Who Are California’s Winners and Losers of 2020?

We’ve made a list, and checked it twice, but there must be more

By Katy Grimes, January 1, 2021 2:07 am

While 2020 has been a perfectly horrible year thanks to abusive politicians, the gross mismanagement of the coronavirus, job loss and business closures, and the tanking of the economy, not all politicians are corrupt or obsessed with power.

However, the top California winners and losers of 2020 are politicians:

Winners are Assemblyman Kevin Kiley and Assemblyman James Gallagher for their lawsuit against Gov. Gavin Newsom challenging his emergency authority powers during the coronavirus shutdown. They say California’s Constitution has an explicit separation-of-powers provision, which Gov. Newsom has violated. “A California Governor is constitutionally forbidden from doing the very thing Gov. Newsom has done here: exercise legislative powers.” Only the Legislature can pass laws.

Kiley has also written a book titled Recall Newsom: The Case Against America’s Most Corrupt Governor. “Newsom has been attacking me with artless demagoguery all year,” Kiley said. “He’s claimed that by fighting his dictatorial rule I’m attempting ‘to prematurely declare an end to this ongoing crisis’ or ‘throwing into chaos efforts to combat wildfires.'”

This leads to the biggest Loser 2020: California Governor Gavin Newsom.

As Kiley says, “it’s all of us Newsom plans to smear. He’s repeatedly tried to blame the people of California for his own worst-in-the-nation COVID performance, saying things like ‘don’t be selfish’ and ‘not everyone is practicing common sense.’”

Now for the rest of the California Winners 2020:

  • Assemblyman Jim Patterson (R-Fresno) for his dogged determination to get an audit of the corrupt and incompetent Employment Development Department, and for his straight talk.
  • Sacramento Sheriff Scott Jones for leading the other County Sheriffs throughout the state who said they would not use their departments to enforce the governor’s lockdown orders.
  •  Sacramento County DA Anne Marie Schubert and El Dorado County DA Vern Pierson, together with the many California District Attorneys across the state who exposed the massive unemployment benefits fraud in jails and prisons in California. “This is perhaps the biggest fraud on taxpayers in California history,” DA Schubert said.
  • Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) for always being the voice of reason in a state and country gone mad, with his consistent message that “Freedom Works.”
  • Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) for his revolutionary fighting spirit, often referred to as the the hero of exposing the Russian hoax, and honoring the people of his district.
  • A reader said the RecallGavin2020 campaign is a big winner.
  • The three John Muir Hospital physicians, Dr. Michael deBoisblanc, Dr. Pete Mazolewski and Dr. Brian Hopkins, who recently sent a letter to Dr. Chris Farnitano, Contra Costa Public Health Doctor, challenging several crucial issues surrounding the state and county health officials’ handling the COVID-19 virus in California, and the data being manipulated to keep Californians in lockdown. “We feel the science is clear that more lockdowns lead to much more non covid morbidity and mortality as supported by the CDC,” they said in the letter. Dr. deBoisblanc was vindictively terminated from his job as Trauma Medical Director for John Muir Health.
  • Attorneys Harmeet Dhillon and Mark Meuser for their 17 lawsuits exposing Gov. Gavin Newsom as grossly abusing his emergency powers, since he ordered the state locked down for COVID-19 in March.
  • The 51,970 medical and public health scientists and medical practitioners from around the world who signed the Great Barrington Declaration outlining how the current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health.
