He OWNS It: Gov. Newsom’s S-Hole Cities, Sanctuary, Crime, Drugs, Homelessness, Corruption

Gavin is running away from California after participating in its demise since 1997

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has a little public relations problem: the state he governs is a dangerous shithole and an albatross around the neck of all Democrat politicians.

Newsom, who fancies himself presidential material, is on a media PR tour to distance himself from the repercussions of his COVID orders locking down the entire state, “nonessential businesses,” churches, and schools for over two years. Newsom cut off access to Capitol media, holding solo “press briefings” with only a pre-authorized television camera to record.

Newsom is also trying to feign anger about the filth, degradation and destruction to his home city of San Francisco, of the world’s most beautiful cities. But all of the state’s large cities – Oakland, Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento, Fresno, Redding… suffer the same fate under Newson’s governorship.

At Dreamforce this week, Newsom announced that his office will file an amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court over a recent court order from a U.S. Magistrate limiting San Francisco’s recent desire to clear homeless encampments. “That’s a hell of a statement coming from a progressive Democrat from California that says we need help from the Supreme Court,” Newsom told Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff in a Dreamforce interview Wednesday, boasting about his new found sense of law and order.

“We own it,” Newsom said.

Indeed.

While Newsom appeared positively angry about the filth and homeless camps and would conditions in San Francisco, he’s a little late to this party. The people of San Francisco have been absolutely discouraged by his and San Francisco Mayor London Breed’s lack of interest in the city’s degradation, as well as the failing businesses, and the filth residents are forced to deal with daily.

Gavin Newsom has always vocalized concern for the homeless, but his actions never meet his claims. In 2020, Newsom said California homeless have been “failed by the country’s leaders. There’s nothing compassionate about allowing Californians to living on the street or in makeshift encampments.” His answer was to spend billions on “housing.”

Indeed.

“…despite spending nearly $23 Billion ($23,000,000,000) on California’s homeless housing, homelessness continues to grow in California,” the Globe reported in March. “According to the Public Policy Institute of California, ‘nationally, California has topped the list for the state with the largest homeless population for more than a decade. As of 2022, 30% of all people in the United States experiencing homelessness resided in California, including half of all unsheltered people (115,491 in California; 233,832 in the US).’”

“This is a solvable problem made impossible by a corrupt government,” a Sacramento source told the Globe.

Another source of homelessness in California also can squarely be blamed on Gov. Newsom. The governor has eagerly facilitated the prison early release program, letting thousands of violent felons and violent sex offenders out of California prisons. “California Gov. Gavin Newsom will be letting another 76,000 prisoners out of state prisons – on his own authority through Executive Order – violent crime is spiking in California’s cities,” the Globe reported May 2021. The CDCR expanded “good time credits” without criteria to justify early release of dangerous inmates. And out of prison they have gone, back onto the streets.

Gavin Newsom owns it – all of it – and remember, he wanted so desperately to be Governor of California that he challenged Jerry Brown in 2010, but had to settle for Lt. Governor.  Newsom just wasn’t interested in having to deal with all of the state’s baggage.

Here’s a taste of the “garbage” under Newsom:

The Governor, who claims to run a “California for All,” says “the California Dream — the idea that every person can achieve a better life, regardless of where they start out — is central to who we are as Californians.”

Who are we as Californians? We are fed up with this narcissistic governor who has failed up his entire career, never having been properly vetted or challenged because of the state Democrat supermajority. And now Newsom is trying to distance himself from his own and his party’s policies destroying our state.

The grossly tone deaf Newsom thinks Tweets and soundbites are meaningful:

Newsom said:

“California’s economy continues to grow—especially in the Bay Area—thanks to our talent, innovation, and values. San Francisco’s 10 biggest firms have a market value of $1.2 trillion—greater than Saudi Arabia’s entire 2022 GDP,” Newsom tweeted.

Really? Is that his observation from the back of a party limousine?

Newsom bragged Wednesday he is “sending over $267 million to 55 cities and counties across the state to hire more police, make more arrests, and secure more felony charges against suspects.”

…because spending billions has worked so well in shithole cities which have defunded or cut police. This is how the Democrat grift works.

Rather than face California’s very serious problems, Gov. Newsom just announced “on Sunday, as part of his trip to New York for Climate Week, Governor Gavin Newsom will participate in the Climate Week NYC Opening Ceremony. Speaking with David Gelles of The New York Times for a discussion entitled, “Approaching the Climate Crisis Differently,” the Governor will announce new climate efforts the state is taking.”

Because the “new climate efforts the state is taking” will mitigate the filth, drugs, homeless, crime, crumbling infrastructure, gang-on-gang murders, and rampant corruption in California’s shithole cities.

Gavin is running away from California after participating in its demise since 1997. And it appears he can’t get away fast enough.

  1. He owns it!  Newsom’s charter and globalist mandates accomplished. Newsom and cali joined at the hip with Biden and the DC cabal to destroy America. Transgenderism, energy, abortion the second amendment: To those in control and who matter,
Newsom’s performance stellar; he’ll be rewarded.

Californians elected Newsom, refused his recall then reelected him to a second term. Where’s the sincere disdain toward Newsom, where? It doesn’t exist rather he has been emboldened to the extreme. All the rancor over Newsom merely the minority fools whining and sniveling. Oh then there’s the fuel costs; Californians couldn’t do more to endorse Newsom’s policies and their results.
Newsom owns what he was chartered to accomplish: Notice his demeanor; he’s proud of his accomplishments and rightfully so.

  2. Just reading the litany of state wide problems makes the blood boil. Here’s why he is detested. His policies have caused the majority of the state’s problems. Even when Newsom appears to take responsibility it’s not genuine. He acts like an observer (who’s in charge here?) rather than a mover and a shaker. Sacramento Strategists think”spin” and “gaslighting” is the same as taking action. It’s not.

