Former reality television star and Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt is doubling down on his mission to hold “crooked government accountable” with the launch of The WAR Foundation.

In an announcement released Tuesday, Pratt declared that his insurgent campaign to root out corruption in the city was only the beginning. He is now building a permanent organization dedicated to fighting political corruption through hard-hitting media, investigative research, educational campaigns, and strategic partnerships.

“Over the last 18 months, you have stood with me through countless battles to hold crooked government accountable,” Pratt wrote in his announcement. “Whether we were fighting for justice for the victims of the Palisades Fire, or rocking the nation with our insurgent Mayoral campaign to root out corruption in the city, every step of the way, I’ve been humbled and inspired by your enthusiasm and support. That’s why I cannot simply stop there. Today, we are launching The WAR Foundation.”

The foundation’s stated goals include:

  • Winning the war against political corruption with innovative new media.
  • Advocating for transparency, accountability, and integrity in government and culture.
  • Restoring common sense and rolling back the long march of socialism through vital institutions.

Pratt emphasized that The WAR Foundation will “fight where others won’t,” using the same bold, attention-grabbing tactics that propelled his mayoral bid into the national spotlight. Those tactics included unfiltered criticism of city leadership’s handling of the Palisades Fire, the homelessness crisis, and broader government failures. failing Los Angeles and California at large.

From Reality TV to Political Insurgent

Pratt, a 42-year-old native Angeleno and registered Republican best known for his role on MTV’s The Hills, entered the 2026 Los Angeles mayoral race on the one-year anniversary of the Palisades Fire that destroyed his family home.

He quickly positioned himself as an outsider unafraid to call out what he described as negligence and corruption at City Hall and in Sacramento. His campaign gained serious traction.

In a May 2026 debate, Pratt delivered a strong performance that shifted perceptions from “reality-TV punchline” to legitimate contender. A flash poll afterward showed him winning decisively among viewers. He raised significant funds and forced conversations on key issues like treatment-first approaches to homelessness, fraud, crime, crumbling infrastructure, and accountability for the wildfire response.

In the June 2, 2026 primary, Pratt led early on election night but ultimately finished third with roughly 25.8% of the vote (207,757 votes), behind incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and DSA-backed Councilmember Nithya Raman, who advanced to the November runoff. Supporters pointed to a late surge in ballots as suspicious, though Pratt did not formally contest the results.

Just days later, in a fiery “Saving LA – Phase III” video, Pratt flipped the script on a traditional concession. He declared it was “war” on Los Angeles’ corrupt machine and vowed the fight was far from over.

Pratt’s post-campaign momentum continued this week with a high-profile visit to the White House, where he met President Donald Trump in the Oval Office on July 7.

The timing aligns closely with the foundation launch. The WAR Foundation, officially filed with the California Secretary of State on June 24 by members of Pratt’s campaign team, is designed as a lasting vehicle beyond any single election.

Pratt stressed that America’s biggest problems—the rise of socialism/communism, dishonest elections, opaque institutions, wasteful spending, threats to free speech, public safety failures, and lack of accountability—require more than one candidate or one vote.

“Our country’s biggest problems will not be solved by one person or one election,” Pratt stated. “We need a ruthless and relentless machine dedicated to exposing corruption, demanding accountability, educating the ascendant generation of young activists, and rolling back the destructive wave of communism and foreign sabotage destroying our nation.”

He added: “This isn’t about politics. It’s about defending the principles that make America the greatest country on earth: honest elections, transparent institutions, responsible use of taxpayer dollars, freedom of speech, a fierce commitment to public safety, and accountability to the public.”

Pratt closed by urging supporters to join: “The fight is far from over. Today is just the beginning. We are building something designed to last, and we would be honored to have you come along and join us in the WAR.”

  1. Who could be against this? Oh, I forgot, except for the very large CA corrupt class of crooks who want their crooked game to continue forever. May their names live in infamy or maybe, better yet, be entirely forgotten.
Extremely grateful that we have someone like Spencer Pratt in our midst. Will be supporting him.
