California Attorney General Targets Concerned Parents but Remains Silent on Illegal Chinese COVID Lab

California Attorney General Rob Bonta has opened an investigation into the Chino Valley Unified School District, which authorized notification to parents if a child starts to identify as a different gender. Bonta claims he “has a substantial interest in protecting the legal rights, physical safety, and mental health of children in California schools.”

Notably and maybe a little ironic, AG Bonta and Gov. Gavin Newsom are directing the Attorney general’s substantial taxpayer funded resources at parents over their concerns about inappropriate curriculum in public schools, while ignoring credible threats from the illegal Chinese-owned bio lab in Reedley, California.

Think about that: Bonta is targeting parents by inserting the State between children and their own parents, while he and Gov. Newsom remain silent on the Chinese bio lab in the heart of the Central Valley, and 40 miles from an important Naval Air Station.

There are California school districts which have secretly transitioned students without notifying their parents. With more and more cases of these secret transitioning cases, Assemblymen Bill Essayli (R-Corona) and James Gallagher (R-Yuba City) authored AB 1314 to legally solidify that a parent or guardian has the right to be notified in writing within 3 days from the date any teacher, counselor, or employee of the school becomes aware that a pupil is identifying at school as a gender that does not align with the child’s sex on their birth certificate. AB 1314 would have reaffirmed parental rights but Democrats in the California Legislature killed the bill in the Assembly Education Committee by denying even a hearing on the proposed legislation. Specifically, Committee Chairman Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi (D-Torrance) refused to allow the bill to be heard.

This is now standard operating procedure in California under the Democrat Supermajority – policy bills and political ideology they oppose are denied the Legislative Committee process. And then they bring out the hammer – the Attorney General – to insure their policies are followed, even if these policies harm children and destroy families.

Many California elected School Boards have argued that parents have the right to know.

AG Bonta appears more interested in intimidating parents and certain school boards, while advocating the state’s radical transgender and LGBTQIA agenda.

In late July, the elected Temecula Valley Unified School District board voted a second time 3-2 to reject California’s elementary school social studies curriculum. A day later, Governor Gavin Newsom announced he would be sending the textbooks anyway, threatened the board with a lawsuit and $1.5 million fine. Facing a lawsuit and hefty fine, the Temecula Valley board reversed its earlier votes in an emergency meeting.

What did the school board object to in the state social studies curriculum? The Temecula school board rejected curriculum which includes lessons on Harvey Milk, who had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy who later committed suicide as an adult. The left has glamorized Milk as the first openly gay politician to be elected in the United States, but he was credibly revealed as a pedophile by San Francisco Chronicle reporter Randy Shilts in his 1982 book “The Mayor of Castro Street,” as Steve Aunan reported in June at the Globe. “Milk was murdered in 1978, but that had nothing to do with his gayness, and his gayness also has nothing to do with the current school curriculum kerfuffle. But you wouldn’t know that from the Censorship Industrial Complex, which has joined Newsom by punching down on Armenian and Muslim parents in addition to their usual Christian targets.”

Remember when as one of his first acts as governor, in 2019, Gov.  Newsom and then State Attorney General Xavier Beccera sued the Orange County city of Huntington Beach for failing to provide enough additional “affordable housing,” while Newsom’s own home county of Marin enjoyed a moratorium on affordable housing building requirements until 2028, the Globe reported.

Newsom vowed that “some cities are refusing to do their part to address this crisis and willfully stand in violation of California law,” he said. “Those cities will be held to account.” Newsom’s overreach and meddling into local control issues ignored that Huntington Beach had already zoned and permitted 1,000 units of its 1,353 required.

In February of 2023, Gov. Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Bonta once again harassed Huntington Beach in conservative Orange County over state affordable housing requirements after the city council voted to challenge the housing state laws aimed at forcing local cities to allow granny flats, (Accessory Dwelling Units).

Huntington Beach is a charter city which has more local controls, exempting it from some state zoning laws, according to a panel of the California 4th District Court of Appeal. The appeals court ruled in 2017 that charter cities like Huntington Beach can approve plans that don’t meet the state’s housing requirements and can eliminate sites zoned for affordable housing. The state appealed the ruling.

This is what happens in a one-party state run by radical Democrats – they cease functioning by the people, for the people, and use their almost absolute powers to fulfill their agenda. And they use government like a cudgel.

While frustrated and outraged parents ran for school boards got themselves elected in November 2022, AG Bonta, Gov. Newsom and the state’s elected Democrats continue use the strong arm of the State to impose their will on duly elected school board representatives, willfully forcing state control over local control.

What about state control over illegal Chinese biological laboratories operating in the state? Shouldn’t that be a priority for the California Attorney General and governor?