  3. Newsom’s day of reckoning may be at hand. If he doesn’t sign the handful of sexual perversion bills being sent to him by the likes of sicko state senator Scott Wiener he will enrage the alphabet soup mob. If he does sign them voters outside of California will never allow him to become president.

  4. Katy Grimes has admirably been like a dog with a bone on the subject of Torturer-in-Chief Gov Gavin Newsom, still faithfully covering what 98% of others won’t. With the steady growth of the California Globe readership we can thank her, alongside now-Congressman Kevin Kiley, for putting all of this unbelievable Newsom-caused destruction on the record and getting the word out on the national scene about this most loathsome politician. Because it seems, at this thus-far lowest point for California, that getting the word out to the nation is now our main goal.

See the video below, apparently from 2010. It’s grainy, with faded clips, likely an indication that the video and the clips in it are multi-generational from repeated attempts to scrub it and what’s in it from the internet; or so it seems. It is still useful, though. In it you’ll see (emphasizing that Katy Grimes is 100% correct) that Newsom has been a conscienceless menace and a destroyer from the beginning of holding political office in California. A quote from the video graphics: “A legacy of ‘whether-you-like-it-or-not’ policies.” True then and true now, all of these many years later. YES, absolutely, Newsom (& Co.) OWN IT ALL. As you know:

    1. Powerful video about who Gavin Newsom was and what his character is still like today. I believe that Newsom and his cadre of worthless political thugs’ days are numbered and that he will not survive the coming chaos that is going to surround him and the ilk that he is associated with. Evil people like Newsom have a short political lifespan. As right-minded thinkers we need to have a plan for post Newsom and what we would like to see this state to look like politically and when the opportunity comes. This State is ripe for a commonsense revolution and its residents are well into the process of waking up and will soon want to see commonsense ideas take the forefront.

        1. This is actually very plausible. Folks today need/want optimism about a positive future. I’m not talking about the made up “hopium” that Newsom has offered us that has only produced bad unintended consequences. I’m talking about plain old easy to understand policies that made this State the “Golden State.” To me California was built on several basic principles a few of which are cheap and plentiful water and power (gas &electric) that have historically been the engine of prosperity. It is our professional elected officials that have passed rules and laws that have messed this up and caused folks to believe a lie. Developing policies and creating a plan to re-revolutionizing this state when the opportunity comes is how to move forward. I stand ready to do whatever it takes.

  5. Not a scientific poll by any means but interesting results nevertheless. Who the heck is Terrisa Bukovinac progressive pro-lifer?

  6. Bottom line he’s a left wing Democrat which are now communists (arguably fascists). They will only destroy and take! They will never make the world a better place, never improve anything except their own wealth, never give back and will never ever care about you whatsoever unless pretending to will benefit them. Expecting anything different from Newsom will just drive you crazy.

  7. Career politicians such as Gavin Newsom take what was once good and thriving and destroy it! As he ascends in his political party everything he inherits descends into darkness.
To think it all began when S.F. Mayor Willie Brown appointed Newsom to a vacant seat on the Parking and Traffic Commission in 1996.
Thanks, Willie you gave us Newsom and Kamala!

Thanks for the list of destruction Katy. It should be printed out and put on car windows, placed in post office lobbies and community bulletin boards? Also posted to social media, Facebook and X aka Twitter.

  8. Nobody is better at feigning outrage than is the pampered, spoiled son of the San Francisco elite. He’ll throw in a cuss word or two to give the impression that he actually cares and the media and the sheeple eat it up. Then he goes right back to living the life of privilege that he believes he is so richly entitled to. He’s a poser and a fraud, nothing more, nothing less.

It amazes me. This rich white man should be everything young people despise yet they seem to think he’s wonderful, while they fill up their gas tanks with the five and a half dollar a gallon gasoline that Gavin and his party are responsible for. I just don’t get it.

    1. It is fascinating.
A lack civic education could be the answer.
I bet most that graduated public school in California would not know how our government operates or should operate.
They are taught to like shiny things handed out by the government.

  9. Katy Grimes is so correct that the narcissistic wanna be dictator like Newsom owns the mess that he and his fellow Democrats have made of the once great state of California. Newsom needs to be hauled before a tribunal and be held accountable for his many crimes against humanity that includes locking healthy Californians and small businesses down (while excluding himself and his cronies) during the Covid scamdemic and for mandating experimental mRNA shots that have injured and killed thousands of innocent Californians. He and his soul needs to be held accountable!

  10. How about adding the no bid Chinese mask deal and the Perkin-Elmer covid test lab fiasco to the list, was the $30 billion of EDD fraud loss on the list?

  11. Simply stated Newsom has been a miserable failure as Governor! Not the problem solver he claimed to be. All this money burned with nothing to show. A genuine fraud!

  12. Great article. Recommend a couple more items should be added: the black hole for money better known as the Bullet Train project and pollution of our southern beaches.
Gavin should have pulled the plug on the Bullet Train project. Billions spent on a train that will probably never be completed. That money could be used for other projects such building more reservoirs.
I live in San Diego County. The waste treatment plant in Tijuana has been broken for months. Recently, the waste treatment plant on the U.S. side broke down. For months, raw sewage and other waste has been carried north and shut down beaches in Imperial Beach, the Silver Strand State Beach, and Coronado. Pollution levels are so high no one is allowed to swim or surf. Imagine being a guest at the Hotel Del Coronado and told you can’t go swimming.
I have lived in California for more than 50 years and watched while the state go downhill. I personally know many people who have retired and moved to other states. A number of those are retired civil servants who now spend their generous pension in their new home states.