  • Tesla founder Elon Musk for having the courage of his convictions and moving his company to Texas, after warning Gov. Newsom that he would take his 10,000 jobs and leave California if the business lockdown was not ended.
  • Assemblyman Adam Gray (D-Modesto) for standing up for his constituents over Central Valley water policy, rather than caving to his party’s lockstep politics. He was stripped of his committee chairmanship by Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon for it.
  • Harvest Rock Church and the Thomas More Society for challenging the governor’s executive orders imposing lockdowns since March, specifically targeting and discriminating against houses of worship in California.
  • Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, a suburb of Los Angeles and its Pastor John MacArthur, for deciding to reopen the church, as explained in a detailed statement, titled “Christ, Not Caesar, Is Head of the Church: A Biblical Case for the Church’s Duty to Remain Open.”
  • How could we leave out Pastor Rob McCoy, who resigned his position on the Thousand Oaks City Council on principle, and is helping educate people about the plandemic fallout and risk to our Constitutional freedoms with his church’s nightly “Fireside Chats” on YouTube, as a reader reminded us? And Kurt Cameron’s organization of peaceful protests of the lockdown prohibitions.
  • The city councils of Beverly Hills, Paso Robles and Solvang for voting to remain open, despite the governor’s regional lockdown and business closure orders.
  • Small business owners fighting for their rights to run their businesses: Pomp Hair Salon owners Vicki Kirk and Dino Ballin, San Francisco Salon owner Erica Kious, Pineapple Hill Saloon and Grill owner Angela Marsden, all of the gym owners who have diligently opened up outdoors, and all of the honest, hard working and dedicated business owners in California who are trying to keep food on the table and support their employees.
  • Ward Connerly for fighting a winning battle once again, defeating affirmative action and Proposition 16. Connerly is the father of The California Civil Rights Initiative, known as Proposition 209, which protects us from discrimination. Proposition 16, on the November ballot, would have repealed Prop. 209 and divided Californians by making discrimination legal in the state. Connerly put together an amazing team creating Californians for Equal Rights.
  • Young Kim and Michelle Steel, both Korean-American women, ran successful Orange County congressional races, winning both the 39th and 48th Congressional Districts. The GOP had a strong showing and benefited from the diverse appeal of Steel and Kim, and both benefitted from the Republican backlash in Orange County, after the 2018 ballot harvesting scheme flipped seven GOP congressional seats. The Kim and Steel Asian voting base also greatly benefitted Ward Connerly’s defeat of Prop. 16.
  • Rep. Mike Garcia (R-CA) defeated Assemblywoman Christy Smith (D-Santa Clarita) in the 25th Congressional District race by only 300 votes. And he did this after only 6 months in Congress. Garcia won the 25th District in a special election in May of 2020 following the resignation of then-Rep. Katie Hill’s huge scandal including inappropriate sexual relationships with staffers.
  • House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for his election strategy to flip California congressional seats back to Republicans from Democrats.
  • Abraham Lincoln, General Robert E. Lee, John Sutter, George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt, California Governor Pete Wilson, Christopher Columbus, and Father Junipero Serra: because despite the toxic cancel culture toppling their statues and destroying tributes to their patriotism, heroics, and commitment to the United States, their important places in history cannot and will not be cancelled.

