SF Mayor London Breed Goes Clubbing Again While the City Collapses

San Francisco Mayor London Breed was video recorded this weekend dancing at a club. Sure, it sounds innocuous. She’s entitled to a life, the Twitteratti says.

But this isn’t the first time Mayor Breed has violated her own mandates, in a city that is on the verge of collapse. This is just the latest episode:

She never apologized for the lapse in judgment, but doubled down calling the party-poopers the “fun police,” claiming she was “feeling the spirit” when Tony! Toni! Toné! began to play.

San Francisco CBS reported:

“We don’t need the fun police to come in and micromanage and tell us what we should or shouldn’t be doing,” said Breed during an interview to address the controversy.

The city’s health order states attendees at live indoor performances must remain masked except when actively eating or drinking. Breed maintained that she was drinking at the time.

“My drink was sitting at the table,” said Breed. “I got up and started dancing because I was feeling the spirit and I wasn’t thinking about a mask.”

San Francisco residents were not pleased:

“I’d love to snap a pic of our 50% occupancy open floor office with everyone miserably wearing a mask seemingly for show,” said one Twitter reply.

If everybody can party like that why must we wear masks in gyms?

Mayor Breed has mandated “the wearing of well-fitted masks for all individuals, including fully vaccinated persons, Proof of full vaccination at restaurants, bars, clubs, theaters, and entertainment venues, gyms, recreation facilities, yoga studios, dance studios, and large indoor events and indoor mega events,” according to the City and County of San Francisco Department of Health.

London Breed also dined at the French Laundry, the night after Gov. Gavin Newsom was caught mask-less attending a birthday dinner in November 2020 at the famed Michelin-starred restaurant, The French Laundry in Yountville, while he locked the state down, ordered businesses and schools closed, social distancing and mask mandates, California Globe reported.

The politicians telling you to be fearful of the coronavirus pandemic certainly don’t appear worried or even that concerned with COVID, but instead seem more interested in returning to life before lockdowns, masks and social distancing.

But even worse is that the world famous City by the Bay is not long for this world if a politician as seemingly unserious as London Breed, remains in charge. The issues plaguing San Francisco are weighty and severe.

Here is a snapshot of what else went on in San Francisco over the weekend besides the usual robberies: As drivers were approaching the Bay Bridge toll plaza, a flat bed tow-truck drove rapidly towards the approaching cars, head on. The video shows the truck smashing head on into a police car.

Two weeks ago, a Bay Area woman was fatally shot near the Bay Bridge toll plaza on Nov. 18 while her fiance was driving to a job interview, FoxKTVU2 reported.

And then there are the smash-and-grab robberies at Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Gumps, and other high-end stores in San Francisco’s Union Square, as well as a Nordstrom’s in Walnut Creek late last week.

Remember recently San Francisco city government temporarily closed an In-N-Out fast food burger restaurant over the company’s refusal to force customers to prove they are vaccinated against the coronavirus. In-N-Out told the city what they thought of the vaccine mandate: “We refuse to become the vaccination police.”

In October, the San Francisco Police Association announced that 120 officers would be placed on administrative leave due to not wanting the COVID-19 vaccine.

Mayor London Breed also responded in October to the recent retail closures in the city by saying that they were not closing due to crime. However, as the Globe pointed out, Walgreens had specifically noted they were closing due to high crime and unreported thefts, and due to numerous state and city laws discouraging reporting of thefts over $950, which severely lowered how many were officially reported.

Crime is still rising in the city. As the Globe has reported, San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin,  has steadfastly refused to prosecute most criminals in the city but instead prosecutions against police officers have increased. Only recently, facing a recall election, has Boudin started prosecutions.

In March, during a San Francisco budget committee meeting it was revealed that the city’s “Safe Sleeping Villages” homeless tent program was costing $16.1 million a year, or around $5,000 per person per month.

Yet, the transient population is growing in San Francisco commensurately with a decline in tourism, and rapid outbound migration as city residents flee to other California cities and other states – all attributable to police defunding efforts, outlandish homeless policies, and the denial by officials of the crime issues.

Twitter wasn’t kind to Mayor Breed over this latest transgression:

“The beauty of being a government employee is that no matter how much she sucks, she’ll have a job and will move up the ladder. #FailingUp #Rewarding #failure #SanFrancisco,” a Twitter reply said.
