California’s House Democrats Voted to Oppose Bill Protecting Babies Born Alive in Botched Abortions

All of California’s House Republicans voted in support of the bill to save the babies

House Democrats voted nearly unanimously Wednesday in opposition to a bill to protect babies born alive following a botched abortion – and all of California’s Democrat House delegation voted against it.

House Republicans passed the bill requiring doctors to care for infants born alive after failed abortions. Democrats offered hysterical reactions and insisted the legislation poses a threat to the infants that it seeks to protect.

H.R. 26, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act passed 220 to 210. The legislation would amend Title 18 of the United States Code to “prohibit a health care practitioner from failing to exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion.”

This bill guarantees life saving treatments for babies born alive after failed abortions. But that was just a bridge too far for Democrats, who made some really barbaric comments on the House floor during debate.

Rep. Gerry Nadler weighed in on the bill to ban killing babies born alive with Orwellian-speak: “The problem with this bill is that it endangers some infants [born alive] by stating that that infant must immediately be brought to the hospital.”

Only one Democrat voted for the bill, Rep. Henry Cuellar, a Democrat from Texas. Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, also from Texas, voted “present.”

All of California’s Democrats opposed the bill.

“We all know what this is about. It is not about the protection of newborn children. It’s about control,” said Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove, D-Calif, Yahoo reported. “It’s about the nationwide abortion ban that Republicans have been itching to enact since the overturning of Roe v. Wade.”

Of the 74,313 votes cast during the 2022 election from Kamlager-Dove’s 37th congressional district, is she really representing the voters of her district? Are all of California’s Democrat members of Congress representing their districts, or are they solely representing the Party line?

How does anyone vote against rendering aid to an infant? And why isn’t this illegal anyway?

“Today, instead of joining Democrats to condemn all political violence, [House Republicans] chose to push their extreme anti-choice agenda,” Nancy Pelosi tweeted Wednesday. “Democrats believe everyone deserves the freedom to access reproductive health services – without fear of violence, intimidation or harassment.”

A woman replied to Pelosi: “A baby born alive and then murdered is not a ‘reproductive health service,’ it’s murder.”

Life News retorted: “You literally voted to deny health care to newborn babies. Sit this one out.”

Democrat Rep. Katherine Clark, Democratic Whip of the U.S. House of Representatives, unloaded on Twitter, claiming that the born-alive legislation is “deliberately misleading and offensive to the women who face pregnancy complications and the doctors and nurses who provide their care.”

Women who face pregnancy complications are not denied medical care.

California’s Republican House delegation all voted to pass H.R. 26.

California Democrats who opposed the bill requiring life saving treatments for babies born alive after failed abortions are:

Reps. Pete Aguilar, Nanette Barragan, Ami Bera (a physician), Julia Brownly, Salud Carbajal, Tony Cardinas, Judy Chu, Lou Correa, Jim Costa, Mark DeSaulnier, Anna Eschoo, John Garamendi, Robert Garcia, Jimmy Gomez, Josh Harder, Jared Huffman, Sarah Jacobs, Sydney Kamlager-Dove, Ro Khanna, Barbara Lee, Mike Levin, Ted Lieu, Zoe Loffgren, Doris Matsui, Kevin Mullin, Grace Napolitano, Jimmy Panetta, Nancy Pelosi, Scott Peters, Katie Porter, Raul Ruiz, Linda Sanchez, Adam Schiff, Brad Sherman, Eric Swalwell, Mark Takano, Mike Thompson, Norma Torres, Juan Vargas, Maxine Waters.

  1. Wow, House Democrats voted nearly unanimously Wednesday in opposition to a bill to protect babies born alive? They are truly demonic!

  2. WOW. This is scary stuff. The Dems’ brains are SO upside-down don’t even know what they are saying anymore —– or realize at all the effect of it on sane people.

  3. Democrats are sick! If anyone supports or votes for these people after what they stated, then they are just as sick! These people say keeping a baby alive goes against “reproductive Justice”?! And most of these Dems are against capital punishment!

    1. You said it John, it’s SICK all right, but I’ll bet you probably 99% of rank-and-file Dem voters DON’T EVEN KNOW what was said here! All they have to hear is “reproductive justice” and they’re fine with it; they think they’re getting what they want. INSANITY!

  4. It’s horrific on how Democrats voted but then Democrats are the party of division, deviance, death, and destruction.

  5. Everynday the Democrats and their cult of death out themselves more and more. Truly a bunch of sick and evil people they are who prey upon the most innocent of us all.

  6. This is truly demonic ! don’t forget they have a goat head in the white house. This is pure evil. I truly can ‘t understand how pastors can encourage their congregation to vote Democrats ! when basically everything the Dems stands for is against God! God is against murder !!