California Losers of 2020:

  • Gov. Gavin Newsom for the reasons stated above, and many many more, including getting caught recently dining in Napa Valley at a large dinner party at the French Laundry, violating his own COVID stay-at-home orders. Proving just how arbitrary his lock downs are, the governor also allowed strip clubs and bath houses to remain open while other businesses were forced to close and convicted criminals were being let out of prison. In Gov. Gavin Newsom’s California business owners are fined and arrested for being open and doing business, while convicted criminals are let out of jails and prisons.
  • But Wait! There’s More! Speaker Pelosi for Salongate; San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo for Thanksgivinggate; San Francisco Mayor London Breed also for French Laundrygate; Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl for outdoor mealgate; the Santa Barbara School District for allowing the children of teachers and district employees to return to in-class learning, in a secret carve-out exemption; U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein photographed numerous times walking through airports without a mask on. Hmmm, where are these elitist politicians spending New Years Eve 2020?
  • Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly, for violating the Hippocratic Oath, “first, do no harm.” Lockdowns are killing people, destroying businesses, and harming the state’s children who aren’t attending school because of the ordered closures, and Dr. Ghaly has gone along with Gov. Newsom’s diabolical scheme since March for a pandemic virus with a 0.017 U.S. death rate.
  • Every County Public Health official involved in keeping their counties locked down, violating the Hippocratic Oath, for a pandemic virus with a 0.017 U.S. death rate, rather than focusing on helping the most vulnerable in their counties.
  • Law enforcement officials who arrest Californians and business owners refusing to obey the unlawful lockdown orders, such as The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department which made 235 arrests targeting underground parties, calling these “super-spreader” events.
  • Department of Consumer Affairs police force for raiding a Stockton hair salon last week, wearing body armor. The salon dared to remain open for its 45 employees and clients.
  • Secretary of State Alex Padilla for the bogus $35 million Get-Out-the-Vote contract with a Team Biden contractor.
  • Black Lives Matter and Antifa thugs for destroying small businesses all across the state.
  • The California Legislature, and especially Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon and Senate President Toni Atkins for abdicating their legislative powers to Gov. Gavin Newsom during this 9-month lockdown. The one bright note however, is with the Legislature largely absent since March, the people of California now realize that we don’t need them.
  • Most county supervisors who could have and should have pushed back against Gov. Newsom’s draconian lockdown and business shutdown orders.
  • Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego), the author of Assembly Bill 5, the bill which has limited Californians’ ability to work as independent contractors and freelancers.
  • Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) for being the most tone deaf, insensitive lawmaker during this statewide crisis, authoring and passing laws for climate change, racial justice, drug use sites in San Francisco, high density housing, and LGBTQ issues, while the city has had upwards of 800 people die from drug overdoses this year, while only 173 people died from COVID-19. The City by the Bay lockdown should have been about heroin and fentanyl overdose deaths, and not COVID.
  • Assemblyman Rob Bonta (D-Contra Costa) for authoring the wealth tax bill which will follow people for 10 years who leave the state, and another bill to force District Attorneys to recuse themselves from police use of force cases.
  • All of the California lawmakers who flew to Maui for their “annual Maui junket,” despite the State of Hawaii’s explicit travel restrictions.
  • Sacramento County Supervisors approved a resolution “declaring racism as a public health crisis in Sacramento County.”
  • New Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón, and his billionaire oligarch funder George Soros, who funded more than $2.5 million of Gascón’s race for Los Angeles District Attorney. Gascón ran as a “reformer” portraying police as agents of a racist law enforcement system that imprisons more blacks and minorities, and targets blacks and minorities for police harassment and abuse.
  • Congressman Eric Swalwell and his Chi-Comm honey pot spy Christine Fang Fang, in what U.S. officials believe was a political intelligence operation run by China’s main civilian spy agency between 2011 and 2015. We ask once again, “Why is Eric Swalwell Still on House Intel Committee after Chinese Spy Exposé?”
  • Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Jack Dorsey (Twitter), and Sundar Pichai (Google), for lying, cheating and disinformation on their social media “platforms,” while attempting to overthrow the President of the United States, and their assist in the 2020 election fraud.
  • Lobbyist Jason Kinney and the California Medical Association top dogs for being a part of French Laundrygate, while the rest of California was locked down.
  • Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg for pushing yet another attempt at a “strong mayor” city charter amendment, after four previous attempts had already been voted down by Sacramento voters; supporting defunding of Sacramento police, authorizing the police stand down during city riots, and Calling Sacramento residents “NIMBYs” after threatening city residents with tent cities in their neighborhoods.
  • UPDATE: An astute CA Globe reader added Eric Garcetti “who lords over LA Country like a junior Newsom. From robbing the LAPD budget of a 150 million to create some bogus council that will just fill his buddies pockets with cash, to plumping numbers of covid, forcing mask use despite zero proof they do anything to prevent infection, to buckling to the teachers’ union, to sending enforcement goons to small businesses that dare to try to survive, he gets the #2 spot of biggest losers and grifters.”

California Globe readers, feel free to add your winners and losers in the comments – we want to hear from you!

Happy New Year, and let’s hope that in 2021 California residents demand their lives back, and call on the governor to end the fraudulent statewide lockdown.

  1. Losers, those who are enabling our governor and not helping fellow Californians by exposing his fraud and lack of science he keeps touting as the reason for his decisions. I hope I never again see such poor leadership.

  2. What about Pastor Rob McCoy, who resigned his position on the Thousand Oaks City Council on principle, and is helping educate people about the plandemic fallout and risk to our Constitutional freedoms with his church’s nightly “Fireside Chats” on YouTube.
Also Kurt Cameron’s organization of peaceful protests of the lockdown prohibitions???

    Great list otherwise!!!

    Tom McClintock for CA Governor!!!

  3. What about John Moorlach, pictured with Governor Greaseball, who lost his election in a district probably served by Dominion Voting Systems or one of their shell company variants???

