Deals with mobilehome residences

Division 2, Part 2, Chapter 2.5 of the Civil Code deals with mobilehome residences. Article 1 contains general provisions.

Section 798 provides that this chapter is the “Mobilehome Residency Law.” Section 798.1 states that the definitions govern the construction of this chapter.

Section 798.2 defines the term “management.”

Section 798.3 defines the term “mobilehome.”

Section 798.4 defines the term “mobilehome park.”

Section 798.6 defines the term “park.”

Section 798.7 defines the term “new construction.”

Section 798.8 defines the term “rental agreement.”

Section 798.9 defines the term “homeowner.”

Section 798.10 defines the term “change of use.”

Section 798.11 defines the term “resident.”

Section 798.12 defines the term “tenancy.”

Section 798.13 states that this chapter does not apply to any area owned, operated, or maintained by the state for the purpose of providing employee housing or space for a mobilehome owned or occupied by an employee of the state.

Section 798.14 defines the term “affirmative, written consent.” All notices required by this chapter must be either delivered personally to the homeowner and resident, or deposited in the United States mail, postage prepaid, addressed to the homeowner and resident at their site within the mobilehome park.

A homeowner or resident’s affirmative, written consent to receive notices by electronic mail pursuant to subdivision (c) may be revoked by the homeowner or resident at any time, without any fee, charge, or penalty, and without any impact on the terms of the homeowner or resident’s tenancy.
