With Nevada’s primary election just days away, President Donald Trump has thrown his powerful endorsement behind Adriana Guzmán Fralick in the contested GOP race for Attorney General, delivering a significant boost to the Reno-based attorney and a blow to her opponent, Douglas County Commissioner Danny Tarkanian.
In a Truth Social post on Tuesday, President Trump praised Guzmán Fralick, noting her strong support from “many of the greatest MAGA Warriors in Nevada, including my friend, Governor Joe Lombardo, among others!” He added that she “has the Courage and Wisdom to deliver strong results for the incredible people of her fantastic State and Nation.”
Guzmán Fralick, who has served in various state agencies including the Commission on Ethics, Public Utilities Commission, Gaming Commission, and Cannabis Compliance Board, quickly thanked the President and vowed not to let him down, adding, “We’re fighting to end the lawfare in our Attorney General’s office, stop California fuel policies from driving up Nevadans’ fuel prices, and prosecute voter fraud.”
In March, she demanded that Democratic Attorney General Aaron Ford immediately file a lawsuit against the State of California and Governor Gavin Newsom to challenge regulations she contends are dismantling refinery infrastructure and inflating fuel costs for Nevadans.
She accused California of “systematically dismantling the refinery infrastructure that Nevada’s families, businesses, and economy depend on.” She noted that Nevada sources the “overwhelming majority” of its gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel from California refineries, and argued that Newsom’s “radical energy regulations” are accelerating closures with direct harm to Nevada consumers.
She now enters the final stretch of the primary with momentum from both Trump and Governor Lombardo.
Thank you for your support, President @realDonaldTrump!

Tarkanian, the son of the late legendary UNLV basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian and a perennial candidate, is the only other Republican in the race. California Globe has reached out to his campaign for comment on the endorsement.
The winner of the June 9 primary will face the Democratic nominee, either Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro or State Treasurer Zach Conine, in November to replace term-limited Attorney General Aaron Ford, who is running for governor.
President Trump’s has weighed in on several key races ahead of the June 9 vote:
- U.S. House Races: Trump has endorsed Carrie Buck in Nevada’s 1st Congressional District, Marty O’Donnell in the 3rd, and more recently David Flippo in the open 2nd District race to replace retiring Rep. Mark Amodei. Both Amodei and Lombardo are backing former Nevada legislator and 4th generation rancher Jim Settelmeyer.
- Statewide Offices: Trump endorsed Governor Joe Lombardo for re-election and Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony for another term.
The California Globe will continue to monitor and report on Silver State politics.