If McClintock won’t run for Governor after the successful recall of Hairtrap Newsom, Moorlach should…

  4. Add the owner of Tin Horn Flats in Burbank to the list of restaurant/bars that are fighting the lockdown please. It’s a daunting task.

  5. I don’t think looser is strong enough for Newsom. Out of 1.4 million doses of vaccine distributed to CA, only 335,000 have been given. This is obscene. Newsom had 6 months to put together a plan. Of course he has no problem telling the rest of us what to do. Maybe he should work on what he is supposed to do as governor.

  6. Great list. Though I was surprised not to see Eric Garcetti who lords over LA Country like a junior Newsom. From robbing the LAPD budget of a 150 million to create some bogus council that will just fill his buddies pockets with cash, to plumping numbers of covid, forcing mask use despite zero proof they do anything to prevent infection, to buckling to the teachers’ union, to sending enforcement goons to small businesses that dare to try to survive, he gets the #2 spot of biggest losers and grifters.

  7. The losers are all the legal California taxpayers the winners are all the border jumpers and criminals who roam the state subsidized by our tax dollars

  8. How can we forget about the 10% reduction in California govt pay that was discussed early on by the Governor that never materialized? Oh, but the govt unions didn’t like it so while the private sector, who pays the salaries is these govt workers, were forced to suffer, lose their jobs and lose their businesses al govt jobs were secure. Something has to be done about the state’s out of control labor costs!

  9. WINNERS: All the people standing up to protect their rights by signing the RECALL GAVIN 2020 petition. End the scam-demic NOW!! With the top of the list award going to Jennifer Oliver O’Connell for her strong voice against greasy Gavin aka Governor hair gel.

  10. Loesser’s: All the mindless blue sheep that automatically vote Democrat. Wake up and think or you will have George Gascon as your district attorney.

  11. Unfortunately, we must add the People of the State of California to the Losers list. Poor schools, infrastructure, delivery of government services, lack of opportunity (aka Death of the CA Dream), highest taxes, poverty and income inequality, forced power outages, scarcity of available clean, affordable energy (the list goes on)…
    God help us.

  12. Winners=LA’s huge homeless population.
Losers=CA taxpaying residents paying for the homeless to stay homeless.
Our well-educated moron, Mayor Eric Garcetti, does not want “our unhoused guests,” to have “their feelings hurt,” and has instructed what’s left of the LAPD “not to bother them.” Recently, a neighbor of mine saw a guy jump over her fence behind her house carrying a knife in one hand and a crack pipe in the other, and called the police. She was told that the police cannot come out unless a murder has been committed but, according to instructions by Mayor Garcetti, they will have unarmed social-workers come out.

Loser=Santa Claus……can’t talk to the kids in stores because, thanks to Gov Greasy and Mayor Moron, those stores are closed.
    Winner=??? Don’t know.

  13. Shame on Realtors association that wants family properties to be forced to be sold due to Prop 19 so they can generate commissions. 19 will destroy many family businesses, farms, and ranches, especially where land is so high priced near high population areas. It takes away most of the parent child reassessment exclusion. Agricultural land has a low rate of return but does not require many public services. My family cannot afford to keep the ranch with a 2,000% property tax increase. This is more than the ranch grosses, net oncome being less. The Bay area came to us. My family has been here over 100 years and taken good care of the land. We are heartbroken over the thought of having to leave this land we love due to property taxes.

Also shame on the writer of the voter handbook summary that ommitted that part of the proposition in the description. Readers were directed to a website to see the full text but IT HAD AN ERROR MESSAGE EVERY TIME I TRIED TO OPEN IT. Seems deliberate.

  14. I moved to South Carolina two years ago. I had finally come to my senses. What’s happened since I moved has not changed my mind in the least? I live in a state where I can live without over taxation, I can go to a nice restaurant, indoors. Meet friends for a drink, or go to a movie. In another words, I live like an American. We have better covid numbers than you per capita, and we aren’t prisoners. You all can change this, or watch what I thought was the best state of all, turn into an unrecognizable wasteland????

