers and a security guard during a 1981 robbery of a Brinks armored security car outside New York City.
“There should be a law that children of terrorists who share their parents’ worldview are barred from holding public office, especially the role of the chief law enforcement officer,” Townhall.com reported. “Boudin’s dad is still in prison so he can’t kill any more cops, but his mother is out. Naturally, she is an assistant professor at Columbia University.”
“After his parents killed the cops, Boudin was sent to live with two other terrorists, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. Dohrn declared war on the United States and was on the FBI’s Most Wanted list. Ayers bombed the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol building, and the New York City Police Department before he and Dohrn became fugitives and went into hiding. The pair eventually came out of hiding and settled in as university professors.”
Of his election, “It sends a pretty loud and clear message that the war on drugs and the tough-on-crime policies and rhetoric of the 1990s and early 2000s are on their way out,” Boudin said from his home in the city’s Outer Sunset neighborhood. “It shows that there’s a massive thirst for change,” the Los Angeles Times reported.
The media continues to refer to Boudin, Gascon and other anti-police public lawyers as “reformers.” But they are anything but.
Michele Hanisee, Assistant District Attorney in Los Angeles, says Gascón and Boudin are far more regressive than reform minded. She noted that under Gascón as San Francisco DA, “the filing rate of cases presented by the police for prosecution dropped. Gascón proudly proclaimed that Los Angeles’s incarceration rate is much higher than San Francisco’s. Yet he was deliberately letting people get away with crimes in San Francisco.”
“As a prosecutor, you can read a police report and say, ‘yes, that is a crime here,'”Hanisee said. “Now, they are just not filing charges at all. That’s one way to effect change.”
Race-baiting, faux black man Shaun King, who is virulently anti-cop, was all over Twitter with support for Chesa Boudin. “Shaun King, a prominent leader in the Black Lives Matter movement, has been claiming to be biracial when he is actually a white man, according to a report,” the NY Daily News reported in 2015. Whatever he is (and really no one cares except Shaun), he continues to agitate for radical cop-hating leftists.

How Did This Happen and What is Going On?
Many Californians are asking how radical leftists are now running District Attorney offices, as opposed to traditional law-and-order types.
Backed by millions in funding from billionaire George Soros, the American Civil Liberties Union announced in April 2017 a campaign to target, remove, and replace pro-law enforcement, anti-illegal immigration district attorneys around the country, I wrote in 2018 at Legal Insurrection. Described by the ACLU as “major drivers of mass incarceration, lacking accountability and transparency, and posing obstacles to criminal justice reform,” the ACLU received a $50 million grant from George Soros’ Open Society Foundations in 2014 to turn DA races.
“The announcement of increased funding for mass incarceration reform comes just days after a ballot measure – Proposition 47 – passed by an overwhelming 58% majority in California,” the ACLU said. “The measure, which the ACLU aided with a $3.5 million investment, lowers personal drug use and small-scale property crimes from felonies to misdemeanors, and distributes the criminal justice savings to substance abuse and mental health treatment, anti-truancy programs, and victims’ services. Approximately 15,000 to 20,000 people will likely be eligible for re-sentencing and release from either state prison or county jail.”
Over the last few years, progressive billionaire George Soros has dumped millions of dollars into district attorney races around the country. Soros has used his considerable finances and political clout to challenge district attorneys that do not fit into his progressive ideological agenda including:”
2015, Scott Colom and Robert Shuler Smith, $400,000
2016, Andrew Warren, Hillsborough County, Fla.
2016, Kim Foxx, Cook County, Ill.
2016, Kim Ogg, Harris County, Texas $600,000
2016, Aramis Ayala, Orlando, Fla., $1.4 million
2017, Larry Krasner Philadelphia, Pa., $1.45 million
2018, Joe Gonzales Bexar County, Texas, $958,000
Since then, we’ve heard plenty about these radical “reformer” District Attorneys. “Left-wing billionaire mega-donor George Soros donated $408,000 in 2016 to a super PAC that supported Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, whose office prosecuted — and dropped — the Jussie Smollett case,” Breitbart reported. Kim Foxx is the DA who covered up for Hollywood actor Jussie Smollett, after police accused him of faking a hate crime that he blamed on racist, homophobic white Trump supporters. Foxx dropped 16 felony charges against Smollett. Foxx also allowed a convicted killer of a 16-year-old to go free thanks to a local news station. ABC 7 Chicago put its investigative team to work on this case. Derrion Albert, a 16-year-old honors student, died after he got “in the middle of a gang fight and killed in 2009,” Legal Insurrection reported.
DA Larry Krasner in Philadelphia has not only exonerated many convicted criminals, gun-related violent crime is up in the city. “That was entirely predictable when we elected a district attorney whose primary goal is releasing criminals rather than prosecuting them,” Philadelphia Magazine reported.
Michele Hanisee said Boudin, in flipping from Public Defender to District Attorney is taking over from the inside. “It’s not because he or Gascon changed their philosophy. They get inside the system and make the changes from within.”
“People are leaving California not just because of its policies, but because of politics,” Hanisee said. “This was very political. It will be interesting to watch changes to the office in San Francisco.”
Then finally, at nearly 1am on the West Coast, took a selfie with @chesaboudin and hit the road.
Back to Brooklyn!
Let’s keep fighting for change!! pic.twitter.com/J4Anmd0dj9