  15. Modern “Doctors” are witch doctors. Bone-pointing, or voodoo death, is a well documented hypnotic phenomenon illustrating the power of belief – and propaganda. There are people in Africa, Haiti, and Australia with the belief that the shaman (or witch doctor) has power over life and death. For them, being the target of a bone pointed by such an authority, can be fatal. The hex is harmless to a non-believer; but to a believer it is deadly. After having a bone (“Corona”) pointed at them, healthy people go home and obediently die. Because doctors and media have considerable authority in our culture, and because people usually accept their suggestions (both covert and overt, often labeled “orders”), we place extraordinary Trust in our medical experts and the pressitutes. And if they tell us over and over again that “Corona is deadly” and we must “social distance” it makes a deep and lasting and lethal impression.

  18. WINNER: Kern county sheriff Donnie Youngblood For refusing to respond to calls about businesses Opened
and gatherings over restricted amount. Etc. WINNER. The Patriots of Kern county keeping the community safe from
BLM and antifa despite the lies the local media said about them. WINNERS Proud Boys for keeping people safe. LOSERS; all local Media stations in Bakersfield including KGET and their reporters for lying to the public about antifa and BLM attacks and blatantly lying about the Patriots helping our community.

  19. WINNERS:. Kern county sheriff Donnie Youngblood for refusing to comply to Newdirts restrictions. Kern country Patriots for keeping our community safe from
BLM and antifa and restoring BPD entrance after being vandalized by BLM. Despite the lies about our Patriots being causes of violence. PROUD BOYS for keeping communities safe and protecting our elderly from being beat up by BLM
Antifa. LOSERs. All Bakersfield local media stations and their reporters for lying about the Patriots and not reporting the truth. And skewing stories about covid to instill fear into community. Retired weather reporter Lloyd Lynsey Young and Anne Kelley for spewing the ignorant hate about Trump and especially Anne for voting from England when she lives there and not here. Erika BakersfieldS BLM leader who has caused nothing but strife in community I order for attention. TMZ for reporting her lies.

  20. One wonders who put Gavin in the Governorship spot? Oh, I guess we know, but dang! CA used to be one of the best places on the planet! I can’t read that LONNNNG list of abuses and think that 2021 is going to bring happiness to CA as long as the governor and legislature do not change.

  21. Looser: the media. I need not say much as they have deliberately pushed the agenda for Newsom, and against the people of California. They have portrayed him as a charismatic politician with our interests first. But that is not true. I wonder if he is addicted to power, money and control.
They had no choice letting it out when he got caught at the most expensive restaurant in California when everyone was to be home under lockdown. Also when Pelocy got caught at the salon when she wanted her hair done. They had to report it. And remember when Pelocy told the whole country there is no virus as she stood in the middle of China Town. How do they sleep at night.
The media’s leftist views have been pushed on the people. I thought the news was to be bias. not for one side or the other. You don’t hear the whole truth. Shame on the people who believe everything they hear. You never hear all the great things all these people have done and are doing. The media plays into the Newsom’s chess game.

  22. I’d add Los Angles County Public Heath Director Barbara Ferrer (not an M.D. BTW) to the Loser List, who among other things, said in September 2020 she should would reevaluate the County’s Health Order “after the election.”

  23. Katie Grimes, amazing article, thank you for giving credit where credit is due. However, Beverly Hills? As of last weekend, restaurants (12/26) were still closed for outdoor dining. The City Council did issue a resolution on which I believe a judge acted to demand of the LA Board of Supervisors that they demonstrate evidence that outdoor dining contributed to Covid transmission but I’ve heard nothing since. The little shopping area in our neighborhood which has 6 restaurants open for take out only and I haven’t seen signs of outdoor dining permitted.

  24. Loser: Bishop Soto for being locked-in-step with Grusom and shuttering indoor Catholic Churches Services in the Sacramento Area.
    Winner: Prayer

  25. Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Church Chino Hills!!! He has remained open and has been a leader for his community and the country!!!

  26. LOSER: San Luis Obispo Mayor, Heidi Harmon, who encouraged, promoted and helped to facilitate and organize terrorist actions against the city and citizens of San Luis Obispo through the BLM terrorist organization.
WINNER: DISTRICT ATTORNEY, DAN DOW, who staunchly stood for law and justice in San Luis Obispo, winning the hearts and support of an entire county and who, along with his family, were attacked with nightly verbal assaults by BLM terrorists at his home.

  27. These California medical experts and physicians have been publicly marginalized, professionally ostracized and personally demonized for advocating life saving therapeutics and/or presenting scientific data to combat COVID-19 health risks, mortality and lockdowns.
    • Simone Gold, MD courageous leader of Frontline Doctors and author of, “I Do Not Consent: My Fight Against Medical Cancel Culture”
    • Bakersfield physicians, Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi whose press conference was removed from Youtube because their science did not comport to the political doctrine of fear and isolation.
    • Jay Bhattacharya, and Eran Bendavid professors of medicine at Stanford
    • John Ioannidis, Stanford epidemiologist
    • Scott Atlas, former COVID-19 advisor and former chief of neuroradiology at Stanford University Medical Center with a background in public health
    • Michael Levitt, biophysicist and Nobel Laureate of Stanford
    • Jeffrey Barke, MD, Orange County family physican and Associate Clinical Professor, UC Irvine “representing thousands of physicians across the country whose voices are being silenced because we don’t agree with the mainstream media, and the ‘experts’ who are telling us what to do.”

  28. Comrades
Here is how social justice winners work….raise legal minimum wage, hire more government regulation goons, open borders to replenish the underground economy(wink wink), lock down Main Street in every city and hamlet, ramp up the welfare industrial complex, place banners at every intersection with inspiring images of beloved leaders, barcode Vax takers for travel, entertainment, educational indoctrination, cut the “unequal” criminal justice system, legalize more drugs, rule religion irrelevant and tax their assets, appropriate foreclosed rental property for the common good…..decree private health insurance and private health facilities State assets for the common good, of course.

  29. I live (stuck) in CA and I’m totally depressed reading the list because I know nothing is going to change because of Democrat stranglehold on CA. And it is now apparent that there is massive voter fraud which is WHY there is a Democrat stranglehold in CA. Pray.

  30. So just a question from someone from a red state. Why do people in California keep electing these corrupt politicians like Newsome, Pelosi, Waters, Schiff, Swallwell and the rest? When is enough going to be enough? Or are they cheating to get elected like we saw happen in the presidential race?

  31. Copied DIRECTLY from the Dominion Voting Systems website :

    “CALIFORNIA

Upgraded 40 counties in 2019 and 2020 to the latest state-certified Democracy Suite® providing in-person, vote center and mail voting solutions.”

  32. All those law suits, many victorious as with that filed by Assemblymen Kiley and Gallagher, and yet here we sit, locked down, businesses closed and ruined, mask mandates still enforced. Goofy Gavin is still issuing edicts as if the court ruling never existed. None of it ever had the force of law. Neither the Governor or any health officer has the legal authority to enforce blanket stay at home orders, social distancing or mask mandates. It was all done and is still being done through what amounts to extortion, abusing existing law and executive powers. Here in Riverside county, the Governor brought the Board of Supervisors to heel with threats to pull business licenses throughout the county.

Large corporate grocers and retailers, and especially medical facilities, have willingly become enforcers; no mask, no entry. My 83 year old mother needs new dentures and glasses. She also has medical issues that prevent her from wearing a mask, which has effectively prevented her from getting any medical care. No accommodation for patients with such issues. No exceptions. Comply, or die.

All across the nation, we are faced with massive, blatant corruption and an open attempt to steal our birthright and erase even the thought of liberty. Our ancestors would already be organizing the militia. I don’t know if the fact that we’ve done little more than yell and complain means the we are possessed of greater restrain and patience than our ancestors, or far less courage. I guess time will tell.

  33. This year has been one crazy year and overall we concentrate our attention on the pandemic and the politicians. But let’s not forget what else California has been through this year. We’ve been through some devastating wildfires. So in my book our firefighters who put their lives on the line to fight the wild fires, some even losing those lives are Winners. Not just this year but every year.

  34. LOOSERS: Teacher’s Unions keeping the schools closed. Public school teachers being paid essentially not to work. Public school boards implementing Black Lives Matter curricula/critical race theory in CA public schools.
